MIMO on Kindle Fire HD - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone managed to get dual band MIMO working on the Kindle Fire HD?
I've got a dual band Netgear WNDR3700 Router, and can connect to both channels separately. However, I can't see an option in the Kindle Fire's wifi setting, that allows one to enable MIMO and connect to both channels. Is a specific key security required for MIMO? I have WPA-PSK enabled on both channels, but am at a loss to see how to utilise them in tandem on the Fire HD.

[Q] 802.11n on the 1st gen kindle fire

I successfully rooted the kindle fire 1st gen and loaded android jelly bean using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192818
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2051331
however, my kindle connects to my router only at 802.11 G speeds (54 Mbps).
if I set my router to N only, then the kindle doesn't connect.
quick search shows that the device is N compatible.
am i missing something, or can someone tell me if this is a known issue (search doesn't give any answers).
thanks.

Fire TV Stick gen1 and 802.11ac woes

Not sure if it's caused by the latest firmware update but my 1st gen Fire TV Stick can't see/connect to the 802.11ac WiFi network if I set the channel to auto on my router (Archer C7v2). My other devices (mix of Android & Macs) can see/connect to that 802.11ac WiFi network just fine, however Fire TV Stick can only see/connect to it if I change the channel from auto to *any* one channel.
Anyone else had these ac-related issues with Fire TV Stick?
