Is there a way to play videos from the epic to a tv screen or monitor through the headphone jack, using vga cables? I have an adapter. I played a movie on my phone and tried running it to my tv, and my tv didnt pickup any signal from my phone.

This is always such a sore spot for me. Pre release I noted the 9000 doing this in a youtube and it pushed me over the edge. Litterally vid out was the only feature missing... n then there was that eternal "we are almost there" thread that kept the coals of feature desire long burning...then fizzle with no pop. On the same topic the usb to hdmi adapter also no workie. Sheeeeiiiittt toook em a lifetime to get the soujnd redirected on the oem dock accessory.
Dlna is such a loose standard that everyone does it different....for such a multimedia phone I still think there is not a great solution for this.

my hd tv doesnt support sound so what I think to do is
conect the hdmi from galaxy s3 to the hdmi input in tv
and use the 3.5 jack, sound output in galaxy s3 to the input 3.5 jack in tv
will it work??
lets say I play a movie will it "do" two outputs in the same time hd and sound?
couls someone try it please

Why not buy the cables and try it yourself. 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable is like $4

It will work. I have done that with a monitor and headphones.

Huh? Never seen this. But yes it should work as long your tv will accept the HPJ audio while displaying HDMI.

I suppose I could buy another controller but I also thought there were some apps out there to discover and config controllers.

Logitech has lots of them.
You can also plug a usb hub into most devices and use a usb keyboard/mouse.
