If you are able to on UKB, then you should. This rom is uses it as base.

Absolutely love this thing....but I can't get 3G at all.

Ok.. I'm on CDMA with Big Red.. I have great signal strength but no data, no 3g ... try to connect to the web or playstore and wifi setup opens... and this ROM is SMOOOOOOTH!!!!!!!! Logcat at all helpful? Also, error when downloading apps from the market.. Trying to install aLogcat (free) and it tells me that there was an error in processing the purchase... may be specific to that app.. everything else seems ok with market app installs..

That error happens a lot, clear cache then clear data on play store, the clear data on google services I believe, then reboot, should be good to download from play store then.

Hey 72ls1. Is it possible to use the jb camera instead of the ics camera on this Rom? I believe jb camera is way better. Pictures come out crisp!

TW UX Launcher/Theme?

I'm wondering if there are any TW Launchers or themes out there that I can install for CM10 based roms, I like the homescreen transition and app drawer on the TW. Anyone know of any?

I don't know how to post links, but I just came to the s3 from the s2 skyrocket. If you go into the apps in the skyrocket forums, you will find a post for the tw launcher. I used it on codename when I first got my s3 and it worked great.

[Q] I've got GB08 rooted, Can I get the ICS keyboard back?

I'm wondering. I've got the ko's stock GB08 rooted rom and I'm loving it except the swipe keyboard, can I keep everything the same but keep my ICS FL24 style keyboard? the swipe was way more accurate for me on that compared to this. Not sure if it's due to the keys being spread out more or what but I'm not liking it. Like the voice to text more in GB08 though, way smoother and stays open as it reacts so you can proof read in real time..

Which keyboard are you using, Samsung or swype?
In any event, it should be possible to pull the apk from fl24 and push it to system/app. Please keep in mind I'm not guaranteeing it will work, but in theory it should be compatible.
Don't forget third party apps as well, there ate hundreds of them. I myself prefer SlideIT:thumbup::beer:

I think they might have swype coded to check the phone model and os version for each kind out there. I've seen it refuse to install before.

I'm using what ever came on the stock fl24 keyboard. ..
I have too, it's why I asked... I have a full titanium backup, where might the apk be for the fl24 stock rom keyboard?

You can probably pull the keyboard from an ICS ROM, push it to /system/app and set permissions to rw-r--r-- (0644) then reboot.

You could always head over to the Swype website and install the latest Swype beta.
I just did that a couple minutes ago and it works great!

New ROM Coming Soon! Need Your Input! Its All About The Users!

Hey guys! I plan on developing a new ROM coming up in the next week or so. This ROM will not be like any ordinary ROM. My goal in development has been to meet everybody's needs on a ROM. I take advice and suggestions from the people who will be using it the most. So to start things off i need to know the following from you guys:
1. TouchWiz or CM10.1 Based?
2. What Kind Of Theming?
3. Audio Mods? (I have permission for AwesomeBeats)
4. Performance Mods?
or pretty much anything else you want added. Please post below on what you want to see added! NOBODY is ignored and all options will be considered! I want to make a ROM that pleases a lot of people, although i know its hard to please everybody.
Let me know guys!
P.S. I need some good names for the ROM as well

I have a request pending for AC!D and Viper was actually going to be incorporated into Super Jelly (My current ROM).

TouchWiz themed in blue would be awesome.
Edit: I just prefer TouchWiz. Others prefer something else. To each their own. Nuff said.

I love that idea! It will be a tough process but it can happen! So it will be an AOSP ROM with an S4 theme to it. Any other suggestions?

4. Can't think of any Performance Mod, but am hoping all GAPPS included like Gmail, Earth, Maps with voice commands, Google+, Google Hangouts.

Make a Touchwiz/AOSP hybrid rom (using a Touchwiz base, of course. Lol) with several apps from AOSP, like the dialer, contacts, MMS, camera, gallery, etc. Not many devs have made hybrid roms using actual AOSP apps.

1. I would like a rom with wifi calling with 4.2 or 4.3 features like look screen lock screen widgets.
2. in between touchwiz and cm?

I love the features TW offers. I really loved a TW rom with AOSP theme. Awesome.
Beats for sound.
I have been using stock TW with Faux123 kernal and have noticed amazing snappiness and response. There are tiny things that I would like improved on:
1. messaging app - is there any way to get the quick reply feature in touchwiz messaging? If not, AOSP messaging seems to be more useful than the TW app.
2. My GS3 had an option to disable the screen turning on when a message arrived but it looks like this feature is not in stock note 2. This would be nice.
3. The loudness mod is great to increase volume, but this can be easily fixed with xposed module
Really TW works great. I'd just love little improvements and changes.

Well I had a ROM that ran on the MB4 base that had an AOSP theme. I discontinued it because of the bugs coming along with it. I will probably bring back another one for you guys! I decided to make 2 new ROMs:

Tw rom that is themed is all I got. Loved your aosp rom tweaks you put in. I'm currently running Goodness Noteworthy rom that is now unsupported and I love it. It had all the theme trimmings I love but with no future updates I'm screwed. Lol. Go big brother.

Looking to flash my first custom rom, just wondering which ones everybody is using. I'm leaning heavily towards Jedi Elite KK, but also curious about VisionX and Wicked. So who's using what and what do you like about it?

For TW roms nothing beats Tweaked. Kk edition coming real real soon.

probably should have mentioned that I already have the 4.4.2 bootloader, so no 4.3 based roms are possible at this point for me

I really enjoy the x-note experience.

Slimkat V13 Oldtree, it runs great no crash's or FC except USB tethering but that's all iv found. For my all others have more bugs here and there. BTW I really like AOSP ROMs so don't know much about the TW ROMs

Trying to stay TW because I use WiFi Calling enough that I want to keep it, and I use my S-Pen quite a bit. I know there are workarounds for the S-Pen, but WiFI Calling only works on Touch Wiz (as far as I know). Also I use NFC quite a lot and I've read that isn't working on AOSP yet.

I also really like stock android but with that you kinda lose spent and mutitask. But for spen what I did is use CM Spen addon and spent helper from the app store. Set it to when I pull out the pen it opens Papyrus app for quick notes that's really all I use the spen for but you can make a pop out bar with a list of apps show up when you pull out the spen. Now multitasking you could try something like Halo but I think that's as good as it gets for now.
