Just like the title says, all my photos and videos are all gone. I am stock, non rooted, running official Jelly Bean. Before people think I did something to cause this, I don't even have a file storage app to delete or move any photos (I do now, which is how I found out they were gone). I tried restarting my phone twice and they're not there. I looked online to see if anyone else had this issue and someone did and he never found the solution. I would post the link but I'm on my phone right now.
Has anyone else had this issue? This is really depressing, losing all my photos from the last few months. Nothing else on my phone has been affected.
If anyone knows or has any idea for a solution, let me know ASAP.
Thanks, in advance

I don't have an answer, but I wanted to send my regards. My pictures are important to me too. I believe the stock phone has a couple of ways of backing up the pictures when you plug it into the computer usb port. There are also a few third party alternatives. I know it's too late for the current pictures, but a thought.
also, did you check bot the phone and the sdcard memory? Maybe you only checked one spot, and the pictures are on another.
ya in all fairness a 50 gb dropbox which gives the option of backing up all photos and videos comes with the phone. Why not use it? that being said I can't believe the phone would just delete all that **** for no reason without a factory reset or something. I definitely recommend whats suggested above. make sure they're really gone before you freak
Yeah I checked on both my internal storage and sd card and no luck. I also checked hidden files and did find one video that I had taken but nothing else. And the only reason I didn't use the drop box storage is simply kuz I never expected this to be an issue and wasn't worried about it. Obviously now, I'm going to be much more cautious but I just wish I knew how it happened. It can't be malware or any malicious app kuz the only app I've downloaded recently was a game that was like in the editor's choice.

I've moved my post over to this section of the forum (out of the General Section)in hopes of finding one of you really intelligent tech guys who can solve this problem. I do not want to be out of line in posting this on the wrong board and apologize if I have done so.....I'm just really looking for a resolution to this problem.
I have a new Verizon XV6800 with NOTHING installed on it that would cause this problem. Stock out of the box.
On the Verizon XV6800, if you have received(missed) a MMS, the Flashing Amber Light will not appear so you can be notified of missing the MMS.
To the best of my knowledge, all XV6800 owners are experiencing this same problem when missing a MMS??
Under Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications>Event[Messaging: MMS Downloaded or New MMS], the phone will not allow you the option to check "Flash light for" to turn on this feature?? See the thumbnail
I have gone over this with Verizon and ETStarcomm several times and every XV6800 that they have tried does the exact same thing and they really don't care at all.
Again, the issue: On the Verizon XV6800, if a MMS is received/missed, unless you are right there at that very moment with your phone in hand and receive a ringtone(if you've set it up that way), then you will NEVER see a FLASHING AMBER LIGHT notifying that you've missed a message. Only the normal GREEN FLASHING LIGHT will be displayed and leads you to believe that you have not missed a MMS. This only happens with MMS. Any missed emails, text messages and/or phone calls will all cause the FLASHING AMBER LIGHT to come on.
Can anyone on this forum tell me if there is there a way to fix it??
Thanks for your help. Mark

Thanks for your response. Yes, I did see that post and it seems that it could possibly be the solution I've been looking for. I even sent nuchem a PM about that possiblity and he suggested that I install his program to give it a try. I would definitely do that, but his post has references to renaming certain files or registry entries. Yikes!!! I am such a newbie that the thought of even doing such a thing really scares me. Not even sure how I would go about editing the registry and if I did something wrong, well.....I've already got one disabled light so I sure don't need another one, or even worse, a non-functioning device. But, it does seem that his program is very straightforward and really slick. Just remarks about changing the registry and/or file names is causing me to hesitate 'cause I sure wish I knew more about this sort of thing.
I am though, growing extremely sick and tired of hearing Verizon tell me that there is nothing they can do about it. I'm all but positive that someone on this forum has the expertise to resolve what Verizon says they can't. Just need to find that person (I'm really hoping!!).
Thanks again for your response. Regards, Mark
hey.. i have a brand new touch pro 2 and my old one which has a crack on the screen has all my games, pics, apps, and contacts and rather than reinstalling them i wanna kbo if theres a way to flash the image of the harddrive to the new phone. any help would b greatly appreciated
SPB Clone...
Commercial program that is used to clone all apps, settings etc to another phone.
Cheers....
can i do it from the computer? cuz the phone that i want to take the settings from has a cracked screen and u cant see anything
Try MyMobiler. It shows your device's screen on the desktop, and should work, even if your device's screen is broken.
one last question i read @ another post similar to this one someone suggested SBP backup. are they the same thing? and if not, which one will turn my new phone into an exact duplacte if my old phone b4 it got cracked?

Most backup utilities can re-image your phone back to the way it was. I've used several of those utilities, including SPB Backup. I personal prefer Sprite backup. It can create a self executable file that can re-image the phone back to the way it was. It has the most flexibility IMO.

ok i used my mobiler which worked flawlessly, and i installed sbp
clone trial onto my phone and tried to make a backup file but it ran into a problem
this is what it said when it was finished

and its weird cuz it said that there was enough space to make the clone file
This ^^ is typical of my experiance with spb backup/clone software. I would give Sprite a try.
ok.. i just purchased it online.. ill check it out after work n let u all kno wat happened
Spb and sprite caused some weird issues with exchange. Wrong email count, wrong unread count, blank messages, and disappeared emails. Ended up deleting exchange and resyncing. Might be worth the time for someone who's also in exchange.
My camera was lagging and the camera app was crashing , everyday it got worse until today in which the camera either crashes or glitches with weird colours like this :

Did you get it wet? Go for a run with it in your pocket and get it sweaty? My friend had a similar problem with his Nexus 4 after getting it water damaged.

Hmmm yeah, I have done that a few times but I stopped because I was a bit shocked at how much moisture got on the screen. Is it a ROM problem?

Yeah mate, you could always try and reset it to stock with a new KDZ flash. It may get a bit technical but over on the G3 General page there is a good guide for it. Just make sure you back up everything, contacts, messages, apps, data, photos, music, downloads.. ect to your computer or copy all that stuff to your external SD card, or you will loose it. Also make sure you are flashing the KDZ for your model, never flash one that is for a different model or you will have serious problems.
Chuck a search in google for your model number and something like " Stock factory flash " or something along those lines, then find the corresponding XDA thread for it. Hopefully that might fix your problem. If it doesn't your options are to order a new camera part from a supplier and replace it yourself, or send it in to LG and have them fix it.
Just curious, have you tried another camera app from PlayStore, just to see what it does?

I tried other camera apps , they either crash or just show black screen.
On Christmas day I was recording my kids opening their presents. I took 3 pictures while recording the video. About 25 minutes into recording I paused the video and set my phone down. When I picked it back up I noticed it had went to sleep. I unlocked the phone and noticed the video was no longer paused so I started a new one. Later when looking for the video it was nowhere to be found. However, the pictures taken during the recording of the video are there. I tried looking in all folders using explorer, checked google photos and drive on the web, and trash. My Pixel XL has 2.31 GB of cached data. Can the video be recovered from cache or anywhere else? There was no reboot or any other error that I could see that would cause it not to be saved. The phone is entirely stock and I have not had the issue before or since and have recorded an additional 4 videos.
Hm, I replicated your issue and the video is still in my camera photos. I'm not sure how yours disappeared
Same thing happened to me with a 10 min video....Also disappeared no where to be found recording my kid's Christmas carol. I think it had to do with the length of the video. Shorter video was never an issue.
Throughout today, I made several 9-minute or longer videos to test out something. Like I thought, they don't show up under Videos until they get backed up to Google Drive. I found them under my local Photos folder. But I'm sure you've looked everywhere.

7.1 has a user option to allow Android to delete files automatically when you start running out of space. Did you have this option enabled? Just curious.

CZ Eddie, thank you so so so much for your help in this community. I'm a big fan!
Regarding auto-deletion, I thought of that also. Then I thought the OP's videos would have to be at least 30 days -- and backed up -- before Nougat would remove it.
I've been trying to duplicate this problem, and just can't do it.
(PS: Really like your signature: Waiting for DU.... Yeah, me too!)

I don't have it enabled, and I have 18 GB still available so there should've been plenty of storage available. There are others that have experienced the same issue here: https://productforums.google.com/fo...!msg/phone-by-google/h8DSnmJVTro/YwLxxPFYEgAJ

I tried that but the phone just restarted several times, then the program said cannot connect to phone. Tried around 5-6 times.
Not sure whether to post this here or in a different thread, but here goes and if it's in the wrong place, I hope the Mods will move.
I've posted this on Google and have not had one response in 5 Days, thanks Google.
I have gone to Myaccount.google.com and go into security tab from either my phone or PC browser, and yes I am logged in.
No matter which what I do, I am able to access the security tab and view, but when I scroll down to Your devices, none show up, If I click on the manage my devices link, I get the same 500 server error message, from phone or PC.
I have signed out and back in many times, I have also turned on 2 step and I still can't get into my device history. I can use all the other tabs with no issue, just the device tab gives me the server 500 error message for the past days. I have also installed the android app Find Devices by Google, from there I'm able to see all devices, but as you all know you can't delete a devices from there. Now the below issue might she a little light, but I can't resolve it
A few weeks ago I bought a One Plus 6T, set it all up on the same Google account as my OP 5T, but never put my sim card, as I was still using my OP 5T until the whole phone was set up like I liked it. After a few days I realized I didn't like the OP 6T b/c of the no LED notification which I was accustomed too, and also didn't like the TMO Splash screen, so to make a long story short, I sold it, and yes I did a full FR before I sold it. So now back to where we are and where I think the issue lies, when I check the app Find My Devices, as I mentioned it shows all my devices, but on the tabs of the devices, the first device it search for a location is the OP 6T, 2nd tab is my OP 5T, so I'm guessing the server error is b/c the google server is looking for the first device in line which is the OP 6T and therefore getting the server error b/c it can't be found. Hope this makes sense.
I didn't want to make a large post but figured you's need to know all this info.
So how do I get the OP 6T out of the Google system now.
Things I've done to date
1) Cleared cache for Google apps and also force closed and cleared data
2) Ste up 2 step for Security for now.
3) I've asked my brother that lives with me, who's always on your site and he suggested I post here to see.
4) I've tried post on Google, and contacting Google to no avail.
Here is a screenshot of the device section

Any suggestions how to resolve this issue. I have a phone that I sold and I want to remove it from my account. Please advise. All the google links and you tube video are one year old and so represent the new account page setup.
My guess is once the person I sold it hooks it up to there Google account, it might wipe out from my account.
This might need to be moved to a different section, maybe related to Google rather then my device ??
