I've been trying to update my phone to a jelly bean rom and when I try to flash the kernel it says no device found. But when ever I check adb devices everywhere else it appears. Any help for fixing this?
Are you in fastboot mode and it says usb at the top (in bootloader)?

Hey,
unfortunately, I cannot go through the HTC logo at the beginning. Therefore, I wanted to flash a new RUU, but I am not able to connect my phone to the PC. When I am entering in the Fastboot menu and connect it to the PC, "Fastboot USB" appears only a few second and then "USB" disapears.(HTC Sync and Drivers are installed). When I am trying to find the Phone with the command ADB devices, there aren't listed any devices. Furthermore, when I am entering in the HBoot, it appears loading ...[PB99DIAG.zip], but then it freeze.
For your info this is my phone:

Download the 4ext recovery img from here. (Its inside of the zip).
Boot the phone into fastboot (back + power)
Run "fastboot boot recovery.img". The phone should boot into the recovery, and from there you can do a full wipe and flash a rom.
I downloaded the file and I ran the recovery.img with the command: "adb fastboot boot recovery.img" but nothing happend, because the PC does not recognized the phone. Did I everything right or should I run this command differently and not with the adb tool?
Thank You

You arent supposed to put adb in front of the command. Do it like i said in my post above. Also try "fastboot devices" before that command to see if it recognizes it. Adb doesnt work in fastboot.

Please Help,
I think my cousin has bricked my phone, I have tried everything and the phone will die soon as it wont switch offf.
Basically my phone has rooted and also the bootscreen unlocked, now my cousin didn't make a backup of my initial stock rom. so I am kinda stuck.
When I put the phone into boot via Power Button and Down Volume its comes to the white boot screen. When I Fastboot USB mode it says "SD Checking, Failed to open usb master", so how can i put this stock rom I found if my pc can't even detect the phone storage.
When I also go into my ClockworkRecovery and go into Mounts and Storage Menu > Mount USB storage, I get "unable to ums lunfile (no usch file or........ I thought maybe I could get the pc to recognize the phone sotrage via that way so I can put a ROM on the phone.
Phone has no ROM on it atm, I am slowly giving up.
update to the latest cwm or twrp then try again

I think it is beyond being fixed my friend, when I power up the phone without the cable then I put it in once is have pressed the power key for the fastboot, the phone is still not detected. when the cable is plugged in on the fastboot it shows "fastboot USB" so it must be doing something?
Is there anyway someone would be really kind and use a voip and direct me or is the phone just totally dead now?
Ok, you can get into bootloader so your phone is not bricked. You are rooted, correct ?
You have a fastboot folder on your PC with the necessary files in it ?

yes that is good, and from "fastboot usb" is where you install a newer cwm. get it from here>>>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240646 rename the file "recovery" and put it in your fastboot folder, then install it by typing in command window "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" then install your rom or stock nandroid that I linked for you earlier
same problem
Hi I have HTC ONE X after custom rom has lost imei number, bootloader relocked, android probably deleted and can't connect like normal with Laptop "UNKNOWN DEVICE" becouse all identification numers are 0, USB MASS Storage unavailable
Any ideas for bring him back?
Make sure you are in the "fastboot" folder that is on your desktop. In other words, the fastboot folder window is highlighted.
Hold the "shift" key on your keyboard and at the same time right click on empty space in the fastboot folder. Now you will get a menu, click on "Open command prompt here".
You should now have a fastboot terminal window and you can send commands to your phone using fastboot.
As "nogotaclue", said download ClockworkMod Recovery from Here . Put the downloaded recovery image in your fastboot folder. I would rename the downloaded recovery to "recovery_cwm". I do this because I find it easier to distinguish between recoveries that way.
Now go into your fastboot terminal window and type " fastboot flash recovery recovery_cwm.img " without the quote marks and then hit "enter".
Once you get a message saying that it succeeded type
" fastboot erase cache " hit "enter"
Now power off your phone reboot into bootloader and select recovery. If all is well you will be looking at Clockwork mod recovery 5.8.4.0.
Now you just need to get a ROM or a nandroid backup and you should be good to go....

Well I can enter the boot screen so thats a sign I guess, I am just waiting to charge the phone a little then do the process
So I'll recap what I have to do
1.)Hold Power Button + Bottom volume controller
2).Enters the BOOTSCREEN
3.)Scroll to FASTBOOT and press the power button on the FASTBOOT then (FASTBOOT USB) should appear
4.)Navigate to my C:\Users\Jon\Desktop\fastboot folder where fastboot.exe is and the recovery_cwm.img is
5.)Shift + Right Click open command prompt here blah blah
6.)In the CMD window type "fastboot flash recovery recovery_cwm.img"
7.)If succeeded, then the following "fastboot erase cache" hit enter power off phone.
8.)BOOTLOADER, recovery and CWM should be there.
I have a HTC One X Integra H3G before all this I was on the 4.1.0 version of the HTC, is there a link of H3G roms

In fastboot, you can only use fastboot commands. Choose fastboot from the HBOOT menu, and when connected to your computer, it should say "FASTBOOT USB." Then, you should be able to do a "fastboot devices," and your device should show up. Please provide the output of "fastboot getvar all" and we can better judge how to proceed.

That's not what I asked for, but it might be enough. You'll need to relock the device (fastboot oem lock) and then flash the 5.07.651.1 firmware.zip via RUU mode.
Here's the file you need to download, and place the file in the same folder on your computer from which you're running fastboot.
So, after relocking, at the command prompt reboot to RUU mode.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Then flash the firmware zip.
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Once complete, the command prompt will come back, and you can reboot back to the bootloader.
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
At this point, you will have the stock recovery, and hopefully it'll boot into it. So, when you get back to HBOOT, choose the "RECOVERY" option. If all is well, you'll get the red triangle with exclamation point, which is the stock recovery. Press both volume buttons and the power button at the same time to bring up the menu, and choose the option to reboot the device now. Hold the volume down button immediately after choosing to reboot so you can get back into HBOOT.
From there, you just have to unlock again, and then you should be able to flash a custom recovery.
Make sure you are running these commands from the folder with fastboot.exe in it. Otherwise they will give you the error you mentioned in your OP.
This may sound dumb but im having a problem relocking the device. My computer is not registing my phone.

For the purposes of this exercise, you need to select "FASTBOOT". Once you select that, it should change from FASTBOOT to FASTBOOT USB if the drivers are installed correctly.
Nothing is supposed to open on your computer - I'm not sure what you mean by that. You have to open a command prompt, and navigate to the location of fastboot.exe on your computer, which you're presumably downloaded previously.
Im not sure what I meant either sorry its been a long day. So, okay I have the correct drivers because it does say FASTBOOT USB but when I try in that command i get an error message stating it's not recognize internal or external.

Hey! I'm currently trying to flash a custom rom on my 9 pro from 11.2.10.10 and i've unlocked the bootloader. ADB commans are working fine, but as soon as I boot into the bootloader and type "fastboot flash boot "recovery.img"" it just doesn't do anything, no "downloading..." text or anything. I then tried to use any other fastboot commands and nothing works, (to be clear, my device is being recognized, "fastboot devices" does show my device. but no other command works, either doesn't do anything, or gives me an error.
any help would be much appreciated

I had similar issues and found out it was because I was executing the commands in the bootloader instead of fastbootd mode. Try running them in fastbootd mode instead?

Ermm, you're SUPPOSED to run the commands in "bootloader" mode, not fastbootD mode.
I'm kind of curious how unlocking the bootloader worked but using other commands doesn't.

I know wierd, right? None the less, certain fastboot commands were only successful for my 2127 in fastbootd
