[Q]Group Cast

Coming from the other side of the fence (i317 forum) and was hoping someone can help me out. I recently found out that the tmobile t989 came with the Group Cast app which is missing from the att model.
Does anyone know what files are necessary to get this on the i317? I was able to download one of the t989 stock roms from your dev section and pulled the GroupCast.apk but it would just keep erroring out and freezing.

Xperia Z Roms

so i wana start with Thanking all the hard working Devs who work their butt of days and night & thank you all for different taste of customs roms on gs3-i747.
i have both, GS2 and GS3--my gs3 is not rooted yet because i am waiting for someone to PORT or make Xperia themed ROM and some kiss ass kernal that goes with it----i havent see any good Xperia like ROM on our GS3 i747 forum, can anyone Please please please get us that i beg of it because im running captivating on my gs2 and its smooooooooth as helll...
once again dont take this wrong way im just putting this out there for any devs to be working on????

Wouldn't you just put the phone into download mode and flash the stock image back to the phone in Odin?
IIRC it even replaces the stock recovery/kernel and un-roots the device too.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

[Q] SPH-L520 Kitkat 4.4 Firmware

Hello,
Is there a release yet of the latest update firmware for Kitkat 4.4 for the Samsung S4 mini on Sprint network (SPH-L520) yet? If someone has it, it would be nice to have it posted. I would greatly appreciate it. Could anyone post it please?

It still hasn't been released yet... :/ officially, you can still get it by flashing a custom rom. But since you have the sprint version.. like myself. :/ You have to wait. Happy waiting. x3

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping they would have customs roms out by now. The stock is ok...nothing to write home about. But customs roms always rock out your phone way better IMO.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that soon we can have custom roms.

NP Yeah I was hoping the same. I think they aren't any developers for the sprint version. I was thinking about maybe port a rom by myself.

With your phone disconnected from the computer for precaution:
Reboot to download mode, think it's volume up or down + home button + power
Act as if to say yes for use and the next screen will show you text up top, this information you see... Does it say knox on any line?

I must say you will love the CM ROM.
I have a favor to ask as that Dev works to help me out also. Can anyone with the SPH-L520 on sprint give me a copy of the PIT file or upload a backup (no data) of the stock ROM.
I made a mistake and rooted/flashed the phone for my girl before activating the phone, not knowing that sprint would have issues doing so. Now the only stock file floating around doesn't work. using samsung kies didn't work and trying to get samsung rep to give me the file was hopeless.

Update on kitkat ota?

Guys I have this phone but I'm in India so was just wondering if anyone has been able to capture the ota file and can upload the zip, really want to try it but the update doesn't register here. Thanks

Just go to SamMobile and type in the model number. All the firmwares are hosted there

This is true.... for the N7105, N7105XXUFNE7 firmware.
The i317 4.4.2 is not.

Its also true for the i317m. Which is identical to the i317 except the bloat. And being in India i doubt it would matter if it had At&t bloat VS Rogers/Bell ect

Understand.... Just merely pointing out that you told OP to search for model number of phone, which guessing is SAMSUNG-SGH-I317, based on signature.
Way cool the i317m is online. Should mean the i317 should be up sometime soon,

Thanks for the replies guys, I was asking coz i noticed on using i317m firmware people were having modem connectivity and other issues, hence I asked, hope they upload it soon on sammobile, fingers crossed

My Note is unlocked, and I'm running it on T-Mobile, so I will NEVER get the chance to update. So, I took it upon myself to update via this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589891

GG, see. The thing is no one here has AT&T. My family is all T-Mobile or MetroPCS. I'm screwed until I find a friend that has AT&T.

Guys does anyone have any news as to how long sammobile gonna take for the kitkat att capture ? Is it a better idea to just hit the deodexed by dicksteele till it does surface?

might be a long wait... but you never know. Last i317 AT&T firmware posted [on Sammobile site] was in Jan2013 which was the official MA4. Seems like every update since [i.e., MC3, MK6] have been appended "updates" to current firmware. IMO, one our our stellar developer's packages is your best option.

Well since they didn't really have one for 4.3 you can get the 4.4.2 odin update but its a rom someone made with it
