The 4.2 clock widget looks absolutely horrible, I wonder why didn't they make it into a selection between which widget you want.
Anyways, is it possible to get the pre-4.2 clock widget on 4.2? It completely ruined my home screen at the moment. Or is there an app on Play Store that includes it?
The old one did not have that horrible circle around it, the new one does. It looked really good on my wallpaper before, but now I cannot select the one without the ring anymore.
You can modify the apk to show the old png files or look in play store for some ics clock widgets

Thanks! There indeed is ICS Analog Clock Widget in Play Store

There's nothing wrong with the look of the analog clock to me, its the hideous digital clock on the lockscreen that really looks awful.
What on earth is with this half gargantuan, bold font; absolutely dreadful

Even worse, they allow you to resize the widget to 2x1 (which is the size it should be, 2x2 is mostly wasted space) but at that size, the date text on the bottom is cut off!
Oh you meant the ICS clock by pre-4.2 clock. I love the new clock too It's so simple and sleek!
Get it from Play Store.

...and then set transparent shortcuts for the app drawer, phone, and settings on top of it.
You can use "Fancy Widget" as the clock, it's identical to the stock HTC clock.
You can also use Pure Messenger, Calender, and Music widgets with the Sense themes that come with them to replace the other HTC widgets.
I did change the system font, so the weather info on the clock will look a little different, but you get the idea.

Not sure why . But to each there own..
this one i seen a few days ago .. but search play.google.com you will find many more

I think he probably means metro. Launcher 7 doesn't scale very well, so I guess I'm looking for one too.

I like how it says "Windows 8 PC HD" and yet it uses elements from XP (background) and icons from Vista/7. Not even worthy of $0.99...
But yea I too think the op meant Modern UI (Metro is deprecated), which, would seem "interesting" on an actual touchscreen in my opinion.
best bet would be to use another launcher to increase the desktop grid, find/make the icons you want and use desktop visualizer to mimic the W8 layout..
another option is to actually create a wallpaper with the layout you want on it and then overlay desktop visualizer widgets over parts of the wallpaper. Here's some old wallpapers i used on my old Aria using this method. Maybe it'll help you to get an idea.

multipicture livewallpaper in conjunction with the above methods and can also be used if you want to use dif images per desktop and to tweak the desktop "page turn" animation
Holy crap dude that looks good!!! Desktop visualizer confuses me lol can't figure it out
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
haha thanks.
It isn't too difficult once you figure it out. Essentially its just a resizable launchers. You set an app/action to launch and an image for said action.
In the case of the photos above, the icons and everything are actually part of the wallpaper image. DV is used just to overlay the areas of the wallpaper that I want to be a button, set the widget to open the app portrayed on the wallpaper then the image is just a transparent png.
in the case of attempting a Windows 8 theme, you could basically grab a W8 screenshot trimmed to your desired resolution, overlay a DV widget over the individual launcher icons on the wallpaper, set an app to open and use a transparent image.
I use Font Installer to get different fonts on my phone, but I hate that most of the clock/weather widgets don't change to match it, since they have set themes and they're own font styles to choose from. Any good clock & weather widgets that will change font with the rest of my phone?
Weatherbug.

I added some of the widgets to show you. Nothing spectacular but it does change.
Also there is another I use that does it... I'll find it and let you know..

So if I were to change my phones font, would the widget change to that also?

UCCW is also a good app. It has deep customization. You can basically make your own clock.

Beautiful widgets and Fancy widgets, on both the font changes. Sometimes depending on the font it won't fit correctly, but usually do.

eWeather HD from Elecont will change font same as your phones font.
Also you can customise font size, font color, iconstheme, clock type (analog or digital), background color, background transparency etc
I rooted my DINC2 just a few days ago and switched to unofficial CM9. It seems like a great stable ROM and I doubt I will return to anything Gingerbread. But......I sure miss my digital clock on the front of my phone. The analog clock just doesn't do it for me, It looks like there is no analog clock wiget. Does anyone know how to get a digital clock instead of the analog clock on the front menu using this ROM?
If you want a sense one just search HTC sense clock wig it in play store

If you don't mind spending a little time...You can get UCCW and make a clock look like whatever you want. If you just want the HTC style clock, you'll have to do what the previous poster did.
If you go in the screenshots thread and look at my latest screen shot I have one that has a large digital clock among other things. I'm willing to share it, but you'll need UCCW to use it and/or modify it to your likes.
Thanks so very much. I have a great digital clock installed and it is like having an upgraded phone.

As for getting a buck....I got a nice antelope, a cow elk (nothing much to look at but better eating than a bull)...... and still have a couple deer to go!
Looks good. And way to go with the hunt. It's been way too long since I've had elk.
Many of you having been asking me to post some flashable zips of the RAZR M launcher I modded for CSROM.
Well, I finally got off my lazy butt and did it (sorry for the delay!).
The launcher is from a different device (Motorola RAZR M) and different Android version (ICS), so there is a little lag.
But that is a small price to pay for the awesome circle widget!
There are currently two versions available: with and without the persistent search bar.
While I was able to remove the search bar, I have not yet been able to recover the real estate.
Six other apps are installed which are required to make the circle widget fully functional.

I know this may not be possible but I was just wondering is there a way you could possibly combine all the components of the clock widget into one zip file so one could just flash the clock instead of the whole launcher?
