Has anyone else had any problems with a bluetooth headset keeping their phone awake? I've narrowed it down and it's for sure my headset, but I cannot find a way to correct the problem. CPU spy says it's running 200 mhz constantly and not deep sleeping. I'm just trying to find out if other headsets do this or is my particular headset causing issues. For the life of me I can't figure out why the headset would keep it from deep sleeping. Any insight would be appreciated.

I got Plantronic HD Pro for 6 months without that issue . You can turn off Bluetooth & put on airplane mode for a day to check and when your phone connect to charger , phone will run at 200 all time

I'll try that tonight. The strange thing is the headset is killing my battery fast. Without using the phone, I'll drop 5-6% an hour.

Try to flash the update the headset from Plantronics website. While flashing the update disable the smart sensors. Then flash the update again and enable the smart sensors. See if that does it. I know it helped with my Plantronics Voyager PRO HD. If that doesn't do it then try you Galaxy Note w/o the bluetooth headset for a few days to see if this problem is really coming from the headset or from something else.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try the update and toggling the sensors. I have gone a couple days without the bluetooth and that's the problem.

For anyone else that may have this problem with the phone not sleeping with a BT headset, I narrowed it down to the bluetooth share app. If I force close it when I connect my headset, it clears up the problem and the phone sleeps properly. Just an FYI

Is this the Plantronics own app? What name is the app? I know of MyHeadset app from Plantronics. Is that the app?

No, it's a built in app on the phone. Go to settings/application manager/slide over to all apps, and scroll down to "bluetooth share". Force close it and the phone will sleep like it's supposed to. For some reason the app keeps the phone awake while the headset is connected. Force closing it does not cause any issues and fixes the wake lock issue.

I dont know why. I had the evo setup to auto connect to my car stereo. I did it automatically every time i toggle the bluetooth widget. For some reason the e4gt cant do it. it shows as paired but i have to go into settings every time to get it to connect.
Such an inconvenience.

Not sure, I have an old car to I have my bluetooth headset connected to the phone and I get into the car and connect to the system via stereo out and as soon as I disconnect the music starts playing on my bluetooth headset
Did you remove the evo profile from the stereo? Usually need to go into bt settings on the stereo and forget device or remove. I had to do this to mine inorder for auto connect to work. Now i am all good.

I'm running the latest unnamed rom, and it still does it in my elantra
My stupid car doesn't turn on Bluetooth automatically. Annoying.
I removed all profiles then i couldn't even get it to connect. It would pair but not connect. I reset my stereo and finally got it to connect again but still wont do it automatically.
Btw its Clarion CX609.

Bump the same thing happens to my car. My Evo4G would connect flawlessly and now my E4gT won't even connect. I removed everything having to do with my evo4g on my car. I have a 2010 Mazda3 I Touring Sedan. No bose.
I just got my gs3 from Rogers, and the phone works great but for some reason it does not find/detect my car's inbuilt Bluetooth system. My gs2 worked with no issues but my gs3 does not find the device when scanning . The Bluetooth worked when connecting to friends iPhone but not with my car. Anyone know what might be the cause?
My car is a 2011 BMW X6.

I have this problem too, ford focus with sync. It will detect it when I first pair the devices, but then it won't connect again after the connection has been disconnected. I have to forget the bluetooth connection and re-pair the phone with my car bluetooth to get it to work. Mine too is the Rogers version of the S3.

I can pair the phone once this way, but afterwards it will never connect again. Have to forget the connection and start again.

Try turning off your bluetooth and then turning it back on before you start the car.
Mine had the same issue (JVC stereo, Telus SGS3) until I hit the "initialize" option in the stereo. After re-pairing the phone it's worked great for 4 days.

I noticed that my Bluetooth issues went away with the latest AT&T OTA update from last week. I understand yours was on Rogers, but assuming you'll eventually (if you don't already) have access to the same update.
Bluettoth Issue on all stock TW based ROMs
What I have noticed is that I have had this issue on all Sammy based ROMS. Had no issues on the AOKP ROMS. On the Sammy ICS ROms the phone pairs but keeps switching between call audio and media audio in bluetooth. It sticks at call audio once you manually chose call audio and disconnect media audio in Bluetooth once it has paired.
I agree with you. I issues have gone after LG1 OTA update. Thanks

I recently update my phone to this ICS Android version and all goes perfectly until i switch on bluetooh, now when i turn it off got 100% CPU usage with a task called bluetoothd and i don't know how to kill it, i think its part of the system.
But i have the same problem with original 2.3.5 but i'm not shure if was the bluetooth because not rooted phones can't access system task.
Anyone knows how to do for this case, now i'm getting on bluetooth all time but it consumes battery.
Here the screenshoots with BT on and off.
Thanks for any help.
PS: if exist any way to kill this taks with bash command i can do it easy.
Very strange trying other solution turn off the USB debugging solve this problem but I can't understand why only happens when I turn off BT totally lag but turning on work perfect and that task is the only one that consumes all CPU, I have plans to investigate it, thanks for your help.

I noticed the same thing as you, 100% CPU when I turn off Bluetooth. My solution is to leave Bluetooth on all the time now. Try it out. My battery monitor shows me that Bluetooth doesn't actually use that much battery if it's not connected to anything. I have been doing this for the last week. Before that I used an app called automatic Bluetooth toggle to turn Bluetooth on and off when plugged into a charger.

As the title says, I am having issues getting connection. I have unpaired it, started completely over and still the only way I can Get it to play is physically going into Bluetooth and then click media to check mark. Sometimes have to do this 3-4 times before it clicks on.
I just started having these issues with it. Not sure if it is my deck or phone. It used to auto connect and play flawlessly for months. It still auto connects fine with phone calls, just the media portion is messing up.
Anyone else have any issues like this?
Deck is a Pioneer 9400HDBT.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have the same issue at times on my pioneer head unit...some ROMs work better then others ...running xperiaZ from jovy and I get connected pretty consitently . I have a feeling its the head unit more then the ROMs though...there's times where my phone says I'm paired but the head unit still flashing the Bluetooth icon. Think I have the 3400bh but I'm not in my car ATM to verify
Edit: 3400 ..phone connects fast for the most part but music tends to be iffy. Dont think its rom related at all.

I used to work at sprint and the s3 has blue tooth known issues. I assume it would be the same being the blue tooth hardware is essentially the same. I always told people to root their phones and load a custom stable rom and it fixes the problem of those few that did. Sorry I couldn't help much

Hello All,
I've tried to pair my phone with my Honda Accord's bluetooth system but whenever I stream audio there is a lot of feedback and static noises. However, if I am on a call then the audio is fine. I'm currently running Darth Stalker X2, I've tried multiple versions of the rom, other roms (including aosp) and kernels, odin back to stock, and I still receive the same results. When I tried to stream music with a htc sensation everything was working perfectly. So I don't think my car's system is the issue. Is there something I missed, or is my phone's bluetooth probably messed up? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I had the same issue with my bluetooth all I did to fix it was using rOM Toolbox to adjust the CPU slider.
