Are there any ICS rooted with bloatware removed available yet? Needed for Telus

You'll have to dig through the dev section to find what you are looking for.. There are plenty of ICS roms to choose from.. Either here or in the Skyrocket forum.. If you want a debloated rom you should try jedi mind trick its light and very stable

I need to re root. But either stock ROM that I mod myself, or jmt, that's a very stable fun yet clean ROM.

+1 on that. I'm currently using Jedi Knight 2. Absolutely awesome ROM. very stable and fast. Since I'm newbie, I can't post any comment on the development section.
Couple issues I would like to mention:
- the DSP manager is very selective. Doesn't work with 3rd party music player like pandora. I found the solution by uninstalling the current dsp manager with titanium backup and reinstall using version that works system wide. I absolutely loved it!
- I added battery saver mod (CPU Sleeper) from play store by Eugene. it certainly make the battery last lot longer and cooler.
- I added couple extra apps that were ported from S3 like S-Voice, S-Suggest, S-Memo. All running smoothly without single hitch.
- I also added Google Now that was ported from Jellybean. Work like a charm!
- Upgraded to CWM touch 6.0.1.4. Highly recommended. more stable and I experience zero issues.
Since this is pure experimental for me, sometimes during upgrade, I hit couple issues like rooting issues, unable to connect to network provider, slow performance, etc. Finally I found the right way to restore backup by doing preliminary cleanup :
- wipe cache partition
- wipe dalvik cache
- SUPER wipe and Cache wipe using darkside script.
- Lastly, format system.
So far everything running smoothly.

+1 for Koodo V3. Best one I've tried.

+1 to Jedi Knight. I'm running the beta version for Jedi Knight 3, but it doesn't even feel like it's in beta. Had no problems with it whatsoever, and extremely fast and efficient. All bloatware removed.

I just installed the official Jedi knight 3 last night.
so far so good. couple issues :
1. The first time installed the ROM, after waiting for >10 minutes, I got setup menu crash. but it I can proceed with the setup without problem.
2. Awesome beats is not working with third party music player like Pandora. I have DSP manager version that works with 3rd party (system wide).
If pmtr3 can fixed this, this will be awesome.

Running AOKP ICS Milestone 6 with a koodo radio (Telus SIIX).... Was running CM9 for a month or so as well... I'd recommend either, I like some of the customizations in AOKP a bit more though...found them both very stable and smooth

Glad you like it. If you were to compare performance to Jedi Knight v3 or JMT v9 you would probably change your view point of view. Yet we'd rather you modified your attitude instead.

Your favourite ICS ROM

Hi all
Just want to see what's your favourite.
Robotomod not included because it's a combo of 3 ROMS. Sense 4 doesn't exist (yet).

MIUI v4 definitly! Great work!
I guess people are not posting on MIUI's thread because it is not as stable as other roms. (I guess).
I love MIUI but as of now, I don't really wish to flash a new ROM and start all over again. I'm still using CM9 Alpha2. Got time to update it today.
I'm looking forward to use MIUI next
I am looking forward for a stable and daily use MIUI. I guess it would rock. Till then CM9 for me.
MIUI v4 :highfive::victory:

Miui4.
Actually. None. Please don't mind but every time I flash an ICS Rom I end up restoring stock in a day or so. IDK. Wats the matter with me. But nevermind would give my vote to MIUI V4.really like everything In it but its just that even playing a 25. Mb 3gp Video just restarts the phone.

I just traded my samsung skyrocket for the nitro

I would say the best so far Ho!No!'s Full Throttle v6 (fast and awesome) and the stock ICS leak (not as fast, still awesome, very stable). The link for V6 is on page 8 of the Full Throttle thread in the development section. Make sure to wipe data/factory reset, cache, and dalvik cache before AND after flashing in CWM. Dunno if all of it is completely necessary but it generally makes things much smoother. You'll also need to flash gapps in order to get the play store, YouTube, etc. It can be downloaded via Rom manager or found via Google search, just use the newest one available.

There's a possibility, if I can find out how to implement it. It's different from stock ROM to implement it. Also, not sure but I think the tethering hack is just an illusion, I can't find any surefire evidence that it works. I was never told by T-Mobile to begin with I needed to purchase tethering when I used any tethering apps, or CM, AOKP native tethering, and I highly doubt a firmware hack is going to bypass a server-side cap.
Just decompiled framework-res.apk, the settings are different from TouchWiz here on AOKP. So no, the mod cannot be implemented.

CM10 Nightlies. I always get the most out of my battery out of it. Yet, the call quality on them kinda suck. People keep saying i'm breaking up while on a call.

I am running slim-star! I really like it. new build is 26.1 ... Currently re-flashing though because it wouldn't detect my network o__o so I couldn't call anyone.
ROM from GS2USR
I flashed almost all the ROMs and the best one so far is the "[P?+Aokp+Cm] P.A.Cman True All in 1 ROM[01-03-13]" by GS2USR . Using v 19.0 currently.
Very fast/ snappy, no bloatware, has all the options you can imagine. ANd everything works great. I went to other roms for change, but kept coming back to this for smooth sail experience.
Good luck brother !

Best T989 ROM Setup
Based on the advice of others who posted, I tried Slim Star v1.26, updated OTA today to v1.27. It is the best of all I tried for T989. No call echo, which was the deal breaker on a few JB roms. No WiFi issues, which I had with the latest CM10 nightlies. Here's the whole sequence of what I end up doing, after a lot of trying things
Flashed Slim Star ROM
Flash the Nexus boot anim from here
Flash Walkman.zip forget where I got that one from LOL, it was in the "Extras" or "Add-Ons" section of one of many ROMS I tried
Flashed latest ASD Kernel (probably overkill I know but I have good luck with this flash as far as eliminating Echo)
Bonus that ASD Kernel flash script does a cache wipe and dalvik wipe and reboot for me, so I do it last (3 less things I have to do in CWMR lol)
Wait 10 min (hardest part LOL)
Reboot, wait 1 min
Set up Google Acct but don't restore phone! Once I accidentally didn't uncheck Restore Phone and it won't let you go back! I had to start all over LOL
Slim Star comes with an app called Update Me, full of Awesomeness. I used the Add-ons menu in there to download a Extras.zip and it's own Slim-Gapps, reboot to Recovery and flash both of those
Today Slim Star did an OTA update of itself to 1.27, dirty flashed that, then set default keyboard to Android because I have to have gesture texting! It just never stops getting more Awesome! :good:
Also Holo Launcher that comes with Slim Star did a Play store update of itself to v2.01. Nice launcher that comes with Slim Star, I set as default, has really good solid Settings organization, never "forgets" my settings like some ROMs did, also wrap around Home screens which I missed for awhile. And it doesn't try to be Phablet, which personally for me I didn't like about some ROMs.
I then disable the following Apps that I don't use (don't know if this is a good idea or not, but it seems to work)
Apollo (I use Walkman)
Google Partner Setup
Google Play Music
Music
Picasa Uploader
Picasa Web Albums
Seeder

Phone is really running better than it ever has, after I followed these steps. Hope this helps others.
