Does any one using MAGICSIM dual adapter in T989?
I use MAGICSIM in T989 and switching between TELUS(Canada) and T-Mobile(US). Adapter is working but I have to reboot(there are option to reboot or not reboot when switching networks. I have to choose reboot.) every time when I switch between networks. If i try to switch without reboot - from T-Mobile to TELUS it will switch without problem, when I try to switch from TELUS to T-Mobile switching application crashing and I have to reboot to bring it back. On my old Galaxy S(T959). It was working without reboot. Just wondering if anyone experiencing same or using same MAGICSIM adapter... Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks,

Is the adapter a recent version? I ran one in my ATT GS and I think the GS2 with no problems but it wasn't nearly as neat as I thought it would be so I stopped using it. My issue was the ATT phone with a TMO sim was painfully slow. I am guessing TELUS and TMO use the same bands for high speed data?
I have new sim cards now so I cant try it without trimming them again. But if you are having issues I would check into what version you have. Seems like they update every year if not sooner?

Hi Guys,
I'm running 2.2 froyo DJ Droid,
Everything was great till today morning when i go off the train and my phone lost the network, Limited service only!! I tried factory rest, apn settings again, switching between hsdpa and gsm only, nothing!!!
It's a sim free phone, running three UK
have you tried re-seating your sim?
Call three.
There may be issues in your area.
You should do this before you start troubleshooting yourself. Its much more likely that they broke something than you.
When this happened to me, it turned out to be a faulty sim card.
Try your sim in another phone?

Hi to all, I just receive a N7100. Everything is working fine is factory unlocked but when I insert the SIM card from (CUBACEL) the WIFI stops working. How can I solve that? Thanx in advance
Try another sim
Best regards
Sifou
Using a Samsung N7100
I have been using that SIM card on iPhones of all generations, Samsungs of many kinds, Xperias, you name it. Never got any issue but ok I´ll try just to make sure...And no, same problem with diferent SIM (from the same company though)
Funny thing I tried with one from Orange and WIFI is working ok. Anyone knows what is causing this?
This **** happen sometimes, but i don't remember what causing it, whether it's the radio firmware or something else
Try to read in other forums like the S3, this problem is well known and you may get an answer.
If you do have an update, do it.
Best regards

There is a wifi issue forum.
I am not sure if it's related to your problem but have a look.

same problem with wifi on cubacel sim card
I also have the same problem with no wifi after inserted cubacel sim card.
I had tried to my first SGH-I317 (from Canada) and the 2nd SGH-T 889 (from T-mobile US). both even cannot scan any wifi after I inserted cubacel. But after I insert an UK number and reset the phone, it works fine. the redicilous this is, after I change again with cubacel sim card, the wifi signal suddently dissapear.
I also have a lenovo android phone that I bought in Indonesia, it works fine with wifi on cubacel simcard.
Something wierd in this case..
I hope anyone have solution

Hey newmucha,
Here is a xda-developers thread that gives you a possible solution to your problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21406675
I installed the app, turned off wifi power saving mode in *#0011# and after that never had the same problem again. It seems that certain providers, CUBACEL in my case, have their SIM cards country code wrongly configured and this causes the wifi to crash.
Hope this helps!
Hi i have the same issue of wifi not working on local sim (Pakistan) and this software Wififix manager works on ICS only... I have At&t HTC ONE X + does anyone have any idea which software to use on JB 4.1.1? BTW i m rooted and using ViperXL 2.0.0 Rom.
Hi there,
I recently sent my phone back to HTC because my volume button was stuck, which resulted in it not being able to boot (as it always went straight to recovery). They repaired it, and after three weeks without my phone I know received it back. They 'replaced parts and did a software update.'
Problem is, now I have no mobile network connection. The phone recognises the SIM fine, but no signal and search networks results in "Error while searching for networks."
I'm blaming the software update HTC did, so I send them another email. The thing is, I don't want to send it back AGAIN, I had the phone a full 2 weeks before it broke and haven't been able to use it since. Is there anything you guys can think of that doesn't involve rooting it and losing my warranty (which I will probably need now)?
Thanks a bunch
Hello,
have you tried to switch between the network mode; only WCDMA or only GSM? (Settings->Mobile Network->Network Mode)

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have, no effect. One other weird thing I have noticed since first posting: at the about -> Phone Identity screen, the phone number does not match my actual sim phone number. It reads the SIM fine though, as all my SIM contacts are available.
Could you use/try another SIM Card to check its work with a different one?
Is WiFi working? Any interruptions druing a regular call?

Regular call is impossible, as I have no cellular network at all. Wifi works fine. I am currently unable to try another SIM, as I'd have to cut a microsim out of a regular one and people around don't want to have their card cut up.
The sim works fine in my old nokia though, so I don't think that's the issue.
I'll try to find a friend with an iPhone 4 to try their microsim, but I'm not really counting on it.
Hello,
I recently got a Telus S3 that I unlocked, rooted and installed CM 10.1 RC5 (d2att) but am having network difficulties with a fido micro sim card.
Occasionally I completely lose network reception in urban areas and get a "network error" diagnosis from my phone, I would be disconnected from my cellular network for a period of time ranging from a minute to 5 minutes.
I've tried my micro sim on another phone and that does not seem to be the problem; I've inserted a rogers micro sim into my S3 and it also did not appear to have any problems with the network.
One last thing I tried is to restore to a previous nandroid backup of a stock unrooted rom and so far it seems to have solved it.
I really like running CM 10.1 and aside from the problem that essentially renders my phone inert, is there a way to fix this in CM10.1 itself?
Thanks
I personally have no issues at all with that but i am on a different network which is ATT. How did you flash the ROM? Did you flash clean or dirty? That can make a difference. Then lastly, have you checked your apns phone under network part of settings.

I did further research and found out that there is a problem in CM10.1 where the change from 3G to 4G causes disconnections. I disabled LTE and the network is stable now.
Thanks for replying!
brought a cheap adapter from ebay(copy of a magic sim i think) itworks on my very old eclair phone(even thought not suppose to) but when i insert it into my unlocked kestrel it defaults to sim 2 but doesnt install software to swtich it. if i take out sim 2, sim1 works fine so it isnt a connection issue.
tried a few multisim appsfrom playstore which dont work!
was wondering if emotion ui was stopping it installing as theres no app draw.
i have no idea how to switch to 007 mode either:s
any help would be appriated thanks
