Can someone please tell me where the apn list is held when viewing a rom in WINRAR? I need to extract it from the stock rom (rooted) and input it to FroyoSense.
I have ran searches but cant find anything named 3g or apn.
found it...
If you could let everyone know where you found it that would be great.
It wont work as is, you need to edit it.
You need to change <apns version="6"> to <apns version="8">
This was posted in the FroyoSense (OpenDesire) thread.
The file your looking for is /system/etc/apns-conf.xml
Thanks for your input. I am trying to create my own update.zip that will push my BT apn settings to my phone as they are not included in any of the updates so far and I am using the latest FroyoSense Rom V1.0c.
Can someone please take a look at me file and tell me where I am going wrong? Cause it aint working yet it looks identical to others I have seen.
Any help appreciated.
A couple of days ago I saw a thread in the development section that had a flashable zip in order to fix the mms of different carriers, but I tried looking for it again today and it is no where to be found. Can someone help me in order to find that thread or fix the mms of a metropcs flashed e4gt running ics. Thank you
In my experience you shouldn't have to flash at all.

Edit > input your MSL
then change the MMSC URL to
Code:
http://mms.metropcs.net

Found a solution
You have to manualy delete default apn's even though they are correct configured.

Hello,
I'm facing the same problem with the CM11 nightly on my galaxy S2. The only difference is that it shows always the error message on the screen, not only when I try to send MMS.
After deleting all the APNs, what did you do to set them back? Did you set it/them manually?
Bye
Find you own carrier settings for MMS Contact them..

hey Guys, trying to run adblock plus here since we dont have root yet,
Anyone figured out a way to edit APN at all?
I cant delete apn to build a new one or edit existing.
All i need to do is add proxy localhost on port 2020..
Bumparoo! anyone figured out how to either adblock nonroot or edit APN settings?>
Do we just have to add an entirely new APN with the CORRECT settings or is there more to it such as editing the apns.xml file with SQLite? Any help or assistance in the right direction much appreciated.
are you fully stock?
