My device has an unlocked bootloader, is running stock rom, stock kernel, and have reflashed the TWRP recovery after installing the OTA. The problem that I'm having is that SuperSU keeps cycling through the permissions and it's pretty annoying to see the notifications flashing again and again... I clicked the Reinstall and Full unroot commands but the app stays on so I don't know if they are doing anything. I don't have the permissions cycling anymore after I did that, but I'm wondering how can I do an unroot, so that I can do a clean reroot again? Thank you in advance!!

Hi guys, I have a question,
I'm working on unrooting my international GNII, så that it can be sent to Samsung services.
I restored my original system with CWM, installed stock recovery, ran triangle away, did a full unroot in SuperSU. After this I wanted to do a factory reset, but my device ended in a bootloop, and stock recovery was not available.
So I flashed a stock framework, which of course resulted in a binary count 1, så I redid the the whole thing again starting from installing a stock recovery. I chose the second last framework, so that I can get an OTA update to the newest one. Somehow I can't get the OTA update, the device is searching for an update without finding anything. After that a factory reset resulted in the bootloop again.
I don't really know how to solve this issue. What I want is a completely unrooted device with no costum binary. I got closest to this after stock recovery, triangle away and unroot in superSU, but then the phone, even though running without problems, sticks in a bootloop when I want to reset it.
Can you please help?
Thanks a lot.
Do mega wipe then flash stock.

What is a "mega wipe" ?
What version of odin should i use to flash firmware ?
Thanks.
Odin3.07
Search for zoot's wipe script.

RESOLVED
Okay, here is the deal.
1. I did a factory reset, cache and dalwik wipe in CWM.
2. I flashed the second newest frimware from sammobile.com
3. I flashed stock recovery from CWM
3. did triangle away and undrooted in SuperSU
4. I rooted with chainfires method, as this one already comes with stock recovery (thanks!):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542
5. ran triangle away
Now, the status after this was still "modified" in settings.
I connected the phone to Kies, which updated first Kies, and then suggested the Firmware upgrade.
Right now my phone is upgrading to the newest stock firmware and it's unrooted and with 0 binary.
P.S:
It's strange, but it seems like not even the Kies upgrade to the stock firmware changed the system status.
Custom binary download: no
Current binary: official
System status: custom
P.S 2:
After a factory reset now it says normal in system status. Great!
I'm at a loss as to what is wrong. I flashed a prerooted stock version of KitKat and I think root was working. But now for some reason it doesn't work. I flashed the supersu zip (v1.80) via TWRP recovery but after rebooting, the SuperSU app doesn't even show up on my device. When I install manually from thr Play Store it's as if I'm not rooted. I've flashed the zip multiple times and I do not want to factory reset and delete all my data (especially since I really can't backup without root atm). Any ideas?
Edit: sorry about the post title typo. *flashing
I was able to root my device using these instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2401901
I can confirm that it is rooted, TWR is loaded as the recovery and superSU is running as well as some root-only apps.
The problem is that no matter what or how I try, I cannot get a new kernel to install nor can I flash a ROM.
If I try to do either via Odin it completes without errors (either on the computer or tablet) but when the tablet is rebooted, no changes.
If I try to flash a rom from the recovery it just errors out and fails
I even tried using Odin to unroot and reset back to stock and that worked but when I re-rooted it again I was back to where I'm stuck!
Has anyone ever seen this before?

1), If you used the TWRP from that post, then you need to update to a newer recovery. TWRP for KK
2). Telling us that "it errors out" is pointless. You need to tell us exactly what error you are getting.
3). Attach the recovery.log from the failed attempt to flash a rom. Google can tell you how to get the log.
welp, I feel dumb - it was the wrong version of TWRP that was causing the problem all along
After installing a system update phone stayed on recovey boot. can't boot on normal. Tried wipe and restore did not help. Then make a factory reset. Now says "Your device does not appear to be rooted. Install Super SU now? This will root your device." Still looped on recovery screen... What can I do?
never take an ota with custom recovery. But since is sounds like you did that..what you will be easiest to do (if you can get into download mode), is tot the phone back to stock.

That's what I exactly did.. Everything running good again. No more ota updates for me. Thx
So i was trying to flash hacker kernel
It bootlooped.
So i reflashed renegade and tried reflashing.
it rebooted
now everytime i try and flash anything it reboots
super su is missing.
I installed super su from play store
when i go to flash binaries it reboots.
I updated TWRP
still same thing.
If i flash anything it just boots back to recovery.
Any thoughts?
Flashed back to stock and rerooted.
Did the trick.
Would you consider editing the topic to add the word "solved" please? The might help give others direction.
So when you started out from stock, you used Odin to install TWRP, but then thought you could get rooted by installing SuperSu from the Play store, which did not work.
Proper steps are to install TWRP using Odin with SuperSU on your phone. After TWRP is installed, instead or rebooting completely, reboot to Recovery and flash SuperSU that way.
Is that about right, @phelony?

No I had previously been rooted fine and dandy. for some reason TWRP started just rebooting on any flash.
so is it not going into bootloop mode anymore? because i've been having this problem for the last 6 months. i thought i'd try again and still doing the same, it'll get to the setup at the beginning and then reboot back to twrp????
