[GAPPS] 4.0.3 OTA rip safer to flash

There was a link to the gapps ripped form a nexus s 4.0.3 ota that would replace:
/system/lib/libspeexresampler.so
/system/vendor/firmware/libpn544_fw.so
I've renamed the 2 libs to:
/system/lib/FROMNEXUS_libspeexresampler.so_BACKUP
/system/vendor/firmware/FROMNEXUS_libpn544_fw.so_BACKUP
I've created a new gapps that is safer to flash on the gnexus http://tinyw.in/w8Lg
So this ZIP can be flashed/merged to your 4.0.3 ROM as it is? We don't just have to pull the apps from it?

Awesome, will give it a go now
DO you also recommend them for CM9 based builds?
(Insted of the gapps from Koush or http://goo-inside.me/gapps)
the cm 9 builds seem to be based off 4.0.1 currently. i would continue to use koush's initial rip
link is not working for me?

Note: There are two MIUI builds available for our Gnex
1) Official MIUI builds &
2) Official MIUI-Android (serving International Unofficial MIUI ROM Support since 2010).
Both are updated regularly on Fridays, There is not much difference in two builds.
Official Downloads:
Official MIUI Builds
Here
Official MIUI-Android builds:
ROM:3.11.29
Gapps:4.2.2-only 11mb
Instructions:
1) Put ROM and GAPPS on internal SD.
2) Reboot into recovery(CWM or TWRP or Phillz)
3)wipe data/cache
4)wipe dalvik cache
5)format/system
6)install ROM
7) reboot system it is must,Do NOT flash ROM and GAPPS back to back! It will cause Home button not working..!
(Also If you are gonna use Mpokang 1080p kernel then flash the zip just after this step i.e.after flashing ROM without rebooting)
8)Again reboot into recovery
9)Flash gapps
10)Reboot system
11)flash custom kernel(Do not stay on stock MIUI kernel its buggy)
Supported Kernels:
1. Mpokang Kernel only v10 1080p variant is compatible with MIUI.
2. Trinity Kernel use the version for 4.2.2 and your desired config.
3. Try this one also Fancy MIUI,thanks Fast-droid for suggestion.
I recommend you to use Mpokang because it can be configured through Trickster MOD App and also it is battery friendly and stable.

How's the battery life? Much drains?
Thanks!
So far no problems what so ever.
Battery life is way better and antutu score 10500 vs 11500 [purity/franco].
Can you change the lockscreen shortcuts in miui? Can't find it. :good:

on which kernel you are??
the lags are mostly because of kernels

As per MIUI Android community,
there will be no daily or weekly update in this week as there in China they are having national holiday,
the weekly update will resume from 11th October....
till that the last 3.9.27 is stable enough for daily use.

What is ROM you are using now? No, gapps is the project of CyanogenMod team, they (apps) are not uploaded to Google Play. Instead they (CyanogenMod team) have a repository to upload an updated gapps.
i have CM10 final version installed from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1990795
and the gapps version there is gapps-jb-20121011-signed
in the cm10.2 thread there is gapps-jb-4.3-20131116-signed
probably they sotpped updating the CM10 thread so no newer gapps will be posted there.
is it ok to use the newer file on CM10?
Gapps should be flashed together or after a new ROM is installed in pristined way, atleast according to arsradu.
Edit: And gapps in 4.3 are somewhat different from 4.2/4.1.

[Q] How to Flash Paranoid Android 5.1 on HTC One (M8) and Review on latest Build?

Hey Guys,
I'm currently on the latest CM 12 Snapshot ( cm-12-20150625-SNAPSHOT-YNG4NAO09N-m8) and I'm thinking about giving Paranoid Android a try. I already downloaded the latest stable version of the ROM (Build Date: 2015-07-04). But i couldn't find any instructions on how to flash it.
So does anyone know how to do it? Since I'm pretty sure I have to flash GApps separately I would also like to know which version I should flash.
Besides that, has anyone already used this version of PA and has experienced any issues with this release?
I'm not an AOSP user on this device. But PA has their own gapps packages: http://forum.xda-developers.com/paranoid-android/general/5-1-x-5-0-x-4-4-x-pa-gapps-mirror-t3069879
In general, to flash any AOSP ROM:
1) Backup as you see fit
2) Wipe using the default wipe option in TWRP
3) Flash PA
4) Flash gapps
5) Reboot and setup
6) Beer
