One Click Tether... - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

One Click Tether works on the Note 2 to enable tethering without a dedicated tethering plan. I tried several apps, including wifi tether and barnacle, but One Click is the only one that worked. Too bad you can't change the name of the hotspotor password protect unless you pay for the pro version.

Foxfi works great too....

The LiDroid 15 toggle also unlocks it from the quick panel. It's available in the dev section or I have it in my theme as well...

smh ics roms doesn't have that. I don't think it is found in any custom roms lol
NONE. Tmobile is fully aware of the work arounds that people were doing in the past. They now monitor the data on their side and you will have to pay for it.
Tethering is FREE with a 5gig or larger plan now.

Automatic turning om shared internet for my Nexus 7

Tasker : I have S3 and Nexus 7. I was thinking maybe I could use the NFC and tasker to easy/automatic set up shared internet on the s3 when I bump the devices together. Any thoughts?

Are you asking , can you turn on the wireless hotspot , by touching the devices together using nfc?
Sent from Pluto
Download wireless tether for root, then set the device profile to Samsung galaxy sIII and hit tether. I tether to my Asus transformer prime when I'm at school.

I don't think it's possible by itself.... But in theory you could get tectiles and attach one to your nexus 7, program it to turn the hotspot on.

I was considering that. I have ordered them and was thinking maybe I could place one on the inside of a case for the Nexus so IT wont be visible.

If you want to play you gotta pay, either root or add the tethering package.

I have the unlimited 4g plan and It's cause I don't access to a pc to root and if something went wrong, I wouldn't be able to fix it with just my phone.

Foxfi tether, no root needed. It supports note 2.

Wi-Fi tethering?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times.
I have the $70 T-Mobile unlimited plan. Now if I root my note 2, can I use an aftermarket tethering app, to take advantage of that true unlimited plan, without any grief from T-Mobile?

You should be able to. But I'm not on the $70 plan. I have a family plan from like 5 years ago & me tethering works fine. Just if the up sell comes up use a different user agent.

Well I suppose I'll have to give it a try when I get home. Is there a good way to root these days considering Knox? I don't necessarily want a custom Rom though.

I have a family member that just recently updated their phone to a note 2 on T-Mobile and said they are able to tether without paying extra for tethering. I got the note 2 on T-Mobile the day it came out and back then I still had to pay for tethering so I just rooted and installed a rom in which I can tethering for free. I use tethering every day without having to install a tethering app.
Thank you, haven't gotten around to rooting yet, but hopefully it'll work out.

Which Rom would be best for using my own tether without tmobile seeing? I'm already rooted now. Unlimited plan still. Also which tether app would be best?

I have been searching and searching. The treve mod, the mod after that. One that seems it's just for Sprint. I have no clue which freaking one is current and working on tmobile. I need Wi-Fi tether

It worked on all the stock 4.1.x rooted roms. I am sticking with Tweaked for a while until the kinks are worked out of the 4.3 stuff. I'm patient like that. I know it didn't work on my wife's S3 running 4.3.
