TW Launcher w/ scrolling wallpaper - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I take no credit for this. This is Shiftr182's work. It's for the Galaxy S3 but works on our phones. I didn't flash the zip I extracted the SecLauncher2.apk from it and used root explorer to replace. Works great! Use the JB one....
FYI, seems to break custom home screen when you pull out the S-pen or plug in headphones.

The short answer is yes. In theory you can use any icon on any app. The trick is putting it all together.
You have two options. You can either create a flashable theme our you could manually replace the icon file in the apk you are wanting to change it on.
The first takes time and know-how. The second requires more time and know-how but is probably easier.
But after looking at those icons I might be seeing if I can get permission to use then in a theme I've been playing around with. No promises but if it works out I'll forward it on.
So say if I want to change it in a theme..I just change them out an flash it?

You download the zip then extract with Root Explorer or similar app. Then the show in Gallery. You can generally use them for homescreen icons and such with s launcher that allows you to edit icons. I actually grabbed the same ones a few days ago and I use Nova launcher so I added some with that

I used root explorer to extract it on my sd card now when I look at it all I see is pictures ..I change them thru root explorer ?

accuweather transparent widget

Does anybody have the transparent widget that works with the ics update. I miss that... The blue color widget is horrible but the functionality is cool

here is the .apk for the semi-transparent weather widget. It's made to match the digital clock. i been using this with the stock rooted ics rom. i would show a screenshot but the i'm having trouble capturing a screenshot on a stock rom. amazing how i took that feature for granted when i had the option available in the advanced power menu in other roms.
just make sure to set the permissions to rw-,r--,r--
Almost forgot... this might go without saying for some.. but this gotta be pushed using root explorer. Don't try to install normally
my first ever custom apk... hope it works out for all
Would you happen to have the calendar version in semi-transparent ?

what i did was use root uninstaller app to remove the older one. there are 2 accuweather apps remove the one that is bigger in size. then use root explorer to drop the app in the system/app folder. reboot your phone and the app should be installed perfectly.
now simply add the new widget.:good:

[REQ] Samsung Weather apk - Accuweather

For some reason the "search" function is missing from this forum right now?
I'm looking for the stock weather widget that has been in most all Samsung Galaxy phones lately.
It wasn't on my stock SIII for some reason. Well it was installed but just "not there".
And it's not on the custom ROM I just flashed either.
Really, really like this weather widget.
I have a super old APK but would prefer a more recent one with the newer updates.
Thanks!
I am also interested in this too. I don't like stock Weather widget that came with Galaxy SIII. I like the one that is on Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note where it shows you current weather condition plus forecast for next 4 days. I don't know why Samsung got rid of it on Galaxy SIII.

Try downloading a custom TWiz ROM or the stock one and pulling the APK. Push it to your system apps and reboot. I hope that works for you

I had trouble figuring out how to pull an apk from the tar.md5 stock ROM.
But I ended up having to restore to the original ROM via odin.
So I took the opportunity to root & do a titanium backup of the Accuweather app.
I then extracted the .apk.gz and copied the .apk to /data/apps, but the Accuweather app doesn't come up in my installed programs or widgets list.
Also tried installing directly from the .apk but it said it could not install.
Here you go: http://cl.ly/292X2A283Y3a410y3Q35
Just extract to /system/apps and verify permissions.

If you're on the stock odexed from, you'll need the .odex files. I believe you also need both .apk files, accuweather and also accuweather_main.
I'm on DietICS.
My stock ROM had Accuweather working.
Couldn't manage to get it from that ROM to DietICS though.
Whether by TitaniumBackup or from copying the three .apk's from /system/app of stock ROM to /system/app of DietICS.

LG Intuition Charging LW

Please note, this is not my port. I was just playing around on my N7, and gave it a try and this one worked perfectly fine.
Move to ChargingWallpaperPicker.apk to System folder, give the right permissions and then install other two as normal apk.
it did not let me attach the file here because of its size, so I copied to my dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4coia9at9il3rwq/4ttb80Bx1X
So where exactly did this come from? Is it pulled straight from an LG ROM? If not, where did it come from?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Kinda cool. The Main app crashes on me when I select a LWP but still works when I plug it in.
What this does is changes your wallpaper to one of the 2 included in the zip (Bubbles and Fireflies) when you plug the device in. The LWP reads your battery juice and the LWP displays that via a more/less bubbles/fireflies.
Nice little tweak. I'd like to see some new development on the LWPs.
The LWP changes back to your original wallpaper when unplugged.
There are 3 apks in the zip. Copy the main one to /system/app and change permissions to match others. The LWPs can just be installed normally.

yeah it is like ASUS water LWP. I am not sure why it crashes (maybe some other lib files it needed), but like you said, it works when charging, which is nice.

Way to make different 3G icon?

I am running stock rooted GB27 with the all in one mod and I was wondering if anyone could give me a tutorial on how to make or port a different 3G icon?

-Copy systemui.apk which is in system/app folder to a computer and open it with winrar.
-Go to res/drawable-hdpi folder and look for the 3g icon PNG. There could be more than one.
-Replace the existing one with another PNG of equal dimensions. Use store compression method in winrar.
-Copy systemui.apk back to the phone to its original path using root explorer and set correct permissions.
- Reboot.

Yes
And about creating a new 3g icon. Use gimp or Photoshop and create a transparent background PNG of same dimensions as the one in ypur systemui.apk to start with and make your icon. The replace it with the stock one.
