Hi,
My HOX fell down a few times (never ever alcohol again!).. I noticed that the camera doesnt work anymore. When I open the camera app, the camera options appears, but the picture still is black. The Frontcam neither works!
I think, that a flex cable just got broken or went out. Could this be possible?
Im pretty sure that the camera itself not got broken and it's not a software issue!
If just the flex cable went out or something like that, I want to repair my HOX..
Thank You!

probably the 2 cameras have one single cable connected to the motherboard... that cable could be broken or detached
Where can I check if the HOX really have one single cable for both cameras?!

It's not very difficult to open the HOX -maybe have a look at youtube with suitable word, or search here in the forum.
As I had some problems with WLAN, and have seen some postst that it maybe can be caused by bad antenna-contacts I'd made it alogside looking a film in TV. You just have to get out the SIM, and Tesafilm to fix the volume and On/Off Key. No more tools needed.

Hi there.I don´t know if this post goes here.Sorry if it doesn´t.I didn´t know where to put it
I was changing the digitizer on my Desire HD and I realize that that I broke the ribbon on the picture. Can anyone help me about what to do?Thanks in advance.
Sadly been there and done that....Only 1 solution-buy another. This process is next to impossible without lots of experience-parts are very fragile! Your best bet is to buy an entire assembly with the digitizer and lcd already attached. Much much easier, but not easy by any means still. Good luck.

Hi again.I change the screen but now the wifi won´t work.I can´t activate the wifi.It says error. It´s like i don´t have a wifi antenna.Any help?
wifi antenna
I think your problem is bigger than an antenna. The antenna is the same one as the gps antenna and is fitted in the panel around the flash leds. If you were to enable the wifi and just could not pick up any access points, then I would say it was your antenna, but if you are receiving an error, it is more likely that either the wifi module is damaged or somehow disconnected.
Do the rest of the radio parts work? i.e. GPS, Cell, bluetooth? Can you tell me exactly what the error is that you are receiving?

not much, but it is simple test for the flex ribbon.
open the phone and check the flex connection too motherboard
worst possible thing is that you ripped the flex ribbon during removal from middle chassis
2 areas worth checking-the reciever jack at the top of the phone CAN be put on in the wrong direction-red wire should be towards the top of the phone, black towards the bottom. The long, all black wire running by the camera is the bluetooth coaxial cable and maybe not on its connector properly-kind of pops on when right-check both ends. It also could be damaged/pinched running up through the phone. It could also just be a bad component on the upper board and that whole board needs replacing-a pain after what you've done already.
bluetooth/wifi and volume buttons not working
I think yamFZ6 is right. You likely have a cable not fully seated or a damaged cable. Both the Bluetooth and wifi are on the same chip so it makes sense that both of them would fail together, the volume buttons are a separate module, so they are likely all on a single cable that has issues.
One last thing to try before tearing it apart again, do a full wipe and see if it works properly. This is a long shot, but worth checking and can help with troubleshooting if you cannot find any cable issues.
Good luck,
Let us know what you find.

Looks like the black wire (blue tooth coaxial) near the camera is in toward the battery area too far...battery would be pushing in on it every time and could have broken it...admit that's a long shot...but. Starting to feel like a new "upper" circuit board is in order...hope this helps

Do you know where to buy it?
I have seen it for sale somewhere out there but can't find out where that was now. I would look for a "parts" phone on ebay. usually you get more than a fair amount of usable other parts with it. I just did this for that exact issue plus I needed a 'mid frame'. I got just about everything else with it also as the lower, main board was the problem with that particular phone, Got a usable digitizer, lcd, case, extra wires, camera etc etc all for around $60. You also get the added luxury of more practice/expertise with assembly.

Hey guys, I'm back while I don't have my iPhone. Now I'm trying to get this damn phone to work again. R800x if you didn't remember. Now, every time I get a new digitizer, It doesn't work. I take the old one off and put the new one in, making sure all contacts in the ribbon are connected to the flex cable connecting to the logic board. Any suggestions to get this damn screen to work again?
Or if anyone has a working, but broken digitizer they replaced, I'll take it

It may be the flex cable, the little cable which connects to the digitizer is part of the flex cable i believe.

Except the front camera works (green and fuzzy with no quality what so ever, but works). That's why I don't think it's the flex.
Just replaced it with an extra laying around. Didn't fix it...

Ah sorry, I meant the front facing camera cable, the green and fuzzy with no quality seems to affirm this. Here's a picture of it from ebay - http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Sony-Ericsson-Xperia-Play-R800-Ear-Speaker-Proximity-Sensor-Flex-Cable-Ribbon-/00/s/NzUwWDEwMDA=/$(KGrHqF,!lEE-j2UWj4YBP34C0rn4w~~60_12.GIF

yes it is : (
First off, is it the digitizer that isn't working properly, or the lcd? If it is the digitizer only, it is possible that you got a bad digitizer, that has happened to me several times with ipod screens. My suggestion would be to take it back apart and inspect the ribbon as best you can to check for small rips or nicks. make sure that nothing got into the connector receptacle or on the end of the cable. If everything looks good, reassemble and retest. If it still doesn't work properly, chalk it up to a bad digitizer and see if who you bought it from will replace it.

Hi guys,
So I replaced my LCD due to a crack, and it was my first time. I also changed the housing. The Speaker works, and the volume flex cable is in.
So the volume buttons do work.
But now, The microphone isn't working. So if I call someone, or go on voice memo, it doesn't work.
I tried Stock ROM and Android Revolution, so it's not software.
----------------------------------------------
So when I search for microphone :
-ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313&_nkw=One+X+Microphone&_sacat=0&_from=R40
I get flex cables for the upper part,
and some like this : -ebay.com/itm/Power-On-Off-Microphone-Connector-Flex-Cable-Ribbon-for-AT-T-HTC-One-X-/370817531834?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item5656727fba
Which from what I know is power flex and noise canceller.
Or : -ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Navigation-Light-Microphone-Flex-Cable-For-HTC-One-X-S720e-G23-/111019753739?pt=US_Cell_Phone_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item19d94b010b
Which is flex cable, and not microphone.
--------------------------------
I already paid a whole lot for the screen and housing, and don't really have money to spare for this phone. Life goes wrong, huh?
but if it's gonna be needed, I guess I gotta do it.
--------------------------------
What should I buy, and can I make it work with no money and just using what I have by any chance?
-------------------------------
Nothing is teared, the powerflex works perfectly. I was 100 % precise in doing everything, because I know how it gets bad with cables and all.
Also, the phone is International version, and unlocked. The mic worked before LCD replacement.
Edit 1 : The Mic makes a static noise when I try it with Google Now and Voice Memo, it's all a static noise. It sometimes produces more, and sometimes less. Can it be fixed?
Thanks for reading this, or helping in advance.
Any One?
What should I buy?

hi there,
I changed the Flex Cables ( Bought one of those $30 packages on eBay ) and it worked.
Also, there's an app called SoundAbout. That fixes it without changing any flex cables as well.
Best of luck.

Hi,
Having dismantled my HTC One X in order to replace a broken screen I discovered a broken connector. Does anyone know what it does and how it may be repaired? I've attached a couple of images showing the broken connector. It looks like it and the one next to it both connect to a single gold pad on the back plate when the phone is assembled.
Note: This is a European version. Looks slightly different to the AT&T version
Many Thanks
Roy

Don't actually know what they are for, but it might reassure you to know they are NOT your phone signal antenna (that's above and to the left), GPS antenna (that's directly above) or Wi-Fi antenna (they're on the other side of the phone by the volume rocker).
From the placement, perhaps something to do with the pogo pins on the back panel.
Hello my friend.its attached on the here(see the photo)
This is for the docking station,so its not something that will make your phone defect.you cant charge via the docking station.so you are lucky

I don't think he meant those pins, I believe he was referring to the 2 spring contacts just above the pogo interface.

Yeah that's the general opinion but I haven't been able to find concrete information.
So, OP, the general consensus is that it is the NFC antenna pins.
So OP,if everything works ok(GPS,WiFi) like its Tigerlight says NFC its the only thing that left.

Hmmmm.... Finally got my phone back together (without fixing this connector) and my g sensor isn't working. No compass, auto screen rotate or anything. Is this connector likely to be something to do with the G-Sensor. Thought I'd ask before tearing my phone apart AGAIN!!! :crying:

The G-Sensor is an IC soldered on the motherboard, it doesn't have external connectors.
