Use a ps3 controller like me or try a Moga?

I suppose I could buy another controller but I also thought there were some apps out there to discover and config controllers.

I've seen it done with other phones, and the app from the market claims it doesn't work with "most HTC phones" seeing as how I tried this and it failed, anyone know of a way?

Yeah idk about a ps3 controller but it would probably be better than a wiiremote. They got cheap bt controllers that would probably work too, if you were interested in that adriandude85
You should be able to with a cable for Bluetooth pairing and an app to pair it like sixaxis controller from the play store. A sense ROM may not have the Bluetooth features. The app developer has tested that it works on ICS on the nexus at least. See if there's USB otg (on the go) for dinc.

From my understanding, using a Ps3 controller will work both aosp and sense.
You need an app I can't remember the name though..
You can connect through a cable that matches both ends to each device or use a computer to pair it through blue tooth.

I will have to try one of those cables then, the app from the market I used was Sixaxis Controller and that didn't do it.

Claims my phone isn't supported
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda app-developers app
I see that the nexus 7 can now support a wireless 360 controller. I know its a combination of OTG with a wireless receiver. Does our phone have OTG support and if so can it use this same method? Currently waiting on the 32GB Nexus 7 but would love to be able to use a 360 controller with my phone to play games with till then.
The s2 natively supports the PS3 controller. If you have the old Xbox 360 wired controller it's easily connected via otg and an app from the market. Just search the app. I'm not sure what wireless technology the Xbox controller uses but if it's Bluetooth I'm certain there is a way to connect it.

Yes simply plug in a otg cable then attach your ps3 controller and you're off! Or download sixaxis controller and change the controller Bluetooth master address and connect wirelessly

+1 for this thread!
According to Wikipedia the wireless 360 controller uses a propriety 2.4 ghz wireless standard. Both the Wii and the ps3 both use Bluetooth sooooo basically a unique form of rf kinda like cordless phones and whatnot......

So looks like you're only able to use the corded one. This makes sense cause my friends WiFi cuts out when playing Xbox.

Hmmm guessing I'd need some sort of adapter to run a wired one?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Just a USB-OTG (On The Go) adapter. They run ~$5 online. MicroUSB on one end, female full USB on the other.
Then plug in the controller, it flashes all four lights, and just works. You may need to set up the emulator to map the buttons and D-Pad. I've only used it on a N64 emulator.

Lots of games have built in support for controllers like that, but I don't believe Grand Theft Auto specifically does. Otherwise : if you root and use something like "sixaxis controller" from the Play store, you can have it even emulate touch events and work with any game, with a little setting up.

Yes the PS3 controller does work with Grand Theft Auto.
Here's a list of games that will work with the PS3 Controller:

Hi everyone, today I tried to connect my wii controller to my note 3, no luck! The app that I used and sadly bought says that is not compatible with TouchWiz UI :/ is there any other way to connect it? Thanks
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
That would be very interesting if it was to work with our phones, what app did you try using?
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda premium
This one! And it says that it can work on any UI but not TouchWiz, why? Dont know and haven't tried yet because i haven't rooted my phone yet.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
Oh that one I thought you were talking about the wii u gamepad. Yea don't think it's possible on our phones unless it works on cm based roms which you would need to root your phone to try.
Think your only option is to get another 3rd party controller that doesn't require root like moga (or just google android bluetooth gamepad support) I always preferred six axis ps3 controller but that also requires root.
