What's the best 32gb SD card yo get for the note2? I'm thinking if buying a sandisk mobile ultra micro SD card, Its read speed is UHS speed class 1. Is it a great SD ?

Edit: wake up long afternoon.
UHS 1 is a new standard that is basically the equivalent of Class 10. Will do ya fine.

My Note II is super happy with the Samsung Class 10 32GB I have in there.
Had the SDCard in my last phone, but it seems really "at home" in the Sammy
Is there a noticeable benefit of a class 10 card over a class 6 one on this phablet?

If your not switching your sdcard with your internal one then I doubt you will notice a difference between the 6 and 10 since all apps are stored on the phone.

There is an extremely noticeable difference if you are copying files from your computer. I am always copying a lot of video to and from my card and a 66% increase in write speed saves me a lot of time.

im using a sandisk ultra 64gb sdxc class 10($50) reformatted to fat 32(for TWRP) in 1 note2 and a sandisk 32gb class 2($20) in the other and the write speed when copying videos from my PC is virtually identical......(fast)...is this due to the reformatting?

Thanks!
Absolutely...before you move anything to the new card format it in the phone.

Yep, formatting on computer is fine, preferred actually, then you can see that it actually works.

Stock is somewhere around a class 6 I think... it may vary though. Mine was class 6...
Right now I'm running a 32GB Class 2, it runs great! Not even slow, honestly. It's a SanDisk. Don't be tempted by the cheap Kingston 32GB cards. They're scammy ****. I got one, luckily it was through a reasonable seller who refunded me.If you go for a 32GB, I recommend SanDisk. Buy it through Amazon, it should be about 80 USD.

I would think the stock card would be class 2. But mine didn't come with one. I had to buy one seperate when I bought it. I have a 8GB SanDisk class 2. And its plenty fast. Best to use a SD card reader for the best speed.
I just bought a new SD card for my camera (Canon T3i) and went with a 16GB SanDisk Class 4, and it can handle full 1080P video without filling the camera buffer at all. The class is actually the minimum speed it will write at. The Max is usually much higher. At least with the good cards.

Yeah, my stock 2Gb was a Class 2.
If the card isn't marked, it's a Class 2 card.
Class 4 is generally the slowest you want for decent HD video recording & playback if you do that.
Anyway, I'll check out the SanDisk 32Gb Class 4 and up cards on Amazon, I've been leary about the online MicroSD cards because I've heard about the Chineese fakes too. I heard that A-Data makes a good MicroSD card, what's your thoughts on them?
Is Patriot another cheapo like Kingston?
Thanks!
How do I find out what class the stock SD card is (For the epic)? I'm wanting to compare it with the Evo 3D's SD card.
The stock is 16gb class 4 HC. It's right on the card itself.

Try to find ones that labeled UHS-1 (or UHS-I). If you want use torrents or others extremely high IO operations buy only ones with >40MB read/write specification (actual speed will be lower), otherwise stick with those with >20MB read/write.
ADATA has UHS-1 series 45MB Read/Write
SanDisk has UHS-1 "Mobile Ultra" 20MB Read/Write and UHS-1 "Extreme" 90MB Read/Write
List of course is incomplete, and all of UHS-1 labeled card also have Class10 label (because there is no higher Class)
Other that SanDisk "Mobile Ultra" will be expensive at 64GB and hard to find..
I've read somewhere Samsung micro SD 64gb is slightly faster than Sandisk one by a few mb/s transfer speed.
Ty for your answers peep.

I recently bought a 'SanDisk microSDXC Ultra Class 10 64 GB' and am very happy with it. I even managed to watch a 1080p movie with lossless DTS sound with it recently without even the slightest problem.
I also went with the Sandisk 64gb one, I formatted it in exfat with windows 7 and its been great for movies.

Sandisk.
i picked up a samsung 64gb
too many issues with sandisk for my blood.
Stay away from SanDisk. They make good cards, but for some reason the GN2 just hates all classes of 32GB from them. I'd recommend the Samsung. They cost a little more but I've not heard of any issues with them.
Swyped from the closest Galaxy.

You already paid Samung for the phone, what's a few more dollars their way. I personally trust the Samsung brand even though Sandisk is just as amazing. Also, good luck on not getting a fake through eBay. Even if the seller looks legit, be weary.

Samsung cards have a bad habbit of write speeds of 6mbps on class 10 cards
My sandisc 64gb u1 writes at 30mbps
Also beware of ebay cards, I suggest a major online retailer so you dont get a hacked size card.

No issues with 64 gig other than the exfat 32 requirement with some Kernels. Does create some "envy" with some roms!
I'm using 64GB SanDisk SDXC. No problems across multiple phones, Note, GS3, G1, Note 2, GS2. Best bet is to not shop eBay for memory products and go with www.newegg.com
If you don't have an amazon card ans sign up for one they will give you a $30 credit. I used one on their 64gb sdxc directly from sandisk and payed like $32 total. Called the day after I received the CC and cancelled it with no penalties.

Post a screen shot of the write test from your phone .
I currently have an old 6gb SanDisk sdcard I got a few years ago which works well for me.
Although I've been wanting to upgrade to a 32 or 64gb sdcard. I've noticed people having issues with sdcards like the phone won't recognize or it unmounts rapidly.
I was wondering what you guys use that's most stable for you. Do you guys use SanDisk, Samsung, etc memory cards? Post model or anything that works.
Thanks in advance.
