Hey boys ans girls.
I jsut installed a ROM here for the N-7100 and it obviously didn't work because I have the SGH-I317M version for Canada.
I'm glad to see that this morning I could get a ROM that would work with the AT&T version, so that means it could get back on track my note II. Unfortunatly I keep having the same issue which is everytime I try to access the mobile networks tab I get the "Insert SIM card" message.
I thought it might be the sim card itself that was defective but I just went at Bell get a fresh one.. same problem.

Problem solved, need a proper Banseband, I tried the one made for Roger, even if I'm with Bell. It worked.

I turned my phone on yestetday lunchtime (4/7/2013) and once it had booted I had an onscreen message sayong that an update had download and was ready to install. I chose the "later" option, went to settings>about device>software update, and it said the same thing. I installed it, thinking it might be JB 4.2.2, but once it had installed there was nothing different about my phone and it is still running 4.1.2. When ever I search for it I keep getting french and greek websites, the fact that I cant find an english site or explanation is rather unnerving.
I am running an un rooted S3, from U.K t-mobile.

Sounds like you simply got the latest official update for your phone/carrier. They are rolled out in waves, usually by location.
And just fyi, you are in the wrong forum. You have an international GS3. This is only for the US T999 variants. Aside from what I just told you, you probably won't be able to get much more info from here.
And definitely DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING you find here! Itll brick your phone! (Not yelling at you, just emphasizing the importance).

Hello, from the look of your baseband, it seems like you have the international model (I9300). I would suggest you asking about it in the Q&A over there instead, since they would be more familiar with the phone and services associated with your phone.

tried writing IMEI from nspro and still doesnt work!
it keeps auto booting when im not in download mode
when i click the *#9090# service mode. it is blank, *#7284# UART is on modem. USB on PDA DM+MODEM+AB
What did you do last before this happened, im guessing you flashed a modem from another carrier. Really have to give as much details as possible.

You need to look in the thread for your phone, this is for the Sprint version. I'm not familiar with anything for the international version so I won't be able to help.
Hey everyone i bought this S4 mini from kijiji and it was locked to a Canadian carrier virgin mobile. So i got it unlocked (by buying an unlock code) and i am trying to use chatr (cell phone carrier) here in Canada. When i go into search for mobile networks it does show me "chatr" and it does say registered on network but i am not able to make any calls because its always on "Emergency calls only". I have tried all the settings and i have also factory resetted the phone but still no luck. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the sim card as it works n the other phone. Also sim slot seems to be fine as well since it was asking for the unlock code. Please let me know if i need to flash the phone or what can i do to it to make it work. Sorry i am not that tech savvy. My phone is Unlocked. and rooted.
I have straighttalk service and i ported my number to this device, I have tried using an AT&T SIM card and a T-Mobile SIM card both provided by straight talk. Neither one of them get service what so ever. My old phone gets full bars. (My old phone is Straight Talk throu Verizon CDMA)
Now My question is:
Does the Note2 not work because my ported number is comming from Verizon CDMA?
and If i buy an activation card and create a completely new account on the Note. Will it work?
My service ends on 2/10/2015 8 Days away. And i need to know if a new account with work or should i just change to a different prepaid provider.

APNs are set wrong maybe? If you search APN you may find ideas. I have never manually set them myself.
Have you tried any other ROMs? Some have different APN settings that might work.
