I am currently running CM10, October 18 nightly, and I wanted to know if there is a way to change the contact photo for yourself. I have a contact in my phone with the phone's # linked to my GMail and Facebook, however it doesn't link.
Thanks in advance.

You need to update to a current rom to get any support.

Alright, I'm new to CM10, do you have to update the rom to the latest nightly build every day until a stable on is available?

Well, if you want support you should. If you don't expect support you can use the most stable one you can find. I suggest updating, although stable will be available today probably. I think it is being compiled right now.

It isn't guys, it's me. My point was, if it was a bug he needs to be updated. He might have also learned something as he is now on a newer build and knows that he needs to keep up to date. It seems as if it worked after he updated too, so I am pretty sure he did need to update.

This is just a port of the updated and modded Slim Bean from CDMA. It was initially a GSM ROM, then Curtis1973 ported it to CDMA and updated it and made it better. I did a CDMA to GSM conversion of it because it has less bugs and is faster, and themed as well.

I hoped U say me some things that will make me thinking about trying that re-newed Slim Bean You're same user as me and many people... we just may have some diffrent opinions about some things
Random reboot solved??
No random reboots on cdma end,the soft reboot is not really a bug but just how slim bean works. Moving apps to sd card causes the soft reboot, after soft reboot you can connect to usb. If you do not want a soft reboot, dont move apps to sd card. Ive looked for a possible way to stop the reboot but every thread ive read states its just how this version of slim bean works.

I see no reason why you guys cant get updates. From here forward the only updates will be something that can easily be dropped right into the gsm version. When I do an update I will let you guys know and add a link to the files needed to add to your saved download.

There's many apps that can change font (on my old SE X8 I was using Blade font ), but you have to find and download font that you wish to apply
Yeah I searched some of the apps in play store. But was shocked to see some of the reviews as they bricked their phones by using those softwares. So little hesitated.

Soft reboot is known and I can't work on it because I have school today. To chnage the font just add the CM10 fonts folder.

These are the few bugs I've come across so far with the Gummy 12/12/13 nightly ROM
When I hit the menu button and then try to hit settings, it does nothing. I have to go to the physical settings app.
Stock calendar app doesn't sync with my Google account.
That's all I really have right now.

That has been available since November 14th?....
The best advice I can give you is that the new Gummy ROM is a work in progress. It's new. It's going to have bugs like this. All the 4.4 ROMs are having oddball issues like this. If you don't want to deal with this stuff the best option is to wait a month or so for these kinks to be ironed out and use a stable 4.3 ROM in the mean time.
Hello everyone I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.I would like to know who handles the updates for the CM version of the phone. Is it Oppo or the CM team? Will there be OTA updates or do we have to manually download and install?
Thanks in advance.

CM will handle the CM version. Oppo will supply updates to their software, but CM will handle the actual ROM itself.
Right now there's only one build released. I have a new build that I'm checking out now, but it's still on 10.2. We should see CM11 very soon, and I predict that it will come with the official Google software built in, so there won't be a need to flash gapps. I might be wrong about that, but I think that's how it will work.
I'll post the link for the update very soon in the correct section.

Software should be coming out tomorrow, can't wait.
Cyanogenmod does have their new CM Installer software for Windows and Android. If you're not familiar with fastboot, installing recoveries, and all that....it may be the easier way to go....in fact, I'm curious to try it myself.
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/oppo-n1-cyanogenmod,25495.html
I am more interested to see how this will work not only for the N1 but for future CM phones.
Imo if they want to go official they should provide the stable versions OTA to begin with.

I'm fairly certain that CM11 won't have included gapps until an official "stable" release occurs.
Only the released version of 10.2 has been approved by Google.

I'm talking about the official build of CM11. Steve Kondik has informed me that the build is almost ready to roll. They're just waiting on a few last details... Which I assume is the inclusion of gapps.

All People Update CM. there is the cm-11-20140724-NIGHTLY
First update to the latest nightly in CM page, after that you can update via OTA in your phone, there is Daily updates!!
O-Click, Works, meaby a second lag (while focusing?)
O-Touch Works, not as the touchpad of your lap but works, And for some reason changing the VM to ART works better for me.
3G works
Battery last very good, and its suposed to las more in stand-by if you use ART instead of Dalvik
ART works well by the way.
Many people who have bought phones from the US and are using them outside of US, are having problems with connecting to the Wifi. For me it started to happen on OGP after Jan 21, 2014 CM11 nightlies.
A workaround was to check anyone of the countries in the settings>wifi>advanced> Region codes. Problem was that this region code would not persist after a reboot and you would have to go through the settings again.
The reason for this problem is the change in code in the MccTables in system>framework> telephony-common.jar which queries the SIM for the locale and since the locale codes in the SIM do not match the Wifi codes in the MccTables, the region does not persist as a permanent entry.
All credits to the dev who figured this out in the HTC sensation Forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2368501
The method that this dev has posted is based on adding a line in the MccTables which skips the locale checking from the SIM during startup and so the Wifi is able to scan the available networks and connect to the desired one.
The telephony-common.jar is slightly different in different custom roms, therefore we need to patch this file for the individual Roms.
Attached below are the zip files which can be flashed in recovery right after flashing the rom if on a new installation or can be flashed at any time on an older installation in which case after reboot it stops for a while at android is upgrading and then boots normally into the rom.
March 19,2014
Added new Version for newer CM11 nightlies
Note: A wiki page on this problem also provides a lot of insight into this problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/WiFi_regional_problem_on_Android#CyanogenMod_based_ROM
Note: The CM11 patched file works on the Mokkee nightlies as well.
March 25 Note: Added zip for new versions of Commotio Rom
Hope this helps the poor sods like me who have been stuck with this problem for a while now.
A word of caution. Make a Nandroid and flash at your own risk

The flashing zip package that I used is an old vr theme package. It just says that its theming when actually it is replacing the required file in the system>framework.
The rationale for using this workaround is that if we keep flashing the old kernel we would miss out on all the new changes that are incorporated in every build.
You don't want to be left happy with an old kernel on a spanking new build.

Hey it isn't that bad. We flash the rom, gapps, sometimes supersu, so flashing another zip is not going to mess up your whole day.
The reality is that any workaround this problem would involve some work. You can't complain at a simple process which rids you of a problem which cannot be solved in any other way and gets you to enjoy the finest and brightest of latest kernel/rom development.
BTW the only other way to get out of this mess is to go to the US and get an AT&T connection.LOL

Not all phones have this problem and also a lot of custom rom devs apply this patch directly in their roms.
I have an S3, S4, HTC One, Note 2, S2 Skyrocket, Nexus4 and none of them have this problem. Even on OGP this problem started from CM11 Jan 22, 2014 build. The Jan 21st build flashes without this issue.
Flashable zip added for new Commotio Rom Nightlies
Any chance to apply the patch to a stock rooted rom?

My only guess is the maintainer is on vacation or had an emergency of some sort.
The latest build is pretty decent IMO. We will just have to wait and see when an update comes. It will come most likely. They could be trying to iron out major bugs they overlooked or something. We just have to wait and see what happens.

Actually, I always try to build it locally and it's is broken. It says 'touchpanel_sysfs is undefined'.
I realize that it's in these 3 files, which gets generated during compilation (I guess)
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy_intermediates/policy.conf
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy_intermediates/policy.conf.dontaudit
cm12.1/out/target/product/e980/obj/ETC/sepolicy.recovery_intermediates/policy_recovery.conf
After defining the variable, the compilation went smooth and I got the build. BUT my phone would not boot with it. I had to roll back to the previous working build.
So, I'm guessing it's nothing to do with any major change or update.
Anyways, if anyone could build the latest code and get it working on their phone, I'm very much interested in knowing how
