Hey guys I have a sgh-t889v Canadian model note 2 and I flashed a T-Mobile rom on it.
Now the problem is, I can't hear anyone who calls from an iPhone unless I turn speakers on. If I turn off speakers after
that they hear them self back when they talk.
Any help on this will be appreciated. It would also be helpful if someone has a stock sgh-t889v ROM or a Nandroid backup I can use.
Thank you very much!
anyone?

My turn, my turn, ready?
This is a feature of the Note 2!!!! hahahahah
You can try rerouting the sound with Sound Router Switcher Bluetooth app.
Check out [root] Mobile ODIN Pro app for your Galaxy Note 2 See if that can help you.
Here is some more infomation that may help get your Note 2 back in shape.
If you look in General Part of this forum I believe someone found Canadian ROM version.
FYI - Dude, please understand that it doesn't matter what device the user on the other side has. Either they all can hear you or not. Sorry, but you stepped into that one. Your friend on the iPhone may not hear you very well, because that person may not have their phone set right, including volume. But still the best thing is to get the correct ROM in your device.
Warning - Always make a backup ROM, including stock ROM before doing anything! Please make a Note of that! Get it, Note of that! Remember!
Yaaaaayyyyy

I know its early to say, but when the S3 was brand new to market, there seemed to be quite a few people losing their IMEI's for unknown reasons. Any reason to think this problem will come to the N2?
I rooted with a custom ROM/kernel installed from CWM and my IMEI is just fine.

Yea but that doesnt mean much. The man makes a good point and I was thinking exactly this last night. Considering the s3 is probably closely related... <I just know the next post will be along the lines of ; "no its not wtf you talking about"> I would be really careful and probably just wait it out and see. Let the impatient people test the water first. I wonder if those Nv backup methods and imei backup tools that worked for the s3 will work for the note. Anyone with better knowledge know? And by better knowledge meaning someone that can support their claim. Not the average self righteous xda member...

i screwed up when i rooted my phone and lost my IMEI...if you lose it, it should be just as simple as downloading from this post i made in the development forum and flashing with odin...at least it has fixed multiple phones that lost IMEI in root process...

Hey XDA Fam bam!
I have the T-mobile branded Note II and i'm experiencing the following problem:
Very weak signal.
Here's a little background. I rooted the phone and installed pmtr3 first V1 Rom and everything was perfect.
Then played around with other roms too and then the signal went every weak.
Then when I went back to pmtr3's first rom my signal did not improve. I would lose connection
everywhere. I replaced my tmo sim card, but I still experience this problem. I also went back to my stock nandroid backup, but it still did not help my signal problem.
Is there some sort of radio or modem I can flash? Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
I'm thinking it can be a hardware problem, but Idk. What input do you have my XDA fam bam?

That may be the case for most, but not this time. I received my replacement and did the exact same thing to it. Turns out the original was a defective device. I'm enjoying my replacement Note II now

Most problems FROM xda members devices are caused by user error. E.G. wrong roms. Not reading before doing stuff and trying to do too much. Its all over the forums. Maybe you havent read the same forum im talking about. Im talking about xda developers.
P.s. please no more pm's you are killing me. I try to read them but I just cant make it through some of them. I have to delete them.

Uh oh, well just in case, I saved them here:

Well I waited in line for an hour at my tmo store and got a new sim card as they claimed that would solve the data issue. But I also made them process an exchange. So I should have my new one tuesday. No more rooting until the problems solved.

Hello everyone, Im new to this site and phone. My previous device was the Nexus S 4G and i must say my e4gt is a huge improvement. My only issue that i have is the inability while on a conference call or a merged call to be able to hang up on either callers without ending both calls. Does anyone have a solution to this? Is there any type of rom or software i can download that will give me the ability to choose which caller to disconnect? Im willing to pay $100.00 sent to your paypal account for this solution. Thanks to all!

Rather than sending money. Upgrade ur device to quadcore. And use tango. Tango video calls gives u more freedom. Guess the good news its a freeware. For optimum usage you have to pay tango. Chaos

Have the individual of whom you're wanting to hang up on hang up first. Then you can continue the call with the other individual.

Hey guys,
Just trying to figure out how to do this.
I have a TMobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and i recently purchased a new asus laptop/tablet and it comes with Asus Instant Connect which allows you to use your samsung phone to tether with the laptop, BUT the application is only for Nexus, S2, S3, and NOTE, but not NOTE 2, so how can I make the computer think that I have an S3 instead of the NOTE 2
by the way, this application requires to have kies installed.
Please advise
You could just edit your build.prop to change what your device is an as, but I'm betting in this case it would be a little more in depth then just telling it you're using an s3.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Yep, i already changed the build.prop from T889 to T999 and restarted the phone but the program still knows
thats why I am asking on here lol

Probably would have helped to let us know that. As I guessed though it's more in depth then that so I won't be much help. Maybe one of our genius devs will swing by

If the computer is scanning the literal hardware itself, you may be out of luck, but I could be wrong.
Hey guys. I need your help!
I got onto T-Mobile 5 months ago. Very happy with the service. Fast reliable 4G-LTE network!
I'm having a major issue which I can't find a sulotion and maybe here I'll be able to troubleshoot it.
For the past 3 weeks. When I make or receive a call from my phone the other person can't hear me! Or when I get a phone call the other person can't either as well
I took the sim card out. Put it in a different samsung galaxy s4 and it works perfectly fine.
Does anyone have, had this before in the past and found the cause to it. Please please please help me out here!
Thanks much!

Try using the headset when making or getting a call. Be sure it's the original Samsung issue that came with the phone.
if they hear you, then it might be the phone's microphone is out of whack. Then also try voice recorder. see if it can record. if it does, the Mic. is good...
could also be the mic jack has crud in it. Pocket lint sometimes causes all kinds of weird problems...
Aloha and good luck!
