I recently update my phone to this ICS Android version and all goes perfectly until i switch on bluetooh, now when i turn it off got 100% CPU usage with a task called bluetoothd and i don't know how to kill it, i think its part of the system.
But i have the same problem with original 2.3.5 but i'm not shure if was the bluetooth because not rooted phones can't access system task.
Anyone knows how to do for this case, now i'm getting on bluetooth all time but it consumes battery.
Here the screenshoots with BT on and off.
Thanks for any help.
PS: if exist any way to kill this taks with bash command i can do it easy.
Very strange trying other solution turn off the USB debugging solve this problem but I can't understand why only happens when I turn off BT totally lag but turning on work perfect and that task is the only one that consumes all CPU, I have plans to investigate it, thanks for your help.

Well nope i try again and the same issue i cant turn off BT because CPU at 100% anyone knows something about

I noticed the same thing as you, 100% CPU when I turn off Bluetooth. My solution is to leave Bluetooth on all the time now. Try it out. My battery monitor shows me that Bluetooth doesn't actually use that much battery if it's not connected to anything. I have been doing this for the last week. Before that I used an app called automatic Bluetooth toggle to turn Bluetooth on and off when plugged into a charger.

Hi guys! When I got up this morNing my battery was at 100%, after 2 hours of screen off, it was at 55%. Any ideas what the hell is going on? I am using coredroid 1.2, set CPU I'd set to 1194/968, but screen off is set to 245/245. Any ideas? Thanks in advance 7

It's at settings>about>battery use
Also, I'd suggest uping your screen off profile one notch or you'll risk wake issues. You might also want to lower your minimum from 968, you're basically telling your device to never run slower than 968 and also check that the screen off profile has a higher priority than your main profile.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
You probably have a bad app or system process keeping the phone awake.
I'd also recommend dropping your wake min down (even as low as 245). There's no need to force the processor to run at 968 no matter what. For the sleep setting, I'd try popping the max up to 368 (I think thats the next step up?) because you can have wake issues.
Ok thanks guys! I'll give these a try.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has come across this issue and/or found a fix for it.....
Basically when I plug headphones in that aren't a handsfree kit I.e. aux cable on car stereo....my Desire HD becomes possessed by some demon and spaz's out. Music stops and starts, randomly starts calling the last number on my call log, then hangs up and just does othe crazy ****. I've been experiencing this on every Rom I've tried (sense+aosp+miui) and have yet to find out why its happening. If anyone can help me me sort this out, or put my mind at ease it would seriously make my day. Cheers guys.
(if you don't know what I'm on about I can upload a video, let me know...)

my best advice would be, is it still under warranty?
There's an app called headset blocker in the market. Try it and let us know if it works

Hi everyone,
I got my Nexus 7, so I thought I could ease on the HOX a bit, but I found that something is still running rampant in the backgroundm but I can't find what it is, even using GSam Battery Monitor. Screen has only been on for 25 minutes, and already at 43%!
I used the HOX as mobile hotspot this morning in the train, when I arrived at work, it had 80% left. Rest of the day I only used it for the occasional whatsapp. It's not even closing time for work now, and it's close to 40%, so something is eating the battery, but I can;t find what!
See enclosed screenshots, I would love to hear some advice!
Kernel, but who knows why?
Also, your crappy mobile signal on the way to work when you had no WiFi... It didn't like that much.
yeah I can get into that, but I don't get why, at the last part, the screen isn't turned on, but it the kernel is switched on ALL the time, I guess something must be running rampant in the background. I've just started going to apps and force stopping a lot of things to be sure...
Try using watchdog, it tells you which app which above threshold, gsam never tells u what the kernel was upto. U can also try better battery stats and check kernel wake locks.
ViperX Goodness
Thanks, I hadn't heard of watchdog yet, installed it! I will buy better battery stats when things get really out of hand

better battery stats is available for free at XDA for members only.
Search and you will find it.
btw which rom and kernel??
Are you using a career branded phone. Change the radio. Problem solved

I use everything stock, and my HOX is unbranded

Does your freq stay always at 1500? Check it via setcpu or CPU tweaker. Check the time of state.

try the "go power" app, it helps. always recommend it to my friends
wow ur batt drain seems to be bad...is unrooted?
Has anyone else had any problems with a bluetooth headset keeping their phone awake? I've narrowed it down and it's for sure my headset, but I cannot find a way to correct the problem. CPU spy says it's running 200 mhz constantly and not deep sleeping. I'm just trying to find out if other headsets do this or is my particular headset causing issues. For the life of me I can't figure out why the headset would keep it from deep sleeping. Any insight would be appreciated.

I got Plantronic HD Pro for 6 months without that issue . You can turn off Bluetooth & put on airplane mode for a day to check and when your phone connect to charger , phone will run at 200 all time

I'll try that tonight. The strange thing is the headset is killing my battery fast. Without using the phone, I'll drop 5-6% an hour.

Try to flash the update the headset from Plantronics website. While flashing the update disable the smart sensors. Then flash the update again and enable the smart sensors. See if that does it. I know it helped with my Plantronics Voyager PRO HD. If that doesn't do it then try you Galaxy Note w/o the bluetooth headset for a few days to see if this problem is really coming from the headset or from something else.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try the update and toggling the sensors. I have gone a couple days without the bluetooth and that's the problem.

For anyone else that may have this problem with the phone not sleeping with a BT headset, I narrowed it down to the bluetooth share app. If I force close it when I connect my headset, it clears up the problem and the phone sleeps properly. Just an FYI

Is this the Plantronics own app? What name is the app? I know of MyHeadset app from Plantronics. Is that the app?

No, it's a built in app on the phone. Go to settings/application manager/slide over to all apps, and scroll down to "bluetooth share". Force close it and the phone will sleep like it's supposed to. For some reason the app keeps the phone awake while the headset is connected. Force closing it does not cause any issues and fixes the wake lock issue.

Hello. As you can see in this screenshot, I'm having some wake activity when my screen is off and I have all auto sync off. I'm not sure what's causing this. And also my WiFi is on all the time and I have it only awake when plugged in. Can someone help me thx.
As far as I know I came to realization of this problem after doing the free unlocking method. Dunno if that can be the cause.
I'm on wicked v7 w/ ktoonz kernel.

Your network signal looks like the problem. When you have a weak signal, the phone has to compensate, so it cranks up the power to the antenna.
