Hi All,
I'm having some problems getting data roaming on my Nexus. I'm using a BB build from a couple of days ago. I've enabled data roaming in the options, but it doesn't seem to be working. How can I get started at debugging this issue? Is there a way I can manually enable roaming from ADB?
Thanks!

I posted in the cm6 thread but it seems more people are interest in flaming other's post.
I have been running nightlies for a bit and decided to settle on 8/8. Usually I'm connected via wifi however, last night I noticed my phone no longer gets 3g or any data link. Is there a hidden setting? Under mobile network settings, I have data enabled, beyond that I can't figure it out.
I have tried full wipes and backups, re-installing cm6, re installing kernals, wimax and radio all to no avail.
no getting a notification that says "data roaming- you have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with...(can't read the rest off screen"
CM has data roaming off by default..have you tried turning data roaming on?
settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks
??
Yes, I was on the verizon network, odd though it wouldn't turn on data roaming for some reason. All my work was to no avail anyway, the tower near me is down. I just assumed it was working. No it get all my data back up. Thanks for your response.
I updated my phone to EI 22 using Nubernel-2.6.35_v0.0.1 and ever since when ever my phone roams I get no data not 1x nothing I was on PRL 1114 so thinking maybe that was causing i updated and it went to 60683 but I still get no data when roaming. I tried changing all the settings in the roaming tab under settings no luck anyone else having this problem?? How do I fix I use to get 3g roaming with the PRL 11114 no i get no data at all when roaming on any PRL
Check your roaming settings.
Menu>Settings>Wireless and Network>Roaming (at least that is what mine is) (EI22 ERA Beta 3.3)
There are settings in there for Roaming Mode, Settings, and Guard.
I'd recommend Roaming Mode to be automatic.
Roaming settings to be Voice and Data... (Domestic I imagine)
Roaming guard prompts you if you want to roam on each of the settings checked.
Hey thanks for the reply I have played around with all of those different setting to no avail but I think today it finally fixed its self. The problem was when I went to a roaming area and the prompt comes up asking if you want to roam, well it would do that but the prompt would actually never come up so I could go ahead and click ok to roam. but for some reason it did today finally so all good I even tried turning the prompt off and just telling it to roam in the settings like you said but that didn't work either so I don't know what the deal was but it is working now finally.
Glad to hear! Have a good weekend!
Hi guys,
recently I have flashed the last UK Generic stock rom. I have noticed that when my phone switch to roaming the data connection is active. It also happens if the data roaming option is disabled.
Any of you with the same problem?
I'm on LG G3 851, running rooted/stock Marshmallow on MetroPCS. I received a text yesterday from MetroPCS, telling me that I was approaching my 8GB limit for tethering on my hotspot.
Here's the thing, I have never activated my hotspot. I double checked my settings and it is turned off.
I went thru their customer service to no avail.
I called one of their stores, who reset my data for the month, but I notice that any data I now use still accumulates under my hotspot data (even though my hotspot is still turned off).
Lookout app says that I don't have any malware installed (for what it's worth). I've double-checked my APN settings. I do have a thing on my Access Point names, "EPDH MMS - tmus" that I did not notice before.
Any clues or hints how I can fix this or what is going on?
UPDATE: still doing it. I talked to MetroPCS customer service again today and had the network refreshed. It's still doing it.
Anyone know of any malware that does this kind of thing? Getting a little paranoid here.
Hi
I have an unlocked 5T on 02 UK, running OxygenOS 5.1.1.
I was recently traveled to Turkey for 4 days, and when I got my phone bill noticed I had been charged for using data while I was there. Before I switched my phone to flight mode on the plane I disabled data roaming (SIM & network>SIM>Roaming), data itself (SIM & network>Mobile data) and enabled data saver (Data usage>Data saver) to be sure. "Mobile data always active" in Developer options was already off. I didn't re-enable any of this until my flight landed back in the UK. According to O2 I used 530KB of data over that time. Has anyone else come across this? Wouldn't be so frustrating if it hadn't cost me £22.50!
I will soon be in the USA for 2 months and don't want this to happen again, so any advice on what I might have missed, or how to stop it happening again would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
