I love the faux brushed metallic finish on the back of the titanium Note II, and while I have to have a case to protect the phone, I want to be able to see that nice design on the back. What I'd like is a clear TPU case that I can see the back of the phone through, but most of what I find either has some sort of plaid design, or has a smokey/blurry finish to it. Here are some examples of what I've found so far:
A little hard to see, but the back cover is not perfectly clear, so the back cover will likely not show the brushed design.
This one is plaid, but seems to show that a clear case is doable.
This one may be the best one, but I'm not a big fan of the X
Anyone have any ideas? The other issue is most of the sample images use the white version, so it's hard to tell how they'll look on the titanium model. Thanks for your help!
You could try a zagg full body cover I've used them on other phones. Doesn't add any bulk and definitely protect against scratches. Not much shock absorption though lol.

I bought a half clear and half blue transparent case thats got a kickstand. Its pretty nice and the back is clear and the blue parts are very nice light blue color. It cost all of 2.97 on amazon!
It was made by a company called fomson? Forson? Something like that. Just search for note 2 cases on amazon and theres lots of varieties...and they are dirt cheap. I bought another just because it was so cheap.
Ill never buy those expensive 30 dollar sprint store or best buy 25 dollar ugly black cases.
Or an otterbox......ew I hate those...

This was the closest thing I could find on Amazon, but again, notice how the case makes the back look silver, instead of making the brushed design visible.

I was looking for a clear one too, but after some looking and reading, gave up. Lots of the cheaper ones are reputed to get all yellowish and gross looking rather quickly.

It's looking more and more likely that this is going to be my route as well. I've even looked for the bumpers, but even they all have a 2-tone look.

You can see the pattern somewhat. However its only visible if youre reallu looking up close. Its clear but its just not that clear. I think you want something else

So i finally got this case in my hands and man its pretty cool! the android def gives a sick new look and its a high quality case. on quality it reminds me of the diztronic... The case feels good and its price cant be beat

I ordered the white and it got dirty within a week and the material it was made of just couldn't be cleaned. I carried it mostly in my jean pocket and occasionally in my purse/bag (always clean, no spilled makeup or the like). The rubber area wasn't as dirty but kept the jean indigo ruboff while the matte area just got yellowish/brown dirty. I received an email from the company asking for feedback and I let them know and asked them how I can clean it. They didn't have any suggestions and instead offered to send me another, to which I replied gratefully and asked for the teal color instead of the white.
It comes today and I'll take a couple pics if you want. Awesome retailer (through Amazon).
Other than that, awesome case. The charger went in a little crooked but straightened out after a while. There are holes for a lanyard strap or charm which I got used to on my old HTC and the GNex lacks. The side ridges make it super grippy and the big Android on the back prevents [most] people from saying "OMG IZ THAT TEH NEW IPHONE"
The best part is taking it off and remembering how thin the Nexus is ^_^

Oh, nice! I have a new phone strap and wanted to use it but was slightly bummed that the Gnex doesn't have a hole for one. The android design on the back is also very cute.
Thanks for talking about the white version. I'm a fan of white cases but worried about the discoloration on this one. I mostly carry my phone in my purse with usually no makeup in it.
I hope you guys aren't trying to say that this case adds a lot of bulk to the phone...

I saw that too..kinda weird isnt it??
Have been using the teal and its really nice. The charger port hole still isn't perfect but I am just careful with it. Looked on ebay last night and there's a ****load of new options including some cool looking metal-ey ones. Before there were just the same ones from the larger retailers around $20.
Ill be picking up another cruzerlite soon, they are still the only one I found with the lanyard holes lol

I bought the smoke color and I have to say it looks and fits awesome. I have a custom battery cover and it can be seen through it which really makes it that much nicer. Extremely snug. Can't recommend this one more!

Too flashy for me... But that's just me. There's also a detailed review around here somwhere about the premium aluminium case that is pretty similar, only matt black. In my opinion that's a lot better suited
Then again, it's just me. If you're wondering about protection, then I suppose it does offer quite a lot of it
In my experience metal casing never feels comfortable in the hands, at least on mine never did. All those edges starts to hurt your hands in long usage :/

That case looks awesome, very sexy with the white, kind of reminds me of Real Madrid. I heard the same about metal cases effecting signal though.

I like the look of these bumper cases, but I don't like their size (width/height). I think they don't fit in my pockets.
No way i would put that on my Note its metal connected to the outer polished note metal.. i bet you A month down the road your trim on the note will get damaged...

If you're looking for a clear case, you really have 2 options:
- Plastic
- TPU
The plastic options out there are endless. As you already saw on ebay, there are a plethora of manufacturers who crank these out that you can get for dirt cheap. In my experience though, as with anything in life, you get what you pay for. They usually add a good deal of bulk and scratch pretty easily. Also, consider these "single use". Drop them once and they're pretty much done
TPU cases are a great option. You can usually get these for pretty cheap as well and add less bulk than plastic. But I usually find that the "clear" options are more semi-transparent rather than completely see-through and have a frosted look. If you have the white GSIII, it'll look perfect but i imagine that it won't look so great on the pebble blue (which is what i have). Another downside of "clear" TPU is that they pick up dyes from fabrics very easily. If you wear jeans everyday like I do, after about a month or so you'll see the case slowly start to stain blue.

A little pricey for a plastic shell but it seemed to minimize bulk and will look good with the pebble blue version

I had that exact same case for my GSII.
I loved the textured side grips and the unique S wave in the back. My only small gripe was that it was a little bulkier than other TPU chases I've had. Overall, I'm sure you'll be happy

Hey everyone, so I finally received a case that I ordered (from DX.com) for my Note 10.1. It took about 2 weeks to get it and that's actually faster than I expected. So yea, I don't really like buying cases for like $30+, so I just searched on DX and found 2 cases that looked decent (to me). Came out to $21, I believe. Yea, it seems pretty good so far. However, I didn't get it for amazing protection, I got it for minor protection to protect it from scratches and stuff when I put it in my book bag.

Yep, it's very slim. I'll take some pictures of its profile tomorrow and upload them.
Well, it deemed pretty difficult taking pictures with the lighting that I had, so I decided to whip out the good ol' ruler. So the Note 10.1 itself seems to be about 0.9cm. With the case and the cover covering the screen, it's about 1.3cm. Without the cover covering the case, it's about 1.1cm. So yea, all in all, it adds a little less than 0.5cm.
This case looks nice and clean but one big question. Do the cover stay close? and if it does by what means. By looking at the photos it seems that it doesn't stay close and it just flaps over.

Yep, it uses magnets to stay closed.
I got this one and I really like it. It folds back well so it fits in the charger stand I got. I think it's very similar to yours.

I've had both styles. This one just has the one bend and the 3 ridges. Yours may be lighter

So far, I haven't had any issues. From what I've heard, the official Samsung case for the Note 10.1 uses magnets as well, so I don't think they'd use magnets if there were serious negative effects.
I like the look of this one. can you please confirm if there have been any issues with or affects from the magnets?

I ordered one of these and it just arrived today. For $14 it's ok. I don't know what it's made out of but it kind of stinks, hopefully that goes away. For $14 it's an ok case. It's not as nice as the Moko case I had for my Nexus 7 though, which was only about $10 more. Anyway, thanks to the OP for brining the case to my attention, it will server me well for now.

I was wondering if anyone tried the combination of the diztronic case and a mercury screen protector. The new mercury SP's doesnt cover the entire front anymore (see picture) and was hoping the rest of the front would be covered by the diztronic case.
I have the SP and matte case diztronic, and it shows a little bit of the S3 front screen when the case is on. its unnoticeable though. I have a blue Galaxy S3 and black case, black SP.

That actually looks really nice. I really like that the screen protector covers the Samsung logo, but hate that it adds the Mercury logo to the front of the phone. I would love to have an all black S3 with no logos but, alas, I've yet to find a way to do that.

I didnt order the bullkin one. I kind of prefer the mercury because its anti glare. lol.
Btw, my phones back cover has a xtremeguard back protector and when its not there, the case wraps much better on the phone and doest show the original screen of the phone

the only thing that bothers me about that case is that it's a cutout of the buttons rather than a cover.. but that's why i'm thinking of taking apart my other case to modify to do so. I'll see if I can post results if it's successful.

oh god. that case, i have a black one of that. One of the screws goes through the hole, but this is because of the case being defective. But the piece where the screw rests, gets. The case looks good though, but the buttons are too deep in the case. You wont be able to press them with ease. Maybe when youre done modding ill try the case again.

btw, since you said you have that case, when you place the phone on its back, does the camera lens still touch the surface it's laying on or does it give abit of space?

No it will not touch the surface. And btw, if you end up buying the case, let me know and I'll send you mines, I have no use of it. But only the bottom piece will be usable.
