If there are any Swype lovers like me out there, you may have noticed that after your updated to Jelly Bean your phone began slowing/freezing when using the Swype Beta keyboard. I had to keep rebooting my phone because it was freezing when I was trying to message friends.
It turns out that the Jelly Bean update includes a version of Swype (which I personally like better than the latest Swype Beta), and that this is the reason why my Swype was crashing.
You can go into your applications --> Swype Beta and tap Uninstall Updates to uninstall "Swype Beta" from pre-Jelly Bean and get onto Samsung's Swype that they included with the update.
Samsung's Swype has a slightly different key style and doesn't include the microphone key, which I like. It also runs a lot smoother than Swype Beta did.
One problem I noticed with the one that came on jb is that you can't download languages. Which is probably because swype doesn't support the older version anymore

I just recently flashed CM7 RC1 to my phone to try out some Gingerbread goodness. Overall I like it but i find myself not liking the new Gingerbread keyboard compared to the Froyo one. I tried using Titanium Backup to remove the Gingerbread keyboard and installing the Froyo keyboard apk but that just results in the keyboard FCing constantly. Is the Froyo keyboard just not compatible with Gingerbread or does anyone have any tips to get it working?
I have a rooted Evo running CM7 and i wanted to know if anyone had the HTC Evo Keyboard with the nav keys? Also i have the swype.apk from OTA 3.70 but it crashes does anyone know how to fix that? I tried using the swype keyboard from the latest beta but it does not work whenever i swype i hear that stupid tone but no text appears (i even tried to swype "as") but if i type "a" "s" then it works bt swyping does not. Does anyone else have that issue?
I don't know about AOSP ROMs, but I know that in most Sense ROMs you can download the stock keyboard with the navigation arrows. My spouse and I both run myn's Warm TwoPointTwo (RLS5). However, she wanted the stock keyboard and I downloaded it from myn's thread. Check to see if the thread for your ROM has this optional download.
If you want swype, you need to grab libSwypeCore.so as well from the OTA and push it to /system/lib.

Hi, is there any way to switch to the stock gingerbread keyboard instead of this sense one? I just updated to gingerbread and I don't want to install the market one since it's already built in.
Just install the one from the market, I don't see a reason not to do it if you want it...
Is there a way to get Swype on MIUI
Hi, i have a htc one x with cyanogenmod 10 and i wanted to put the new jelly bean camera working. I have tried a lot of apk and flashable zips but they didn't work well. The one I have installed right now is working, but it is allways crashing and have lots of errors including the photosphere... is there any stable version?
CM10 is not based on 4.2, it's not surprising that installing a system app designed for a different version of android is causing problems.

4.2 camera is available out there but I don't recommend using it as its not stable at all , it keeps FC and the gallery that comes with camera isnt stable also , the only stable feature available from 4.2 is the keyboard , so I highly recommend having fun with 4.1.2 and wait for a developer to release stable 4.2 version for our lovely HOX
