I am new to the Smartphone...
I synced my calendar to my S620. Now sometimes randomly I get notices that I have an appointment when in fact I had that appointment yesterday.
It looks like all my meetings are getting moved forward 12 or so hours in my calendar. Then maybe after 5 or 10 minutes the calendar reverts back to the corrrect times.
Has anybody else encountered this issue?
Any solutions?
might have to do with your time settings, check if it's auto on in the time settings as well as the right timezone and it matches your computer
I have experienced a similar issue. Yesterday I noticed one of my appointment times change on 2 separate occasions. The time changed to an hour earlier than my meeting was supposed to be and then changed to an hour after. I set it back both times. Fortunately, I knew what time my meeting was that day.
I've only been using the Dash a couple of days so I don't know if this will be an ongoing issue. I had put the device in my holster without locking it, so I was wondering if that might be the source of the problem. Also, I had some trial 3rd party PIM software installed which I have since uninstalled. I'm a little worried that this would be an issue that would get through testing.
Today I noticed all my meeting times advanced by an hour when my service changed from T-Mobile to Centennial when I was driving. The time on the home screen of my Dash was correct, but all my meeting times changed by an hour. I watched as I changed back from Centennial to T-Mobile, and double checked my meeting times. They all moved back to the correct time. Anybody have any idea what is going on? It doesn't make sense that the time on my home screen was fine, but my appointment times changed on me. Any insight on the matter would be helpful.
In the clock settings uncheck the "auto clock/time zone" setting
Hi folks, having a slight issue with my TP2. It is running the preinstalled vodafone rom for the UK. (version 1.14.161.6 (50207) WWE)
Over the last two days it has stopped automatically powering down the screen when not being used. The backlight switches off as normal, but the screen does not shut down until i press the power button. So if I forget, the screen can stay on all night, killing the battery.
Have been into the settings,on the power screen, and checked all 4 boxes are checked for the times to shut off the backlight and screen on both battery and mains power, and they are.
Any ideas? I have not installed any new software so am stumped. Any common causes of this behaviour?
Cheers
Jon
did you change it through the manila settings tab or start/settings/system/power/backlight ? the reason why i ask is because sometimes when you set settings through manila tab settings, the settings dont work. try deactivating manila, then start/settings/system/power/backlight , then reactivate manila. hope that helps. if not im stumped too.
Is manila part of touchflo? If so I don't have it enabled, I just use spb shell on top of winmo 6.1, so yes was using start/settings/power method.
However, not sure if I have hit upon the problem - I use a program called g-alarm (which is one of the best programs ever), and in it's settings there is a way to keep the screen on when the alarm is snoozed. I recently enabled this, and wonder if it might have messed up the os settings somehow.
I tried uninstalling g-alarm last night and it made no difference, but since restoring a backup, and changing the screen-on setting within g-alarm to off the phone is working normally.
I daren't re-enable the setting to test it, just in case the phone gets messed up again for good this time so this might be a total red herring, and perhaps it was just the restore that did the trick (although have restoring before at least 3 or 4 times with no joy). Will report back when I dare to mess again.
cool to here you are back to normal lol. it would have been a major hassle if you had alot of apps, accounts and whatnot to reinstall. i got really pissed at g-alarm one time when it wouldnt stop going off (phantom alarm) so i will never use it again. you might want to find the thread from where you got it and report the bug. maybe someone else has the same problem and the developer came out with a patch or upgrade for it.
Had same problem on 2 phones
I had same problem on 2 phones- Tilt2 and Kaiser (Tilt). Problem was.... Microsoft Live. When mail account set to ..As Arrived... phone doesn't go to sleep and keeps screen on permanently. Battery was empty in half of the day. After I switched to use POP or IMAP mail and stopped using Live, everything became normal and works excellent.
Here is the Answer
Maybe you have played some games and did not close it by the normal way..
Try to change the registry:
自动关屏时间
HKCU\ControlPanel\BackLight\
"BatteryTimeOut" = 10
Then
另一种方法是在HKCU\ControlPanel\Power\
Display=25 改成自己想要的值
If there is not one, create it by yourself..
Well, it still happened today, so I think that rules out the g-alarm backlight setting. However, it worked fine most of the time, so intermittent.
Papasha, I think you could be onto something there, I do use MS live. Be a shame to lose the push mail though, but that's the next thing i'll try disabling if it recurs again.
Will try that too fishman if problem comes back, the backlight key is present but the display setting is not. Easily created though.
*post Updated on 28-1-10*.
The problem did start recurring again, so I tried the suggestion to disable the hotmail pushmail (sync items as they arrive) and that has definitely sorted the problem. As a very welcome side effect the phone suffers major slow downs far less now, if at all. I still use livemail but just set it to sync every 60 mins.
I had the very same problem on Note I (N7000) leaked Jelly Bean Rom, I thought that was a software bug of the leaked rom so I didn't bother much.
After getting the Note II, I'm still getting the problem. It seems random....I changed the settings on S Planner to start the week on Monday, and to show week number. Every now and then, it will revert back to "Locale Default" where each week starts on Sunday, and hides the week number. Notification ringtone will be reset too.
Has anyone encountered the same issue?

Yes same issue on SIII 4G same settings get reverted for me very annoying...
My Pixel 2 XL started soft rebooting multiple times a day over the last couple of weeks. I'm on stock Android Pie, with the 5 December 2018 security patch applied. I thought it was some weird WiFi or LTE bug in the city I was in over the holidays but it's persisted now I've left there and back on more familiar networks.
Sometimes it happens when I'm using it - the interface will freeze, brightness will turn up to max and then the launcher seems to crash and I get back to the "Unlock for all features and data" lock screen, without any crash message. Sometimes it happens on its own when the device is lying on a table - there's no real pattern to when or why it happens, seemingly. It can happen once or twice a day, or up to a dozen or so on bad days.
I've reset the cache of all non-system apps, and tried using it in safe mode. The problem still happens in safe mode.
Any suggestions for how to go about diagnosing and solving this, or should I look to RMA it with Google?
Sounds like the only thing you haven't tried is a factory reset which is what they'll suggest before an RMA anyway.

Mine was doing it for about 3 days last week. Seemed to have something to do with Bluetooth in my case. Haven't had it happen in a few days though.
Did a factory reset last night, and it hasn't fixed the problem; just got another reboot while it was lying on the desk at work. I'll going to turn off Bluetooth for a bit to see if that helps at all.
Edit: Just did it again after a couple of hours with Bluetooth off, so doesn't appear to be related to that either.
Then sounds like a hardware issue. Try getting an RMA at this point.

Spoke to support last night and they agree it needs RMA'd; unfortunately I'm working in Japan for the next few months and they never sold the 2XL on the Google Store here, so they can't get a me a replacement out here. Gonna need to wait a couple months until I get back to the UK to do the replacement. Hopefully it doesn't get much worse in that time...

This happened to me on my P2XL when I configured the AdGuard DNS as the private DNS on Android Pie. Once I changed that to other system wide DNS provider the soft reboots stopped.
I have the same problem last days. I had set up adquard too, I revert to automatic private dns to see if the problem is gone

@zamora.jc i confirm
2 days i delete AdGuard DNS and no problem

This seems to be it for me too! Thanks to both of you for suggesting it. I'd stupidly re-enabled that after my factory reset. Thanks for saving me the RMA.

Wow
Crazy!
Almost every Samsung android phone I've own has this problem after using it for a period of time. I've had the note 10+ since launch and the dreaded issue has return.
For some apps, I would tap the notification for the app. It would take a few minutes before the app will open.
Anyone has this issue?
I've had it on my note8, Note9 and now the note10+.
Hard reset will fix it but I don't want to reset and start again..
Continuation from note 8 thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/help/app-lag-clicking-notification-t3781356/page2
I don't have this issue.
Some people prefer to perform an hard reset as soon as they got the phone, before starting using it for the first time ; maybe they had some issues like yours at first, then wanted to avoid them.
Personally I didn't got any at first run.
That's odd, I have not experienced what you say in any of my samsung devices dating from my beloved S3 to this note10+
Yes..i am so confuse why it happens.. When the phone is new or just had a hard reset.. I don't have the issue.. Over time I always get it.
I also have this issue and it's incredibly annoying. Apps will take a full minute to open after being tapped on from the notifications banner. I too have had all but one Note product since the original (skipped the 2nd gen), but this is the first I can recall this issue happening. I'm also experiencing the issue of Google Play store apps getting stuck at 99% or 100% and not installing for 10 minutes or longer.
Is it all apps or certain apps only? Are you running stock or rooted? Exynos or Snapdragon? I haven't seen this issue shown up in a while, but have had it happen on Android devices in general in the past.

I don't have this issue, but as @dhorgas, more info would be helpful if it's a problem that can easily be fixed.
Two have the issue here, It could be a common app both of you are running.

It seems to be related to pendingIntent type notifications as if I tap a notifications that is a collapsed version of all the notifications, the app will load instantly. Have a look at this video I created:
(I didn’t include the tap showing on screen unfortunately, will attempt to do another video next time)
Initial tap was when the notification is collapsed for reolink and that will just open up the app. Happens instantly.
I close the app, expanded the notification and click on specific notification
The app doesn’t open until 8 minutes + later towards the end of the video.
Issue is happening across a fair few apps so I doubt it's common app..
I also have the issue of delayed notifications as discussed here:

Have the same issue with the play store. One way to speed it up is to force close play store... Then reopen it..
The app will redownload and should install this time.. Not always..
Quick update: Got fed up and did a factory reset and restored everything. Everything's working fine now. Obviously that's a last resort, but so far it's the only solution I've seen.

Yes.. It will fix it.. But it's temporary..
The issue won't happen straight away.. It takes a few weeks/months and will return.. It has happened to me from the note 8, note 9 and now note 10+.
Initially everything will be good and fast.. Then eventually issue will return..
So need to try to get to the root of it..

Hope the issue doesn't return for you.. It always returns for me..
I have been dealing with 3 issues in my phone:
-delayed notifications
-slow app opening when tapping notifications
-apps installation through play store delayed after download
So recent development, I have been following this thread on Samsung forums regarding delayed notifications
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...ting-all-range-of-Samsung/td-p/738070/page/28
Have tried all the fixes which has given minor relief..
But the last suggestion to disable dynamic lock on windows 10 seems to have fixed the issue for me. Early days but all 3 issues have not reoccured yet today.. Usually my Samsung reminders will not show until I reboot. But today been good so far.
Apps install instantly and apps open from notifications straight away..
Will report back in a few days if anything changes..

So ... did this do it? I've been dealing with this for a LONG time. My Note 8 started this crap after the 9 'upgrade', motivated me to get a new Note 10. A few months later, the SAME exact problem is cropping up.
Slow notification reactions, stuck installs, notifications coming in repeatedly, notifications coming in late all at once.
If this isn't resolved soon, my next phone will definitely not be a Samsung.

Yes, my issue is gone now. Try removing windows dynamic lock and unpair your phone from your laptop if you have this setup.
If not, try slowly removing other Bluetooth devices.
For me, a Bluetooth yeelock also caused the delay to return..I have to reboot each time after using the lock to get it back to normal.
I also think a plantronics desktop headset was also causing the issue as I was getting the lag everytime I reach home since removing windows dynamic lock. I have since unplugged it and unpaired. So far been good for a few weeks now.
I heard this issue wasn't specific to Samsung but might be an Android issue..i think it started with Android 9.0 as you have mentioned as I never had this issue when I was using the note 8 before one ui.. But note 9 and 10+ both had issues..
Similar issue mentioned on pixel phone support:

I don't have Dynamic Lock set up, nor do any of my computers have bluetooth enabled. BUT I do have this cursed Plantronics PLT W8200 series headset that has been nothing but buggy since I got it. Not surprised if this is the cause. I just unpaired it - fingers crossed.
I hope that's it because otherwise, it's just 2 other pretty crucial devices I have paired.

Would be good to hear if this fixes your issue. Please make sure you reboot after unpairing too and if possible completely unplug the plantronics as I think it might try to connect to your phone still (but fail) and potentially still bring the issue back as my yeelock doesn't even show up as a paired device, the app just sends msg to it via bluetooth and I still have delays after using it.

So after the weekend of having the Plantronics headset un-paired, it *seems* better. Hopefully it stays that way.
