Any way to deodex proof this CRT Off anim to work on MTD FC09 Deodexed? I ran the Re-Odexer tool to convert the MTD back to Odex but got stuck in a boot loop. Then later I tried to just flash the CRT OFF anim to my deodexed MTD FC09 and got stuck in a boot loop AGAIN! Can anybody either create or convert the CRT to Deodex or make the FC09 MTD Odexed? I really would like to use this off anim (I am coming back down from CM10 where I liked that but I really like Kenny's MTD FC09...prefer an Odexed version, but...

As a new member, with the number of posts less than ten, I could not post my comment below in the development forum so I have to redirect it here.
I too have been looking for crt-off animation in FC09 but it seems that ss4rob’s flashable (that apparently modifies framework-res) is not working with original FC09 ODEX structure either.
I odined in a completely virgin FC09 (from original SPH-D700-FC09-8Gb-REL.tar distribution) and followed steps to successfully convert it into MTD partition schema with the steps described here. I was using Kenny’s TPR2.2.1 for this (thanks Kenny!) so I ended up with rooted ODEX FC09 MTD with SamuraiFC09 kernel custom-made for TPR2.2.1.
So now I have the following ROMs to play with, compare, and test:
1. FC09, ODEX, MTD, with SamuraiFC09 kernel
2. FC09, DeODEXed, (and trimmed of bloat by Kenny), MTD, with ShadowEL30
3. TPR2.2.1, DeODEXed, MTD, with SamuraiFC09 and crt-off
I tested the first configuration with ss4rob’s flashable and ended up with a boot loop. You tested the second one (seemingly with various kernels) and ended up with in a boot loop.
Can somebody post another crt-off mod? It doesn’t have to be flashable.
Thanks!

I'm just using kenny's The Peoples Rom. None of the CRT on or off anims work with FC09 regardless of what has been posted. The scripts are too old. I tried the stock kernel and shadow kernel uses with the deodexed fc09 kenny made and neither made in any difference.

I have a framework-res.apk modded myself for "FC09 Stock Prerooted MTD" working on my E4G. Will upload if you want it. Not sure if it's compatible with your ROMs of choice tho
BTW I don't think ANY of the provided scripts are modded to fit ALL ROMs. Just decompile the framework-res.apk yourself, mod, recompile, replace resource.arsc file and all done (tutorials can be Googled)
Good luck modding yourself

Could you upload your working version of “framework-res.apk”?
One weekend, I’ll mess with it and compare with the original “framework-res.apk” to see the changes that resulted in crt-off.
Thank you, Andy!

Glad to help. But rather, take a look at this tutorial as comparing apks won't possibly show you much of a difference... http://www.freeyourandroid.com/guide/enable-crt-animation
This animation is basically the same as my steps taken... So take your time and good luck
Any trouble just tell, I'll upload ASAP, but as you can see my primary internet device is this N900 and to touch my E4G I have to wait until my mom left (yeah I secretly bought this phone and won't let her know )

Beautiful! This tutorial is straightforward.
As far as I'm concerned there is no need to upload your framework-res.apk. I'll follow the tutorial.
Thanks again.

[APP] 'ODEX ME': Odexing deodexed roms for a BOOST IN PERFORMANCE

Hello Galaxy Nexus Xda Users!
Informations:
Here is a simple apk to odex automatically, easily and securely deodexed roms.
This apk has been coded by the famous Paul Obrien from Modaco Roms and Forums.
This guy is just a genious.
The original apk has been done for Galaxy S II but it works on Galaxy Nexus (tested working). --> Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215271
Paul is even using it in his own Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 Custom Rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1487056
But I tested the apk on other 4.0.3 deodexed roms that you can find in the development section of the Galaxy Nexus and it is working perfectly (Aokp odexed rom is wonderful...)
Odexing a deodexed rom is giving you a boost in smoothness (you can see it in the launcher or in scrolling through system apps), performance and battery.
It gives you the flexibility to have a custom rom with modified system, framework and design AND all the tweaks that come with a custom rom in addition to the performance of an odexed stock rom.
To use it:
1) make sure you have a custom rooted rom / kernel with init.d support (scripts must be able to run at boot: it is a folder in /system/etc). It is very important or it won't run pre-boot scripts... Thanks to open1your1eyes0 who remarked it.
You can try this useful application to add init.d support to your ROM / kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933849
2) make sure that you don't have transparent status bar before odexing or you will loose your bar after odexing... (for AOKP users for example). Thanks to frantic912 who noticed it.
3) simply put the apk in /system/app folder with a file browser like "Root Explorer" (the folder must be in RW mode to copy the file)
4) do a nandroid backup in cwm and / or titanium backup of all your apps (even the system ones like Gmail)
5) then go to the launcher
6) tap "Odex me"
7) follow the instructions
It will:
1) reboot your phone
2) odex all the system staying on a black screen or on the Google screen a bit longer than normally (but it's normal)
3) put a ".odex" file with each app in /system/app
4) reboot again
5) go back to home
--> You will then see your boost in smoothness!
For people who are not convinced: check that: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...e-difference-between-odexed-and-deodexed-roms
To see if it worked:
- Go to /system/app folder and see if there is a ".odex extension" for each system apk.
I attached the apk to this thread for ease of use.
Please write here your tests, opinions, questions, and thank Paul (and me for giving you this info ) for this wonderful and simple apk.
P.S. Please read reports from other users in the thread before trying the apk as some users seem to loose their status bar if they set transparency effects or some of them are having "force closes" if the rom they are using is too much themed...
P.S.2. Pay attention please, as androidphone2012 intelligently noticed, this apk can only odex *.apk files. The system framework is not odexed by it. To odex the framework too, please use the following script instead. It odexes *.apk files and Framework *.jar files too.
--> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278586
If you already ran the apk to odex apk files, do not flash that zip: re-flash your ROM, GApps and MODs you're using and then flash the zip.
For your information, I tested the CM10.1 zip from the thread on my AOKP latest nightly build version and it worked flawlessly.
Looks cool. Nothing is attached to your post though.
Can I use it on other devices? (Galaxy si900)
I don't think this works. It rebooted and when I booted back and checked, there were no .odex files in the /system/app folder. Has anyone else got it working?
FYI, tested on 4.0.4 stock deodexed ROM.

Oups Sorry.
I was at work, I attached it but maybe when I posted the thread, it didn't put it...

Did not have init.d support. Very important or it won't run pre-boot scripts!

You can try, it could work.
I will try this week end as I go to a friend who has a Galaxy S and I will test on his phone.
Will report after but you could do a nandroid backup, test by yourself and report here too

Thanks. I knew that. Just forgot to post it.
I modified OP to inform about that.

So apparently I spoke to soon...
The app ran this time but after the reboot and odex process, my SystemUI wouldn't load and I ended up with no notification bar up top or any soft-keys at all. Also it was back to stock wallpaper. Not sure what happened, it looked like everything went through fine but I guess my SystemUI is borked.
Recovering from backup now...
I am not sure what caused this issue. I did have modded soft-keys and battery icon however, but I don't see why this would matter if a lot of the custom ROMs have modded soft-keys anyway. I would like to point out this was on stocked deodexed 4.0.4 ROM. If this works for anyone else, I would surely like to know. MAKE SURE you backup before trying.
Thank you Flolep
It works great for me, but I don't know why Gmail disappeared. But it's still in /system/app, so I tried to install and I get this : Application not installed

It's a system app so you can't "install" it. It has to be flashed into the ROM. I have a feeling this app is not exactly the most reliable in working with all the apks.

Well. I didn't have any problem with it... Gmail was still there and my framework and system ui didn't have any problem after reboot...
I tried with modaco 4.0.4 rom that is near stock 4.0.4 deodexed rom and I tried with heavily customized aokp latest aokp build 25 rom, configured for my needs, battery percent, toggles, navigation controls in blue, etc, etc, and all worked seamlessly...
I add to first thread to do a nandroid backup before launching the process.

I will keep in view for this app until more success cases reported
But I definitely will try after back from my vacation, wouldn't risk to brick my device on a trip ;p
I finally found the problem...
I forgot that the custom ROM I'm using needs a sort of modded Gapps pack to be install via CWM.
I think here is the issue.
Worked fine for me. GSM GN on AOKP B25. Just make a backup in cwm before you do it. Worst case scenario: it boot loops, you pop the battery, boot into recovery and restore.
Do you know the muffin man?

[NEW][ROM][KERNEL] tFE22_v0.1.1 + FE22_Repack_AGAT kernel.

This thread will be a little different.
I would like to make one thing very clear. Even tho I'm posting new repacked kernel with a recovery compiled from source I can't claim this as my work.
A lot of talented devs were involved in the process and they were kind enough to guide me every step of the way and not claiming any credit for that. I would like to extend my thanks to (not in any particular order):
Chris41g
Sfhub
garwynn
Mr. Sumrall
Entropy
And many more who helped along the way.
First let us understand what is "safe" recovery.
Here is direct quote from sfhub's PM to me:
"Just think of it this way. You build your own recovery executable and have examined your source tree confirming wipe.c doesn't exist, so the operations that are handled *by your recovery* are safe. That is wipe data/factory reset and nandroid backup/restore.
When you choose to install a rom from *your recovery*, it uses a "helper app" that is in the ROMs update.zip called update-binary.
This update-binary is also compiled against libext4_utils.a, except in this case (except for your own ROM), you cannot examine the source tree update-binary was compiled against, so you can't be sure wipe.c wasn't used.
Now if that ROM update.zip were to use a "known" update-binary, like the one included with the EL29 OTA, then you would know that it was "safe" update-binary, even without the source code."
End quote.
You can read more about this In this thread if you haven't done it yet.
In other words. The bug was present in GB as well but it was missing the command to trigger it. That command has been introduced (added) in ICS code.
So:
1. As long as recovery is build against GB code it is safe.
2. If any update zip is build based on GB source code it is safe.
3. If any rom has GB updater-binary in META-INF it is safe.
4. If rom is build with ICS update-binary but doesn't have format() for data in updater-script it is safe.
As we can see here the problem is with format() command in ICS source.
There is a line (command) in ICS that wasn't present in GB and it triggers the bug. It's hiding in format() and has a wipe() syntax or something like that.
GB source code doesn't have it thus we never had any bricks in GB.
When any filename_rom_theme_whatever.zip is applied in recovery it will use updater-binary that is packed into zip and located in META-INF folder.
All GB binaries are safe since they didn't have that wipe() command in them.
We have safely used Calk's format_all.zip because it has been created in GB days and has GB updater-binary in it.
If rom devs will use GB update-binary the rom zip will be safe to flash.
Any update.zip with GB binaries is safe.
Now about the update and repack I'm about to post.
Recovery has been compiled from source provided by Chris41g and with his help against CM7 (GB) source code and all menu items in recovery are safe to use.
It has been repacked into ICS zImage but since binaries are from GB there is nothing to worry about.
tFE22_v0.1.1 has GB binary in it (as all my roms did) and it's safe to flash.
FE22_Repack_AGAT.zip has GB binaries and it's safe to use.
Whenever you wanna flash a zip file in recovery you would worry only if zip has ICS binaries packed into it. I that case even simplest zip flashing can cause a brick. It doesn't mean it would but the possibility is there.
I'm using this newly repacked kernel for couple of days now and I did apply wipe data/factory reset menu option 8 times. No problems so far.
I hope you would have same experience.
Now to my update.
tFE22_v0.1.1:
1. Fixed SystemUI.apk
2. 4G icons have been replaced with ones I had in my previous roms.
3. Added S-Voice (thanks to scarmon25 for help)
4. Small revisions all over the place.
5. Bluetooth works and reconnects as soon as device is in range
FE22_Repack_AGAT:
1. Recovery compiled from source (I can't thank enough Chris41g for his help and guidance)
2. Wipe data/factory reset is back into recovery menu (use it with caution).
3. Small changes and edits in init.rc
4. Changes and edits in recovery.rc.
5. Renamed recovery to AGAT_Recovery version tREC_0.0.1. Thanks to Chris41g for being so kind and generous because it is his recovery, source and help that make all this possible.
6. Added my logo and name to recovery background.
Here are links:
tFE22_v0.1.1
1. tFE22_v0.1.1.zip
Mirror at dev-host.
2. Deodexed version coming soon.
Repacked Kernel:
1. FE22_Repack_AGAT.tar Flash with ODIN
2. FE22_Repack_AGAT.zip Flash in recovery.
If anyone wants to use this repack for a rom feel free to do so.
One more time it's not my work but rather a combined effort of many talented devs that helped me wile staying in background and didn't want/ask for any credit for this.
But they deserve more credit than I do. They could of do it without me in a heart bit. I couldn't do it without them in a year.

Awesome. Great work agat., question, I know this is your recovery, what is it based on, ACS5, rogue, CM? And just to clarify, you can wipe using this in ics? Providing that the update script in the zip isn't ics? Did i get that right? Lol. Is there any way to tell if the update meta file script uses ICS or GB? Also does this kernel come with s some of the standard goodies, initd, bootanimation support etc? Also, 1st page again!. Shout out to rwilco for putting all these kernels I'm one place.. Edit: just flashed and checked out the recovery, effing awesome!!!Excellent!!!
Looks like you pulled an all-nighter...no slacker, you.
Problem: Firefox and Opera do not play well with JumboFiles for the ROM. OpenDNS blocks it and other red flags pop-up. Any mirror or other source planned? If I'm alone, c'est la vie.
Thanks and great work, agat. Without question you're putting the greatest effort into development now and it's terrific to be a beneficiary of your going up the learning curve.
EDIT: Found a work-around to download ROM, but JumboFiles.com has a bad rep. Downloading Agat's repacked was never a problem.
FYI, Did you notice when flashing the new FE22 repack, screen indicates it is "Flashing FE16 Repacked Kernel?" I assume that's a typo.
Agat, I'm currently on rooted stock FE22 ROM with your repacked FE22 kernel, including modified ACS recovery.
Can I flash your new ROM from FE22/ACS recovery or should I mobile odin back to EL26/CWM and flash from there?

The way I read it, that depends on the update script that's in the ROM your flashing. So if you are using this kernel plus a ROM that has an update script based on the GB script then yes. Agat, please correct me if I'm wrong...

That is exactly correct! So all devs technically should be building roms with updater scripts from GB base now, if they weren't already.

[MOD] CRT Animation for Captivate Glide I927

Big thanks to
kennethpenn - for this wonderful Enable CRT Animation in Gingerbread guide
CarpeNoctem - for (OsiMood's) update-binary and install-script reference material
Brut.all - for apktool
blast0id - for easyFLASHABLEzipBUILDER
and of course everyone who put in the work to build the foundations on which all of this is built and everyone else I'm forgetting
Without further ado, here is the
CRT Animation for Captivate Glide I927
Here is the install zip for CWM - automatic install
i927-CRT-mod.zip
Here is the framework-res.apk - manual install, use a root file manager to copy to /system/framework/
framework-res.zip
Warning: This is made for the ATT stock rom. It may work on the Rogers rom as well. It may not work on a custom rom, if possible you should find the framework-res.apk specific to your rom, ask the rom creator to make one, or make your own using the guide and resources listed above. To be safe, always make a backup using CWM before installing ANY mod. It only takes a few minutes and can save you hours in the long run.
Disclaimer: Use at your own risk I'm not responsible if you brick your phone, yadda yadda. I have only tested this on an ATT 2.3.6 stock rom with ardatdat kernel. So far it seems to work great and looks awesome. There is a weird effect that if the screen is off and I push the power in for just the perfect number of milliseconds, the screen starts to turn on and then turns itself off again. But I have difficulty trying to get this to happen on purpose so I doubt it will prove much of an issue. It's probably just a quirk of having the CRT animation enabled. Anyway, all of that said,
Enjoy!
UPDATE:
Here are the uninstall files for the ATT 2.3.6 stock rom. All warning and disclaimers above also apply to these so always make a CWM backup first.
Here is the uninstall zip for CWM (reinstalls stock file) - automatic uninstall
i927-CRT-mod-removal.zip
Here is the stock framework-res.apk - manual install, use a root file manager to copy to /system/framework/
framework-res(stock).zip

Ah well that kind of explains it. I was looking for a thread specific to CRT animation. I did suspect that some of the custom roms would already have it enabled but I wanted to give the stock run a good run for the money before trying any custom roms. Also, having the info in the middle of a custom rom thread doesn't make it very accessible. This thread was geared more towards people with stock roms who wanted an easy, confirmed way of enabling the animation.
Also, I have all signatures turned off in this forum because so many of them were large and intrusive that they were really hurting the readability (imo) of the site.

FYI, this particular mod was not taken from his rom. It was created from the framework-res.apk in my own stock ATT rom and altered using the guide and resources mentioned in the first thread. So while he gets credit for doing it first, none of his work was used in the creation of this mod. (Edit: That I know of. Apologies if I'm mistaken. I'm not trying to rip off anyone's work or belittle anyone's contributions.)

Didn´t worked for me and now the power button just don´t work anymore. Any hints to uninstall it? I flashed the zip. Ozimood Rom.
Um, reflash? See here for CRT made by dman (confirmed working)
Flashed dman crt but i think my system was corrupted, stucked on bootloop. Done recovery now i´ll try dman.
Sorry about that, this is made specifically for the stock rom. If you have custom rom, you should get the framework-res.apk specific to that rom, as the rom creator may have made other changes as well. I'll edit the first post to make it more clear that this is for the stock rom.
Restored Osimood and flashed crt.zip... no luck.
All the install zip does is copy that one file to your system directory. I think it's absolutely impossible to hard brick from that. Don't you have a CWM backup you can restore?

Damn. I was going to mention this but I was waiting to get enough posts to post in this forum. xD
Neither of the CRT On or CRT Off links work on this end.
So thanks a ton transce080. ^_^
Could you possibly add a CRT On as well? I know there's a guide in the Captivate Glide thread that Aquethys linked to but it'd be nice to have just have a flashable method.

Sure thing. It will have to wait until later tonight after work or the weekend.

[MOD] [UCALG1/UCALH1] Enable Call Recording

I take no credit for this modification, it is not an original idea nor does it contain original code. It's an adaptation of the modification for the GT-I9300 by wanam which can be found here. I simply made a few slight modifications to accomodate the SGH-I747.
That being said, I have not tested this on anything other than a SGH-I747, running a stock, deodexed UCALG1 or UCALH1.
"CWM" HOWTO
Download the appropriate package for your firmware (eg. UCLAG1, UCALH1)
Boot into recovery.
Make a nandroid backup.
Flash package.
Note: Recordings are saved to /sdcard/Sounds.
Also included are *-Rollback.zip files. These will "revert" or "rollback" this modification, returning you back to the STOCK Dialer (without recording). Be sure to flash the appropriate one for your firmware!
Question, where does it store the recording?

What's the rollback zip for? Is that a revert file in case we want to go back to the original phone?

will this remove the no increasing ringtone mod or does this already incorporate that as well. Looking at the original thread by wanam there were 2 different versions available for download. Just curious. pretty sure I can figure out how to incorporate the no increasing ringtone.
Thanks.

Sure. If you don't mind. Otherwise, when i get my dev box set back up, I am pretty sure I can figure it out.
Currently working on a UCALG1 stock firmware build that has all the potential of the phone unlocked (deodexed, zipaligned, BT and WiFi tether enabled, etc.) since i have only been able to find that for the previous firmware (UCALEM). Just makes it easier instead of having to flash to stock UCALG1 and then run a bunch of updates to get back. This way flash back to rooted stock with all the bells and whistles through odin without tripping the counter. :fingers-crossed:
Once I feel like taking the risk of bricking my phone, was going to work on doing the same to UCALH1 and test it out.
i flashed the UCALG1-DEODEX-EnableCallRecording.zip through CWM stock rom but with no flash counter rooted phone yet i do not see the recording feature. is there something i'm missing? any word of advice folks?
i was able to flash the tether app and debloated app through CWM without any issue; so i'm not sure what i'm missing here. thanks in advance

You CAN deodex a stock ROM, but gig would have to either flash a deodexed stock ROM or deodex your apks yourself. In order to apply custom modifications or themes, you'll need a deodexed ROM.
I, personally, run a stock ROM.. stock TouchWiz, etc, justed rooted and deodexed.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S III
I am not deodexed. To run I simply renamed the phone apk and phone odex files in system/app folder to .old then moved the phone apk from the zip to the system/app folder using es file explorer. Rebooted .... record calls!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Be careful what state you are in when you use this. Lots of us states require two party notification to record calls (caller and called party)

Call Recording + No Increasing Ring
Attached is a CWM update that incorporates not only the Call Recording found in this thread, but also the mod to not have the increasing ringer which was by yoelsd. Thanks goes to both the OP and yoelsd and too many others that gave guides for decompiling and editing APKs... I also used the CWM zip that yoelsd gave with his update, as the update-script will remove the .odex file since the SecPhone_ATT.apk file is deodexed.
I just tested this out on my stock "Odexed" rooted SGS-III using the UCALG1 Firmware and it works like a charm. Best of both worlds. Maybe the OP can put a link in the first post to this. :fingers-crossed:
CHEERS!
what is this Odexed and De-Odexed business? What's the benefit and why are we doing it?

Odex means there are .odex files present for an application. Example: SecPhone_ATT.apk also has an odex file named SecPhone_ATT.odex. A deodexed application basically has the .odex file complied differently into a .dex file which resides in the .apk. the purpose of odex was for speed but you lose a bit of storage and you cannot usually mod them as easy since part of the program is in 2 places. Deodexed apps tend to use a bit more memory and are not totally optimized for speed (zipalign helps with memory and speed and for the most part differences are negligible) but are the only way you can really make any changes to roms or programs.
There are plenty of resources out there that explain "odex vs deodex" on the interweb via search engine and on this site if searched.

Yup... the update that I posted is good for odexed and deodex roms since I borrowed the update-script that will delete the .odex file when you install it.
See my original post for who all I thanked for their stuff that I used. The only thing I did is take the OPs SecPhone_ATT.apk file for UCALG1 and modify it to include the no increasing ringer... there were guidss int he forums here that showed how to do it. It was easier to do that way, then to try to figure out how to enable call recording and mofiying the other APK to include it... lol
So if you used a DeOdexed rom, you will not notice anything. If you use an Odexed (i.e. stock) rom like I do, you will get a message when the phone boots that android is updating and the only file that will be deOdexed will be the SecPhone_ATT.apk file. If you are rooted, you can verify using file managers on your phone to verify that there is not a SecPhone_ATT.odex file in System/App after the update. If there is, then you can delete it (only if you actually did the update though).

[REQ] Multi Window all apps Mod Odex

Can anyone get this working for me? I've tried and i just cant do it..Im getting sick of restoring when I fail..Something about odex roms that my phone loves is the reason why I would rather not Use a deodexed rom..Pretty please with sprinkles on top.
Seriously...I'll donate for it if I have to..
Ok. Here is a trick.
Anything odex.... When installing a non-odex mod, el work if you first manually delete the odex file of that "app".
So... replacing keyboard you see in the system folder there is a keyboard apk (Samsungime.apk I believe) there is also a Samsungime.odex. If you delete the odex file or even rename it, then when switching the apk it should work correctly.
90% of the time it works every time

Brianbaker, you silly cracker. Ive been hooked on odex roms too. I find deodexed to be not as smooth and not as snappy. Don't know why. There's something the deodex does to the rom the makes it run not as smooth. But most people are jyst too slow in the brain to notice it so they will argue you that deodex is faster or the same. I would love to get a idex mod for all apps aswell. Brianbaker will donate double for me. Thxs brian.
Just use the deodexed rom and deodexed mod then odex your rom after you install all your mods.

@smellymouse what's up man..I was getting desperate for this mod that I almost posted I'd donate 100 bucks..I won't got that far for a silly mod . But I will donate more than the usual donation if it means I and other Odex users can enjoy this feature. ..Now...off to learn how to Odex my rom.

I ran your rom for a day or so(loved it) but personally like the stock look..I then pulled the Flashbarservice apk and flashbarservice odex files and pushed them to my device running the stock Odexed Rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1981668 with busy box installed and a stock/modded kernel..After pushing those files to my phone i get no action from pressing and holding the back button(nothing pops up)..I did set permissions as well..Is there something else i need to be moving over?
I was happy when i seen your rom and that it was odexed..But the stock look is what im trying to achieve..Loved every single thing about your rom but everything was too dark lol.I work outside and its hard to see in the sun with so much black...
Your rom with a stock theme would be the beezKnees for me..But i'd never ask a developer to help me with eliminating something from their rom i didn't like...I have the "if you dont like it,move on" attitude.

My odex is rusty. But last I checked, the odex files are built specifically from several core framework files. If these core framework files are modified/changed between roms, the odex files will not be interchangeable between those roms. Perhaps this is why slesh's odex files are not working for you.
I agree with evil's suggestion of deodexed > odex. Take a stock deodexed rom, add the mods you want, then odex the framework/system. The odex files you make should work for all stock roms of the same release you started with.

You need to odex the core framework files 1st before doing the rest of the framework and system/app files. I'm not familiar with odexme, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't deal with the framework.
Last odexing I've done was back on gb, so I not going to be able to help much. See if you can find a jb odex script tool. Or check out links in slesh's sig for more info. Good luck.

I was just referring to the services jar if he wanted it, they will work if he's on LJC. And most of the mod doesn't have anything to do with a theme, so the theming of my Rom luckily shouldn't have much to do with whether the mod works for you. You could use 7zip to drag and drop stock images into the zip with my odexed flashbar service apk, before flashing
I would still like to learn how to do this so i'll just keep reading as much information I can..As for right now though im back on Stock Odex with a stock Kernel and im willing to pay $50 to get a working version of the MultiWindow mod..I don't need any tweaks for battery life in a rom or extra speed..The more things get tinkered with usually leads to other quirks..Don't take what i'm saying as hostility, its actually more of frustration...
So,any Devs..$50 if you're up for it.

well, i mean I could just odex the mod that's up in the dev section. It'll look stock but it'll work. you just want odexed multi app mod so you can have all apps?
Edit: honestly though. on second thought, I always appreciate donations but don't want to work for a "bounty" so to speak. There are odex scripts that could pretty easily do it for you
It's not a donation man..I just want to pay you for your talents..I'm simply looking for the same mod that works on deodex to work for odex stock with no bells and whistles. .stock rom that is up in the development section that has deodexed and odex roms (linked a few pages up)..just I want it to work on odex
You can even put it in the Dev section for anyone else who wants it afterwards..It's your mod i'm just over trying to figure it out and i'm on call and cant afford to have my phone down every time i fail and have to reflash a back up..But if you feel its not right to do it then it's entirely up to you.
