I flashed it without wiping data with no problems. just do it, it works

Yup I recently realized I could do that smh... previously on other phones it always forced a wipe if I recall when you first did a new rom

Alright first topic from me.
After I updated my stock T989 to ics, I proceeded to root it according to the gb root procedures.
Was checking out various stuff when titanium backup pro tells me that I have 7mb left of 612mb system rom.
Is there anyway to free any of that up, or would I be wasting my time because it doesn't really matter?

TMobile bloat their ROM with these crappy apps
Only way to get more memory is to delete those .
Or you can go with custom ROM which I'm using now

Hey, im kinda new to flashing and rooting. I did manage to root my T999V and i want to flash frosty jb but have no idea how. The instructions on the thread for it are kind of unclear for me so can someone please give me a really easy way of doing this?

Read both of the stickies in this forum. Answers should be there.

Ok thanks, that cleared up alot of questions. One more thing though, what is dalvik?
Sent from my SGH-T999V using xda app-developers app
Also, after i flash frosty jb, and then the official ota comes out, how do i get it?

Youll find a better definition if you google it, but basically all your apps run in a virtual machine type environment called the dalvik vm.
dalvik cache is where the apps code is stored and used by the vm.

To use the ota patch you'd have odin back to stock LH2. But if you're gonna do that just Odin the LJ4 fw.

I didn't see this type of mod anywhere else on our forums so i thought I'd share it.
As a note I did not create it so I am in no way taking credit for anything other than using Google. All credit goes to kest874
With that said: This works for our phone!

I flashed the file through twrp without any issues. If you have problems try using. cwm.

Must be a deodexed rom as well. I'm running stock, rooted, deodexed without any issues. Let me know your setup and the process you used to flash. Then I'll try to figure out what went wrong.

Is this just a mod for the actual appearance of the tab...or will we lose the modded multi window function for all the apps? If you get what I mean...
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
I have not lost anything. I'm using the all apps mod and still have post flash. The only impact is on the background.

Is known that older versions of twrp didn't work worth some of the binaries. The current 2.3.1.4 worked for me. If it continues try cwm.

Working on Why Not 1.0
I can confirm that this is working on my t0ltespr on Why Not 1.0
I had to upgrade my recovery to the new TWRP 2.3.2.3. It wouldn't flash the new recovery through Goo Manager, so I downloaded it manually from here:
http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/t0ltespr
Flashed the new recovery and then the MultiWindowTheme.zip

I have to dig around for the app but I know I saved it just in case...
Actrully found it I used a app called framaroot.

Interesting. It's worth a shot OP. Worst case, it fails and you uninstall. If it is successful, you can install mobile odin, then get the latest gb27 tar, and money. While you're at it, you will have to flash a cwm custom jb kernel, since you're on ics, and, MO won't flash modems, you'll need a jb modem to use data on gb27. Download the zip though of the modem . Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Hopefully it works for you. I don't see why it wouldn't. Might be more complicated but it worked for me. but of course YMMV. Just follow what jdsingle76 said you you'll be good to go.

Philz recovery will backup and restore touchwiz 4.3 properly. Make sure that you use 6.07.09 version the latest 6.12.xx requires a new binary and script changes to install most roms.
