PMR and V6 Supercharger - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Which do you prefer and briefly why?
Anyone using both together?
T989, AOKP JB MS1 (KK nightly)

I'm using both but honestly with v6 I feel more of a difference. Granted they aren't the same thing and pmr have stuff v6 doesn't have. Btw his new app is pretty sick don't think its possible for a noob to mess it up.

I use both but I use the battery tweak on price and the speed tweaks on V6.. If you are strictly looking for performance tweaks V6 is the way you go IMO

V6 all the way

I went with both, running V6 first and then being careful to avoid anything in PMR that looked like it overlapped V6.

This dev is an eccentric and brilliant guy. His writing style is hard to follow, but if you patiently read through several times it will all become clear.
It is worth the effort, because the V6 tool itself is extremely easy to use and very effective.

Pimp My ROM is in the Play Store.
To get 100% supercharged use this Windows tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869663
1. Download and unzip
2. Open JellyScreamPatcher
3. Attach your phone to PC with USB debugging enabled
4. Watch it work
5. Unplug USB and run V6 script on your android to confirm 100%

first off you will need some sort of scripter app from the play store.. I recommend "Smanager" its free
then you need the update 9 RC11 file from this pagehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
then you select the update9RC11 file with smanager, tap the little superuser icon and make it turn green and then select run..
the script will run and guide you the rest of the way.
you are on ICS so that is all you need to do

kobridges aokp tweaks build.prop ?

I was wondering what's involved with updating kobridges tweaks for aokp.I've just been copying the changes from the b39 aokp tweaks the ones mostly in the bottom to the new build.prop in times infinity newest build.prop. Is that all that's involved? I also have all initd scripts of my own set up and running verified by s manager. Do cm9 tweaks apply to aokp since aokp is based off cm? Just a couple questions. Thanks for any help ! If I learned how I.wouldn't mind updating it with kobridges permission.

V6 Supercharger on ICS

Hi guys, I opened this thread just to garner opinion about V6 supercharger and all other ram management scripts/apps, their effectiveness on our ICS roms. I use CM9 and just supercharged today, didn't really make a dramatic difference. In fact at times it feels more laggy than without supercharger. I'd like to know if anyone has a similar or different experience on any of the ICS roms for our phone.

Did u use the right way of using the v6,coz for ics u have to upload and download your system.jar from android mimics, bit different from the gb.
And i think v6 only would not be enough on ics, need more script like velocity or s97 juwe script and autokiller ram optimizer to boost the ram management that caused lag.

Yeah, you right. The best way to find a tweak/script that suit you properly is to test it by your own.
Thus, I recommend guys to test other known script - Thunderbolt script

Okie, I will give a short conclude on what I'm doing on my phone now.
You right, I using both forfivo kernel v2.2 with freeky engine, pretty good and smooth so far, at least less lag I see
But 1 thing should mention here, geeky engine make my phone more worst, feel slow sometimes (I asked the dev and he not sure the problem too). Test yourself and see how.
So if you use freeky engine, you should move xbin to system instead of system/etc, otherwise zipalign may not work

+1 on that. I'm currently using Jedi Knight 2. Absolutely awesome ROM. very stable and fast. Since I'm newbie, I can't post any comment on the development section.
Couple issues I would like to mention:
- the DSP manager is very selective. Doesn't work with 3rd party music player like pandora. I found the solution by uninstalling the current dsp manager with titanium backup and reinstall using version that works system wide. I absolutely loved it!
- I added battery saver mod (CPU Sleeper) from play store by Eugene. it certainly make the battery last lot longer and cooler.
- I added couple extra apps that were ported from S3 like S-Voice, S-Suggest, S-Memo. All running smoothly without single hitch.
- I also added Google Now that was ported from Jellybean. Work like a charm!
- Upgraded to CWM touch 6.0.1.4. Highly recommended. more stable and I experience zero issues.
Since this is pure experimental for me, sometimes during upgrade, I hit couple issues like rooting issues, unable to connect to network provider, slow performance, etc. Finally I found the right way to restore backup by doing preliminary cleanup :
- wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- SUPER wipe and Cache wipe using darkside script.
- Lastly, format system.
So far everything running smoothly.

I just installed the official Jedi knight 3 last night.
so far so good. couple issues :
1. The first time installed the ROM, after waiting for >10 minutes, I got setup menu crash. but it I can proceed with the setup without problem.
2. Awesome beats is not working with third party music player like Pandora. I have DSP manager version that works with 3rd party (system wide).
If pmtr3 can fixed this, this will be awesome.
Running AOKP ICS Milestone 6 with a koodo radio (Telus SIIX).... Was running CM9 for a month or so as well... I'd recommend either, I like some of the customizations in AOKP a bit more though...found them both very stable and smooth

What are your MODs and TWEAKS for Galaxy Wonder??

I've been looking on some new at our Galaxy W Threads and at XDA's home site, and found some new tweaks/mods to install/flash at my GW
Wanted to share with you how it is now:
- CM9 Beta 2
- Forfivo's Kernel v1
- Disable CPU rendering
- Bravia Engime
- xLoud / MegaBassBeats
- SystemUI NotificationBar MOD (Jelly Bean alike)
- CM10 Bootanimation
- Google Now (not fully working... FC sometimes, but reliable)
AnTuTu Score ate 3457 ...
I have about 120 downloaded apps, basicaly faceb, whatsapp, Maps, Beautiful Widgets, Juicy Defender and Watchdog at constant background.
Yet, I can't run games like Dead Space, Mass Effect, Batman or Asphalt 6/7 (FC or about 2 minutes oppened, goes back to homescreen... The apps are legitimated ones, not piracy downloaded)
I saw an app capable of disabling backlight for more battery life, but not tested yet. Thinking of instaling the Geeky Engine too... (any sugestions?)
What are your mods/tweaks? (sorry for bad english)

But biohazard v5 have almost the same tweaks like mutant right?

mutant rom has script made by rio,the maker of black note. im pretty sure it is the one boosting the rom but the problem is the bootloop when i put it to my indroid remics
BHv5 use 2 init.d script which is also the only script found at arco's cm9
btw what rom do you use?

Currently using paranoid android after a while in indroid remics. Still waiting on the bioahazard v5. Maybe you could pm Rio and ask him how to put the script into our rom? It would be nice if he wanted to share.

After Geeky Engine
OK, guy's, first, thanks for all participations in this thread, it really was something that was missing for this Smartphone section...
No more yada yada:
I flashed ONLY the Geeky Engine, and been using it for 2 days.
The CM9 Beta 2 ROM is running FLAWLESSLY! Simply, it's not even getting close to a lag (except those net connection-deppendent...)
My score at AnTuTu went from 3457 to 3783!!
Great improve in response and other daily usage things...
Recommended!

Maybe why it didn't work because the script is made for gb and our rom is Ics based. Maybe it have a different settings.

I had trouble at first too finding them. So I paid a visit to AOKP.Co and found it.

Nightlies are pretty good by Kasp3r, but I wanted to use the most stable base of 4.1.2.

There's a possibility, if I can find out how to implement it. It's different from stock ROM to implement it. Also, not sure but I think the tethering hack is just an illusion, I can't find any surefire evidence that it works. I was never told by T-Mobile to begin with I needed to purchase tethering when I used any tethering apps, or CM, AOKP native tethering, and I highly doubt a firmware hack is going to bypass a server-side cap.
Just decompiled framework-res.apk, the settings are different from TouchWiz here on AOKP. So no, the mod cannot be implemented.

Thanks for the rom. Smoothest and fastest aokp I've tried. The only bug I've found is it tripled my songs but the duplicates don't play. I'll let you know if I find a fix

I unfortunately can't release build 2 yet because the init.d tweaks keep causing a boot loop.
