It seems that Dealextreme provides large amount of battery here: http://dx.com/s/galaxy+battery .
I get to know it when i was looking for a battery for my phone. It fits perfectly and wont cause problem expect exploding but thats fine.

define exploding.

I've bought 2 off eBay and have been using for 5 months with 0 issues. No matter what battery I use the original or eBay 1 I get same battery life

Help. global direct parts t959v battery

So I ordered the oem t959v batteries 3 for about 60usd and want to confirm what others received when they ordered the same.
The batteries I received states 1500mah and the sticker is not applied as tightly as my vibrant battery. It lifts a little so the sticker now is bent.
I was under the impression that t959v was a 1600mah battery so please let me know if I should send back or not.

Did anyone else order the same? Please let he know what you received! Thanks

They aren't Vibrant 4G batteries, those are 1650mAH batteries. Global Direct is aware they're selling lesser batteries, and will work with you to "fix" the problem for you, but only if you complain.
Sent from my rough sketch of a Vibrant on a brick.
I also ordered 3 batteries and all three were 1500mah. They will work with you to correct the problem but most-likely you will have to pay for return shipping.
account question
what do you use as tax id to set up new account with globaldirectparts?
Should just get the 1800 mah battery for 20 bucks

Not sure why anyone would get any other battery. I use these, they're excellent, and fit perfectly. Every non-OEM battery I've tried gives me hell in one way or another, and 1500mAh just didn't cut it, so the 1800mAh batteries are the only way to go.

Ive had Hyperion batteries before and they seem to hold up very well, unlike those cheap chinese batteries that you get on ebay these actually last through the night
Edit:
Batteries do not have NFC!

i'd probably trust the tech specs.
Probably a good option as I can vouch for Hyperion as well.
Folks should be aware, though, that these batteries do not have NFC.
Oh yea ill edit no NFC, but than yet again i dont know any aftermarket batteries that use NFC so yeah lol
Mine shipped today, ill give yall details on it when i receive it
No real need to be a third party battery at this point Verizon is offering half on on the extended battery $25 and normal batteries for $20. They have NFC

I bought the verizon extended battery (I also want to keep NFC). I would like to get a cheap charger but cant seem to find any with just the charger.
They have some on ebay but its 30$ with 1 battery. but its better to get the one in the link i posted above
I'd love to buy the GSM version, but the link posted in the OP isn't working
The link in the OP is working but these batteries are currently out of stock.
Maybe you try it later or order from eBay?
Currently they cost 25$ but shipping to Canada costs aditionally 15$.

My uncle lives in the US and he can always send it here so shipping isn't an issue. Thanks for the reply though.
Does anyone know when they will be getting more?
EDIT: They received stock for the GSM version. I'll probably be buying this ASAP.
EDIT2: Didn't buy them, as I think I'll need NFC.

Anyone have the link to the $25 extended battery from Verizon? I would like to compare it to the one in the OP.

Extended battery questions

Since the GNexus has NFC, any suggestions on an extended battery? I've heard the battery isn't too great (especially on the version one) but I plan on getting the HSPA+ one. Or do all the extended batteries for the GN come with NFC?

Check in the Accessories Forum, I remember a very good (& informative) thread about extended batteries in there.
P. S. There's a bunch of extended battery threads in there, just had a look.

If it comes through the carrier, it should have nfc
I have experience dealing with extended batteries in that I've owned several Android phones which all had sh*tty batteries. To be honest, the way to go is normally the cheap Chinese-made ones you can find on Amazon or eBay. I've had a lot of luck with those (and even if you don't have luck with them, they only cost $5-$10 or so) and ordering more is always easy. I just ordered 2 for my Gnex and it should arrive tomorrow. Go to Amazon or eBay and search for 3500mah extended battery w/ NFC and SOMETHING will come up. For reference, I just ordered the Onite 3500mah w/NFC from Amazon. Good luck! If you have any questions ask away!

Anyone buy an extended battery for their gsm sgn?

I mean from say the verizon corporate store? Or maybe best buy?
How many hours does it add overall?
Yes of course people have bought Extended batteries for their GSM model. But you are not going to find them in a Verizon store or Best Buy.....or any physical store really. You will have to order from a third-party such as on Ebay or Expansys (Though after waiting a month for mine, I don't recommend them) I use my phone regularly, but not crazy like some users here and I can easily get a day and a half of use before having to plug in.

Thanks, but I see alot of those rated as just being 2000mah? Thats only 250mah more than the stock battery. I'll probably get 10 extra minutes with that? I dont mean to carry as a spare but to use as a replacement.

That is the OEM extended battery. I'll say you'll get 15-20% more life.
If you want to go crazy you can get something like Seido's or Qcells.

I have the gsm extended battery and it needs a new battery door. (A new battery door comes with it) The battery life is marginally better

I have the gsm 2000 mAh and I initially thought it wouldn't last much longer than the stock one but instead you really do, in my opinion, get that 15-20% extra battery time! I am very satisfied with it. With normal use (checking emails, sms, whatspp, rss reader) I was able to get 3 and a half hours of screen on time!

I'm sure some have tried. Imagine their disappointment when they learned the hard way that a battery meant for the lte phone will not fit a gsm model.

I have the 2000mAh extended battery and it's pretty good. You get about 15% more battery life which is not too shabby for the price and the very small amount of bulk and weight it adds to your phone. It actually feels better in my hands with the extended battery.
If you're using a case, you may have some issue fitting it with the extended battery. Some cases are made for the extended battery but they're not as common as the standard cases. It's a non-issue if you roll with a naked GNex like me.
Vzw and Sprint extended batteries do not fit into gsm GNs.
Ebay has a lot of sellers from Korea selling the real oem version for the gsm model.

I would agree with this. The extended battery and cover just makes it a little thicker and fits nicely in your hands.

Hi! lorddavid . I also habe been using a Samsung SII 4G battery. It a little fat, but it close the cover. (in my opinion, dont use this battery because broke the cover).
I don't know abut galaxy s i9000. I would have to buy a long duration battery I wild try something like this:

Yes, I see that battery before, but I want something that fit in the original size :/
Has anybody confirmed if this will work yet? For under $7 and having over 50% better battery life than stock, attracts me. Let me know if anyone has tried it and it works.

I bought one of them extended batteries off ebay today then found out when I got home that were upgrading next weekend. Since I'm getting the htc one it was a $12 waste.

When my battery was dying I tried my brother's battery from his galaxy S i9000. It was just 1500mAh (instead of the original 1650), but I can confirm it fits in the glide and works as well.
Wow! Perfect then I am going to buy a gold battery of the galaxy s i900 to use it with my glide

Galaxy S batteries are 1500ma where the glide's stock battery is 1750ma. Both work fine but of course 1500 is slightly less then 1750 so be advised you may be getting slightly less battery life from it.

I am not going to buy the stock battery, I will buy one of that gold battery of 2430.
Tell us if it work please . Thanks!!!!

Yeah, but will take a long time, because I live in CA, so, I must buy in ebay and then someone will send to me
I bought one of the 2430mAh gold batteries from eBay for $5.60 and I think they're definitely worth the money. Actually just bought another one as a backup for $5.
About the performance: I left it at home for the day, so with very little use (cpu time: ~75% deep sleep, <10% at highest speed) I get more than 26 hours out of it, about 30-50% more than my previous 1800mAh battery. I imagine if you use a Juice Defender like program to turn off your data connection most of the time you might get a result close to this with normal use.

My glide's stock battery is 1650 mA. If I had to use a non glide battery, i will use a SII 4G battery, is a pretty fat, but it fit. It is 1800mA.

I got the two 1960mAh (says "Sporting Persistence" on the label) and an external battery charger for about $20 on ebay more than 6 months ago. Batteries are exactly the same size as the original. Best $20 I spent for the phone single charge last all day during work, not heavy use, making/receiving calls, texts, checking emails, quick Google search.
i9000 Gold Battery on the glide?
Hey,
Has anybody tried one of these?
ebay[.]com/itm/400387942024?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
I am thinking of buying a couple of these as the original one doesn't even last 7 - 8 hours. From what i have read here on the forums i9000 batteries fit the captivate glide perfectly..right?
Thanx
Well, i got myself a epic 4g replacement. It does fits perfectly but the battery itself is pretty bad. Battery Monitor widget is approximating 400-600Mah as opposite to 1720Mah of original. But than again for 3$ what can you expect?
Stii awaiting feed-back for some of those gold batteries. So far i heard mixed opinions: wither they're quite good either crap.
Too Fat!
I got a Sporting Persistence 1960 MaH battery but it's thicker than the stock battery and the cover does not fit with it.
UPDATE - I contacted them and they sent a free replacement that's perfectly sized and works well!
