If I do hard work with my phone or enter some apps when I press home button.I wait for widgets loading [3or 5 sec] and enter apps list I wait for 3 or 4 sec.it won't happen on my friends s3.why it happen.because of ram or CPU it can happen when 150 Mb free ram and it can won't happen on 50 Mb ram.I think it happen cuz of CPU.how to solve it I just use amop and nova launcher.
Sorry for bad English

thats a problem with most launchers on our phone, some launchers solved by locking the home in memory or caching every this (like launcher 7 or launcher pro). Go Launcher somehow solved this problem without anything. i've been using Go launcher for quiet a while because i have tried many launchers and they all have this. and if you want the ics look you can download a Go launcher theme or customize your own.
You can try using "V6 Supercharger" script.

I use GO Launcher EX, When I open IGO it works very slow.
Anybody seen this problem before and know how to solve this?
IGO UI it's just slow. I don't think GO Launcher is the reason. Try Sygic Aura. It's better choice for me,and definitely smooth and eye candy interface ...

+1 for that. I have iGo, and it is slow regardless which launcher I am using. I tried Go Launcher, TouchWiz and classic Gingerbread launcher.

GO Launcher definitely the problem because when I start IGO from launcherpro plus it works faster.
GO Launcher is little heavy with all this Widgets (if you use them) ... Maybe free RAM is not enough ...

I was happy after the installation of Go Launcher, since it allowed me to put more icons on the home screen. But now I cannot lock the phone. Went into Settings.......Lock screen......Screen lock..... to set it up (works fine with the Samsung default launcher), but it will not work with the Go Launcher. What am I missing? Thanks guys
Well your first problem is that your using Go Launcher. Its a RAM hog. Try Nova launcher. Its much much lighter and is designed to run specifically with android 4.0 and up. Your issues should disappear.

Solution:
I had a similar problem when first using Go Launcher. You CAN lock the screen though, but inconveniently; not via the 'logical' TW settings route:
1.First, ensure that you have Go locker installed.
2. From the Go Launcher homescreen, select the menu.
3. Swipe across until u see Go Locker icon and select.
4.Then, press menu soft key again ( u will see go locker menu).
5.Scroll down to the security tab and you will see options for the security lock
6. (Optional) Sit back, sigh and ask yourself why the [email protected]!! they didnt integrate this app into TW more.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:good:
Hey guys, I'm using these great apps to replace my launcher and lockscreen.
The problem is: Eventually, when I push the home button and unlock my device, all icons are gone for a few seconds (as if the launcher was restarting). I don't know what is going on and didn't found anything on google.
Does anyone know what is causing this? Any tips?
I know it's probably Holo Locker's fault, but it would be nice to fix that without having to remove it.

Sounds like a launcher redraw, I don't know holo locker but in apex you got an option to keep it in memory to reduce those redraws. Maybe try it.

I have found the option, I'll give a try.
Thanks
It definitly sounds like launcher redraw. It happened to me very often on my SGSI. Normally after using an app the steals lots of ram or one that stores alot in the cache memory.
U should spend 4$$ on the go launcher holiday special, its a lightweight version of normal go launcher ex witch also includes go locker integrated and it is only 4.7 mb.
A lot of the additional crap from go launcher is gone, but still customizable with themes-text color-icon size-etc..it is so fast, smooth and stable..really a joy to use IMO..

The reason for I never got Go Launcher is because imo it's way customized. And I like the look and feel of the stock android from nexus. But thanks for the tip, I'll watch some videos to see how it is...

It is slimmed down about 40%.I personally think that to much crap is filled in free go launcher ex,but the holiday edition is so fast and stable.the reviews on play store is amazing,I mean ppl can't/ won't read OP and also don't uninstall their free go launcher and go locker before installing the paid one.go locker is integrated in the paid version.and ofcause u can not restore your settings from free launcher as this is a completely different launcher, but so what it takes max 30 min to set up your app/widgets on homescreen,if u really have cramped up your homescreens..
Refund it within 15min,I do that quite often if I don't like the apps I just purchased.
Yandex.Shell Launcher is the best featured and shiny look launcher that there is for android (in my opinion ) and it based on the developers work of SPB SHELL Launcher. Till now it was available only for russian users, but from today its expands worldwide, and all of you can enjoy it also!!! its free

If u want less consumption of ram.. Use smart launcher.. It uses only 20 mb of ram. It automatically arranges application according to specific category....
From galaxy grand AMCD stock firmware..
Smart launcher ui is not good .

Mega 5.8 launcher will have 7x7 touchwiz I guess
If u want to customize your grand.......then use NEXT LAUNCHER 3D
and if u want to use other phone themes..........then use NOVA LAUNCHER OR APEX LAUNCHER
thus they use less space and ram
Press thanks if you like my advice
Use Vire launcher if you want a natively compiled launcher with no lag

Next launcher consumes more ram and cpu.. Drains more battery... Its not advisable... Nova prime and apex launchers are good because of availability of more themes.. And average ram consumption
From galaxy grand AMCD stock firmware..
I use holo launcher hd, highly customisable and only 16-18 mb of ram consumption.
I've just downloaded zeam launcher and nemus launcher, they are said to be very ram friendly so I wanna try them and see if they are better than holo hd.
Zeam launcher is very light, I use to have it on my previous devices.

I've tried it yesterday, it uses the same amount of ram than holo launcher hd, but it's less customisable.
I've tried nemus as well but it's very ram thirsty.
So I came back to holo hd...

Hi everyone, I just bought my g pro for about a week now n I discovered a very annoying problem!
I m currently using nova launcher, it's very smooth except when some kind of apps being installed and running. I dunno how to name this kind of apps. These apps are for example sidebar, swapps, floating notification, glovebox, swipe home or even the Facebook messenger chat head. When these apps re activated, the launcher will lag in home screen, but when u open the other apps or the app drawer, they re actually smooth, the lag will only exist in home screen. It is not only in nova launcher cut also other launcher even the lg launcher..
Do u guysn hv this problem?
How can i solve that?
Sorry for my bad English but reli need some help

I dont have any lag at all on stock launcher. Possibly you could clear the cache and resolve this. Or a factory reset. On some androids ive even heard of pulling the battery to do a hard shutdown has given desirable effects when having lag problems though I dont know why that would work. Hope you get it solved.
Not only me having this problem but my friend too
He is not using the g pro buy instead gk
So I think it maybe a rom bug
