[Q] Issues with capacitive buttons FI27 - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with the capacitive buttons on the E4GT? I just got a new device and am currently running FI27 stock rooted. The problem I'm having is that my capacitive buttons seem to just stop working for a few seconds and then light up and start working again.
Thanks,
FallenSB

Yup happens to me on any rom I'm on, usually a lock and unlock fix it, so it's not to bothersome for me.

[Q] Hardware - Soft keys do not work

My Evo (rooted, stock rom) just recently started acting weird. The permanent soft keys (home, menu, back, seach) stopped responding to touch intermittently. I tried going back to a previous nandroid but no go. the back lights do light up but do not respond to touch. Right now, though, they seem to be working properly
Is there a connection loose inside the phone? Has anyone come across/solved this?

[Q] Sleep Issue with BlackJelly Rom V. 08 LIH

Hi guys.
Recently I saw a recommendation to get the Blackjelly ROM V. 08 LIH so I flashed it on my phone and it's been working great. However I am noticing one particular problem with this ROM and need help with fixing the issue.
Occasionally when I lock the phone via the power button, the menu button and back button both light up but the screen doesn't. It's almost like it doesn't want to wake up from sleep except that the phone is functioning in the background. This has happened when I've received a text message while the phone was locked and I couldn't see what my message said because the screen wasn't turning on.
The temporary solution I've found with this has been to hard reset the phone by holding down the home button until the menu and back buttons turn off.
Then turning back on.
I don't want to have to keep doing this if the phone is acting up but I also don't know if this is a ROM-based issue or something else I'm not aware of. Please help? Thanks in advance.

[Q] Irresponsive capacitive buttons

So i just bought a new screen and put it. There was only one connector so that seemed simple enough. However, none of the capacitive buttons work now. The rest of the screen works just fine, has any1 ran into this problem before? any ideas on things to try?
Thanks.

[Q] Blank screen but phone works?

So I just got my galaxy s3 friday, and I recently rooted it and I have the Jellybean747 Graystone ROM on it. I don't know if this is a ROM-specific issue, or just a device problem.. I searched the forums and Google and couldn't find anyone else with the problem.
Randomly, my phone screen will go black, and the buttons light up, but the phone works. I can lock my phone and hear sounds from it, like the water sound from the lock screen when you touch it. Even the LED is working. But the buttons won't turn off. Even when it's locked and I wait past my button-timeout time. After some time, it will go unresponsive and not make any noise, but the buttons will still be lit up. The only way for me to shut it off is to take out the battery or hold the power button.
When I restart the phone, it works fine, like nothing ever happened.
This has only happened to me twice, once after I hung up from a call and once after I locked my phone after I sent a text.

I've been having the same issue. I'm not sure if my phone is the problem or the ROM that I am using. I even switched roms and i still get the same problem. I have no idea what causes it but usually I'll be on the phone and when i try to hang up the screen stays black but the hardware keys are still lit up and i can touch the screen and it vibrates. Sometimes it just happens when i unlock my phone and check something and then lock it. I try to unlock it with my home button and power button and the screen stays black with the hardware keys lit up and i can even slide across my lockscreen since it vibrates. When i lock my screen and turn it on again it works normally. I was running paranoidkangdroid and currently i'm running pacman rom the 1/22 version with the stock kernel.
I too just started having this issue. Was running Quantum 3.56. I think it may have started happening after an update, but now after installing an older version I still have this problem. Hopefully someone can find a fix.

Screen wake problem with sense 5.5

Hey guys, wanted to ask if anyone else had this problem. I searched and found only 1 person that also reported the problem but it was never answered. I tried the ecliptic and nusense roms and had the same issue on both. From a clean install and boot, the screen will not wake fully after pressing the lock button. The soft keys light up and i can hear volume sound changing if i press the vol buttons but the screen won't turn on unless i rapidly press the lock button on top. Happened on both those roms but wasn't occurring on the stock and 4.4 tiktak rom. Anyone have any insight into any this is happening or if anyone has had the same problem?
Kernel source is the problem...or lack there of. When we get the kernels working for 4.3 it should go away. Unless one of the devs says otherwise...
