You really need to define stable. And read other threads. I've been using Aero's as a daily driver for a long time. It's also been asked and discussed many many times.

Data working, mms, phone, minimal crashes, camera pretty much the basic things .
Last time I tested aero's rom it had some issues, but that was a very early build. I haven't tested recently.

What is aero's rom?

Depending on what you want in the camera, the rom meets all of your requirements. Quite stable and very snappy.

I guess I could have clarified that Aero's newer builds can be found at:

He hasn't updated the OP for a while even though he has updated the rom.

has anyone tried this on rooted stock rom?
let me know please.
thanks in advance.
This will NOT work on stock-based roms. If you'd like, I can post one for them later today. No guarantee it will work though. I don't run stock.
And I don't know what you are talking about. I've been running CM7 since late December. I have no bugs, it is butter-smooth, everything works, and best of all...being CM7, it is themable anyway you wish. For example, CM7 with the Lucid theme found here https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sonny.theme.lucid&hl=en
is beautiful. Add some ICS themed widgets, and it looks like you are running something even prettier than ICS.
No problems with battery life either. Been getting 18 hours according to Battery Left with a 1.8Ghz OC. You keep saying CM7 is an Alpha but quite honestly, there aren't any bugs on it (provided you keep the GPS on).

No. I don't use Mr. X's CM7 kernel because it is really really choppy (scrolling especially). I use Da_G's Skyrocket CM7 kernel. Imo its is a night and day difference. Everything works except auto-rotation.

Love the idea but not a big fan of CM7. Any chance you can make this compatible with Juggernaut or Macnut?
You want ics transitions. Go to uot kitchen. Upload what it asks. Go to the mod that says ics transitions and apply. Submit changes to the kitchen and wait until its cooked. Irll give you a flasha le zip if there were no.errors. Nandroid backup and flash. Walla!!!! Ics transitions. Ive done this before and seriously takes a max of an hour dependong on how many requests the kotchen is taking. Ive learbed to be resourceful and figure things out on my own. Also it doesnt hurt to check out the Android apps section in General. There are some good guides there for building base roms, theming and kitchen, building ziPS, extracting stuff. All those mods you guys ask the devs to incorporate are there and most are noob friendly.

Well, nightlies are a new build every night, so they can vary. Sometimes features are added & removed, as nightlies are test builds before a RC(release candidate).

This is true.... Anyone who's enjoying cm10, it's at least worth your time to check out the nightlies.
Installed cm 10 for the first time last night. So far so good. Fast as hell on the stock kernel, can't wait to get some over clocking ability with it. This nightly should be called a daily instead.

no offense, but i highly doubt that it should be called a daily. there are still LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of things that need to be fixed and implemented into these CM10 builds. everyone working on it is doing an AMAZING job, but it isnt a daily just yet. still has some reboot issues for some, screen flicker, etc...
i just hope its not too long till the RCs start comin.
Disabling HW overlay solves the flickering and reboot issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend trying it out. I ended up going back to freegs3 however. I actually admit that i missed a lot of tw's interface and features. After the cm10 settled a bit it seemed to be just as fast as freegs3 (overclocked) with the exception of improved touch response. Battery life was a bit better too since i have to oc to match cm10's speed.
I love cm10 but the data speeds suck on it. 5-6 mbps. Curious about the nightlies though. And I never ever had reboot issues with cm10.

Well, I ran cm10 for about 5hrs today, and out of roughly 10 phone calls, 3 of them lead to a reboot mid call. I didn't try a reinstall and I also never really looked into it. Maybe fixing permissions, clearing cache & dalvik would've helped resolve the issue, or I could've had a bad flash? Just because it happens to one person doesn't necessarily mean it will happen to everyone.
Very true.
sent from my SGS3... the envy of all many friends!
What's the proper procedure for flashing nightlies over one another? Is it simply wipe cache, wipe dalvik cash, flash latest nightly, reboot? IIRC a full wipe is not necessary when flashing a new nightly over a previous nightly, correct?

as far as i know it is not necessary, but it is, as always, highly suggested. bug reports hold less water if it is not a clean install, and you are more likely to run into bugs especially as they fix the bigger issues.

Link to CCM 7.2 V 1.5 please

In the Condemned CM7.2 V1.6 thread, it seems a few users are having minor problems show up and CCM 7.2 v1.5 with aeroevan 0.8bfs has fewer glitches. I was looking to flash over to CCM 7.2 v1.5, but I can't find any links for it. I searched around a bit and I'm not sure if I'm just being dumb or if it's listed under a different version name. Anyway, if someone could post a link for it, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks, I will try flashing this tomorrow morning. Are you using the stock kernel? Also, I've read (and experienced) some of the CM versions having issues with the keyboard where random keys just will not be registered and you have to reopen the keyboard or reboot....is there any this happening?
Regardless I'll be trying it tomorrow, thanks.

Yes, stock kernel. You can use the .8 if you please. I plan on doing the same, I just haven't gotten around to flashing it because I get lazy.
I have no keyboard lag at all. Everything is as snappy as ever. I do miss the ICS features, but just having everything working and running at a blazing speed makes up for the missing things.
I'm sticking with this or another Gingerbread based rom until we get official ICS because I miss having a fully functioning phone.

I've been using UKB V for a few days now and love it. My only problem with it is that I find it annoying to end up on lockscreen when I select something from the notification bar, and that screen unlockers are glitchy in general. I've read that's an ICS issue though, so I'm not blaming the rom. Just mentioning it because it's the only thing I'm disliking about the rom. Trying to decide if it bothers me enough to go back to GB...

HTC One X - Feel The Power

I have made the video in which I have run multiple apps, played music and played fluently 3 HD videos at the same time. All this have been done on custom rom based on (still nightly, not for daily use) CyanogenMOD 10 called CyanogenMOD 10 SE v1.0 which makes it more impressive.
I'm very impressed with the results and that's the reason why I am showing this to you.
Why do you say CM10 isn't for daily use? It's perfectly stable, I've been using it since I got my HOX with almost no problems at all

Nightly means that the build bot makes a new build every night which includes any new code that's been approved

Like you see "It should be safe enough for daily usage", but here and there is some SOD, and some users have some minor problems.
Name of the thread is "[ROM][official] HTC One X - CyanogenMod 10 Nightlies -4.1.2|SOD&lowpower freqs fixed" where you can see that it had SOD and lowpower freqs problems.
I have run this test on modified CM10, and I think that this video is showing that CM10 can handle heavy tasks
Generally, for CyanogenMOD, when it is in Nightly "faze", it's considered not for daily use, but, I am repeating myself, that I have showed on this video your point of view

This phone is actually very capable, I like it a lot.
Also I've noticed the 4.4 builds of Carbon do not support everything (like developer settings) like the 4.3 builds do. I stick away from KK until it has all the features JB does plus that.
I'm not sure about PACman yet. But it looks really nice I'm really excited to give it a try.
Hope this helps. Also shayneflashindaily said it best. It's really user preference. But if you want a ROM to try I recommend the two above me.

Just a little update if you'd still like to know:
I found PACman to be a little TOO feature filled. It feels like some of the things step on eachother's toes. Also I found some performance dips and bugs like if you press home your apps and widgets do not show up until you open and close your app page. Carbon runs decent with some hiccups. I used this here kernel to speed it up. Make sure you have your backups to restore if flashing the kernel doesn't work out for you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2637838
I have actually found it to be faster with the kernel.
Only a few hiccups I'm looking to find ways to eliminate entirely. I'll give you an update if you decide to use it and would like to know more
