Thank you. I did not think it was THAT confusing. I am looking in our forum because the apk alone might not be workable straight to our device.
I wondered if someone here was already working on it. And obviously, I'm also looking in the Galaxy Camera forum as well.

You can try it but expect it to fc just about all the time, gotta remember that's a camera that has a android device attached to it, not the other way around. There's a lot of hardware there that we lack
noted for future reference on my Note 2
Of course it will fc if I just load the apk on this phone which is why I was looking here in this forum and not the SGC forum cuz here the problems would get some attention. Anyhow, it would be an interesting addition to our wonderful phone and will probably happen in time. Thanks all who replied.

that is the stock 4.2 camera he is asking for the camera in the samsung galaxy camera. which i doubt can be ported but it should be heavily tied into the devices framework and hardware
I'm glad someone can understand this request, as unlikely as it is to happen lol.
But this is XDA and I have seen less likely things happen. But I'm not holding my breath for the camera.

Hmm, speaking of off topic requests, does anyone have the aosp 4.2 gallery and camera working for our notes? I haven't seen a thread for it here or in the AT&T section.
I could flash the Camera and libs, but wanted to ask first.

This thread, has the camera, gallery. The other links for the clock and keyboard all seem to be dead in that thread though, but the camera and gallery link works.

These may be known issues, but do you get FC on camera flash and if u try to edit anything in the gallery?

Actually turned out to be a helpful thread for me, since it pointed me to the flash for the 4.2 camera and galaxy that was missing from my ROM.
I've got the system dump of Galaxy Camera. I've extracted the camera .apk from system/app/ but with the odex file. I can't deodex it because it's something with the framework. Doesn't seem to be something very different from our Note 2 .apk but it must be something with that camera lens. If any developer wants to send him the .apk and .odex file, just PM me. I'm really interested in making this work on our Note 2's.

I've been trying to install the hyperx camera mod on my sprint galaxy sIII for days now and nothing works, I've seen roms with the mod included in it but they are all for the international version and not the sprint sIII...any idea which rom might have this mod, or or just how to get this mod on my phone at all??

Yes. Turn on nfc. Make sure you have the apk on your desktop. Take 4 steps back and throw your phone at the screen as hard as you can. Itll say transfer complete. Keep trying if you dont get the message.

hey guys, i have the google music player from the new nexus dump that has been floating around the interwebs. it works fine on my s3 and it should on yours too. i have had no problems at all and no FC's. i have not yet tried this on anything apart from stock and omega, so it it works on yours, reply letting the rest of the community know
first, rename the downloaded "music2.apk" to "MusicPlayer.apk" and dont change the downloaded "MusicFX"
then go into system/app and delete your old music player, should be named "MusicPlayer.apk" and also delete "MusicFX.apk"
then simply paste both of the new files in.
set permissions for both of them to rw, r, r
and finally, reboot.
the new music player should be in your app draw
its much better than the stock Samsung one in my opinion
oh, and dont forget to backup

that is something that i have noticed a lot lately, people putting things up without comprehensive "noob" friendly instructions. i remember when i was new to this site, i had a lot of trouble trying to do things because it was assumed that i already had the knowledge.

Problem with that is how far do you go back .
Its ok saying push app to when they don't know how to push nor what tool is needed nor the fact that they need to be rooted .

Thanks for this MOD guys .... best result if you already have Google Play Music abc your rooted Delete current Google Play Music via Titanium and flash this MOD with custom (CWM) recovery then all should be sweet...good luck flashers LOL

Try to install it, it should be an apk
Even if it doesnt work, it wont brick your phone or anything because its just an app. Its mostly flashing things incorrectly or corrupted packages that will do that

Yes in time we will get most of the S4 features that don't rely on hardware. I would say In a matter of time one of are brilliant devs will have a port of the hole camera app and gallery

Thanks for the heads up! I've been in the development section and am using the Translator & S-Voice from the S4 leak, but unfortunately I haven't seen anything for the camera upgrades that the S4 has.
Guess i gotta be patient lol

There is a paid app called Strobe Motion that is similar to Drama Shot. Not as elegant from what I can tell.
Does the galaxy s4 have the photosphere app just like the one from nexus 4? I tried looking for it in the camera settings and couldnt find it.

No. I have it on my Samsung Nexus 10. I don't know why they couldn't put it on this flagship. I guess they thought panorama is good enough.

Only nexus devices have photo-sphere at least out of the box..... How I miss this feature pictures were amazing
Sammy is supposed to come out with samsung orb which will be their photosphere.
