[Q] Flashing Error - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hi so I tried flashing the new PACman all in one rom today, and usually I don't have problems with flashing roms but I had an error today.
This is what it said on my CWM:
-- Installing: /emmc/Download/hercules_PAC_jb-al
pha-v18.0.0.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "

-T989" | | getprop("ro.product.device") ==
"hercules" | | getprop("ro.build.product") == "h
ercules"
E:Error in /emmc/Download/hercules_PAC_bj-alhpa-
v18.0.0.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I'm quite new to all this so if anyone knows how to fix this please reply with steps asap! Thank you!

It may just be that you had a bad download. Try downloading the ROM again, maybe with a different browser.
Sent from my beastly Galaxy S 2.

[Q] cant flash AOSP (error in CWM)[solved][now with fix]

ok i have tried this on AOKP build 40 CM9 alpha6 and paranoid android v1.5(new) and 1.6 and i always get the same error.... please help
error:

the last two getprop is from your current build.prop
the first two are from your new build.prop
the must match to flash
What was your fix for this? I have been trying to figure this out for days. I have the Boost Mobile flavor of this device. Its the same hardware... Currently running FI22 (real/stock OTA) with AGAT FK23's repack. I have tried the EL26 CWM5 as well, both give identical errors.

I need help please.

I'm sorry if the answer to this was posted somewhere else. But I wasn't able to find any info about this.
When I try to flash cyanogenmod 9 or 10 on my sgh-i747m, I get an error .....

I've never experienced this before, and I'm not sure what this error means.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you flash the kernel in the ROM zip?

Nope, I'll try that and see if it helps.

for my understanding, does an "assert failed" error mean that the script was looking for one of any of the property values (ie I747UCDMG2), didn't find it, and then failed?

Yes it was looking for "I747UCDMG2" and down but failed to find the proper bootloader on your phone. The status 7 error can easily be fixed. just google it.
If you are installing via CWM make sure it's up to date (easy way is to install Rom Manager from the playstore) also why not install the latest version of CM?
get.cm/?device=d2att
Make sure you do a factory wipe/reset and clear cache/daelik

because i'm following this wiki exactly, and it's not working exactly.
removing the asserts hasn't fixed the problem. first i got status 6, and when i did it a second time, repackaging the files with 7zip into zip format, i got no error at all, the installation just failed and aborted.
