In short - no, there are libraries that need to be copied over with the apks. Also, you may get better responses in the actual t-mobile GS3 forum.

Ok so basically all i have done is i rooted it. i tried following this tutorial:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1718665 but i get
to step one and i looked in every folder i dont have a nv_data.bin file. i also tried googleing it but that took me to some website to pay for an unlock code which i think is a scam, is it? but i would like to do it for free is there any other tutorials you guys can link me to? and help me. and Will i need to cut my Tmobile sim card so it fits in the S3? it doesnt seem to just fit? Please help thanks!
Follow instructions in this thread to unlock your S3. I have done it, and it works fine (as long as you follow everything).
Pretty straight forward.

Hey guys,
I am brand new to rooting Android devices and have a few questions.
1) Do I have to install a new Kernal to be rooted?
2) Can I root my Sprint Galaxy Note 2 regardless of when Sprint pushes updates? How does carrier updates effect my rooted device once it is rooted?
3) How do I backup my stock GN2 incase I do something wrong so I can go back to factory?
4) I see videos at Galaxynoteroot.com that seem good for the Sprint variant, as well as on here. Which is best to use, most videos on how to root the sprint version of the GN2 are from October or November of 2012.
5) Use a toolkit or not?
6) Can I root, keep touchwiz, use Go Launcher, and find a way to enable Multiview for all apps since its rooted?
Thanks guys, appreciate the help. I really would like to get a handle on the basics as this is my first attempt to root, and this phone is pricey! So I will wait for your help, any and all advice appreciated.

Hi there,
I was wondering if I can restore my s3 back to original rom using my MAC computer. I have to send it back to my provider to fix so I need the original ROM back on but my house only has MACs. Any input will be appreciated. Also if you could provide me with the steps on how to restore it.. i tried looking but no success. Thanks
I came from sprint with their variant of the s2 I believe that you can use a program called heimdal I'm sure a Google search could help you find out more about it and how to use it

Hey guys, before I begin, I've attempted to search the forums & I've been unable to find an adequate answer, so if there is an answer out there to my question & I missed it, my bad.
My question is thus. I have a Galaxy S3 LTE, model sgh-t99L T-Mobile branded & I'm considering rooting & installing a custom rom. I have done this previously with a HTC Sensation 4g successfully & I'm comfortable with the procedure. However, I've been unable to find any information on if it is possible to root the T-Mo S3 LTE model, if there is a way to restore the device to stock after rooting it, and the necessary tools to do so.
I'm happy with my device as is, but I like to tweak things, so I'd like to at least know if its possible to root my device & if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction.
*Note at the time of posting this, the search feature was "unavailable"*
Thank you guys for your assistance
Sean
Ok, first thing you need to know is this is a question, and as such should be asked in Q&A. Also if you were to look in Q&A you would find a dedicated thread for the T999L that is almost always on the first page. And if you read the stickies you would find a link to it in the roll-up thread.
Not lecturing, just helping so you know for the future. Also, when xda search is down, you can Google "xda T999L info" or similar and it should show up.
Your questions are already answered in that thread btw. Link is also in my Sig.
