I installed flash on my Note 2. The stock browser now has flash.
BUT Opera still does NOT have flash support.
What should I do?
You have to install flash first. There are several ways. I am going to import flash from my Droid X. Just do a search. Click here to see one of the ways of installing flash into Note 2.. Click here for another way to install flash into Note 2. Then Opera should work with flash after you get flash installed.

I followed your instructions.
I installed flash player. The stock browser has full flash support.
Then I installed Opera 12.1. No flash support still in Opera 12.1. I even typed Operalugins in the search menu. No plugins are listed.
So I uninstalled Opera 12.1.
Then I installed Opera 12.0.2 and Opera 12.0.3. Each showed Flash plugin support, but CRASHED the moment a (non-YouTube) video played.
What should I do??
I am getting my Galaxy Note 2 today, hopefully. If so I am going to try in get this to work this weekend with flash from my Droid X. Thanks to Titanium Backup. I will let you know my findings.

Any solution to this yet??
So far I got flash to work only on a few sites, including youtube on my new Galaxy Note 2. But most sites either didn't work or detects me having a smartphone and disables the flash. This is now happening to my Droid X, the Android that was popular for having flash as part of its core.

Hi,
I had stock 4.3 firmware on my att i747 galaxy s3, then I decided to flash cyanogenmod. everything went well but i dont really like it.
Now I want to go back to stock. I tried flashing the stock rom with odin but it fails and it says this on the phone:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (2 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2
SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0
The android version it shows is 4.3.1 and im able to use it normally with the cyanogenmod.
What can I do to flash a stock rom back?
EDIT: used triangle away and the custom binary download says "no" now and the current binary says "samsung official" but still get the same problem.
Thank You

You need to flash a stock ROM that has no boot loader attached to it. I just reverted my S3 back to stock from CM11 so that I could sell it. Flash a Rom.zip through recovery and it should work fine. I see you are ATT so I suggest this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540998. You have the choice of Stock Rooted without bootloader which is what you will be looking for. This thread also has everything you may need. Do not attempt to use Odin to flash roms with older bootloaders or you will find major issues.
You will almost definitely need to wipe everything so back everything up and be sure to take a Nandroid.

In that thread you have 2 good options that I can see. Scroll down and you will find one ROM by upndwn4par/full and another debloated directly under it. Which you chose depends on if you want Samsung/ Google software on it. The upndwn4par file will have you closer to stock than the other. Please be sure to read a couple pages, even if you don't get any immediate knowledge from it you will become way more familiar with these processes. It's worth the time, and safer for your phone.

Thanks once again, i will download the debloated one. But I have a question, that won't be a stock rom right? If the bootloader is the problem is there a stock d2att 4.3 rom i can flash?
That is a stock ROM. It is just pre rooted with knox removed. It is a modified version of the Stock OTA with the problematic parts removed..

You need a custom recovery to flash this. CWM or TWRP. I'm not too sure how you got to CM without one but be sure you have one and then flash the Rom from above. You can install CWM with the app 'Rom Manager'.
See here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2538991

I installed CWM but now that i used cyanogen for a while im starting to like it. The only thing that I dont like is the music player. I downloaded google play but it is even worst, my playlists are not even in order. Is there any way of flashing the stock samsung music player on cyanogenmod or is it integrated with the touchwiz?
Thanks for all the help you gave me so far.
EDIT: I found this thread about ported s4 apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267029, can i just flash it with CWM using cyanogenmod?
You can not flash that S4 port. It says it is specifically for the Galaxy advance. Also you are correct that the Samsung player requires Touchwiz. Try Power Amp, it has pretty good reviews and features. A 3rd party player is probably your best bet. You can cherry pick for features

I tried a lot of players and didn't like any. Flashed the ROM you indicated using CWM and it worked. Did it all for the player Everything is working fine now and I really like how it doesn't have all the bloatware from att.
Thank you very much for the help.

If you are able to access download mode, you could easily flash a custom ROM.
S i can access download mode
Can i go back to stock or only custom firmware from now on..?

If I were you, I would go to a custom firmware. That is if you have a custom recovery like ClockWorkmod or TWRP. But you can flash stock, at least to my understanding. But I'd look into that.
(Your bootloader will need to be unlocked too)
I am on Clockworkmod v6.0.3.1 the thing is i don't want a custom firmware 2 many problems
I would like to load stock buy have read most of them get their phones bricked

If you were on the 4.3 official stock ROM that was pushed out, you have a possibility of bricking your device downgrading to lets say the 4.1.2 stock ROM.
A custom ROM isn't bad though. If you do like Touchwiz based ROMs you may be able to find one in the development section.

What information are you wanting to backup?
You'll have to find your ROM of choice. If you want a reliable ROM then I'd recommend something that is stable, which should always be said in the thread,

Contacts could be backed up if you sync with your gmail account. SMS can be done by an application on the market. Notes that are synced on Evernote or Keep should just be there.

Ok i have downloaded some Rom (all different ) i get status 7 when installing it & re do the script i get status 6 error
Any ideas about it ..?
So i waited for a while to get my answers or solution still nothing
Got bored looking @ my s3 lying as a paper weight as decide to downgrade to the stock firmware 4.1.1 by odin

Really Happy that now its on stock & can do a update/backup my stuffs .........
I just got another Note 2 with the darn 4.3 and KNOX!
If I just want to install philz and a SynergyROm for 4.3, must I root ??
Thx!
Here's what you do. ..
1. Odin a recovery of choice.
2. Flash Billiards412 Rom restore . This removes Knox but doesnt reset knox.
3. Odin a recovery again of your choice. Since it gets removed
4. Flash Synergy.

I got as far as step 2, falshing 412, with philz. Now its bootlooping....and I cant seem to do anything. Pulling the battery doesnt help, it just does the same bootloop sequence when battery is reinserted.

Yes one of the joys of the phone not being locked down tight. I have had multiple htc phones and they were a pain. This was my first samsung and i have to say it is easy.
Only thing is when flashing new roms you will wont to make sure to wipe/format internal sdcard. For more info check out the guide in general section. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50335424 While titled as 4.3 and 4.4 the steps should be used for all rom installs. Although the back to stock method is not allways required.

@first there is no cm for this tab. All custom roms based on stock rom or 4.2.2 port from sm-t110
There is no need to unlock bootloader like HTC. No seperate flash of Boot.img...
Install cwm or twrp recovery with Odin. Check threads for Odin install instructions. Its easy going

If you want to try custom roms check index thread for sm-t210 Roms.

Try looking at the specs of each ROM and compare it with yours. I am currently running S.E.A.L ROM
with the Black hawk kernel I am finding it faster than the Stock ROM and also way less bloatware.
Try this or the RocketTab Rom and Blackhawk. These tend to work the best for most SM-T210 and R.
Hello,
I installed Cyogenmod on my Note 8.0 almost a year ago, but I'd really like to go back to stock ROM so I can use the Samsung/stylus apps. I haven't found any guides to uninstall cyogenmod. To top it off I seem to have lost my original backup since my laptop crashed about 10 months ago. Any help would be appreciated.
1) Download your stock rom, either from the forum or from samfirmware.com. Just be carefull, if you flash a 4.4 rom you will get Knox in your bootloader, so it's better to go to a previous version if you plan on rooting.
2) Download Odin 3.09
3) Go to download mode by turning off your Note, and turning it on while pressing Vol down and Home buttons.
4) Open Odin, load the stock rom with the AP button in Odin, connect your Note to USB and click Start. (You have to have the Samsung drivers installed on your machine)
Enjoy!
PD
If you use linux instead of Windows you can use Heimdall to flash.
Thanks for the help! I just finished the install
Thanks for posting. I want to flash back to stock to sell my device and needed this. Will this also remove the custom recovery?
Much appreciated

Yes, if you want it rooted, you have to re-root it because flashing stock firmware will lose your previous root.

Have you ever considered using CM 11 with CM SPen Add-on, Note Buddy and Myscript Stylus Beta OCR? Simple Notepad for notetaking organizer.
I would never return to Samsung 4.4.2.
