Feels like it should be obvious but I've gone through multiple menu settings in the specific memo and in the main s note page and the best I could find was adding tags. I'd like to change the auto generated file name.
I have the same question , and can not find an answer anywhere

Simple (as I see it) ...
No root required. Use any file browser (even My Files will work) to navigate to sdcard0, then the "S Note" folder, find the file you want to rename, long-press on it and select Rename from the menu. Voila! When you relaunch S-Note the file will show with the new name.

Upon install some third party applications, two icons for a program will install in the programs menu instead of just one (not talking Start Menu). These are not two separate installs, but two shortcuts to the same program. Under Remove Programs there is only one program instance.
On a related note, I had switched phones and had installed Beta player on my SD card..it was still there, of course, but now an icon does not appear in the Programs folder.
1. Where do I go to remove or add shortcuts into the Programs Menu?
2. How do I do so? (if it is too long to type out, where can I read about doing so?)
Thanks,
First a real file explorer then find the links here....
Get a real file explorer first. The Windows standard one is terrible and you can not see many files that savy users need to see (such as the shortcuts I mention below). RESCO is a good and popular one. Then you can find the program shortcuts in Windows\Start Menu\Programs. These are just links to the actual executables and if you get the file properties you can see where they link to.
Alt file explorers
Ah...I figured it was something simple like that. I will download some file explorers and try them out.
Thanks ;-)
Resco Fixed it
Once I could see and read everything on the pda, everything was a breeze. Thanks again.
Hey is there a way to show the programs as a list when you go through the menu or does it have to show the full icons?
is there any simple way to create a shotcut to a path like the sd card?
id like to create a .lnk file to it.
i know there is a way to do create shortcuts using notepad, but i dont know how to make it work whit a path, and its a lot os work make about 15 shortcuts manualy
2- is there any way to specify just to open a program, but to open it in certain mode, like open the calendar in the new appointment window.?
ill apreciate any help
1) highlight the item ie storage card click menu - edit - copy. Then go to the location you want the shortcut and click menu - edit - paste shortcut.
2- The following thread is quite informative http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=252250 .
If you don't want to make shortcuts in using a text editor, you might try GSFinder+ which allows you to attach arguments to shortcuts.
If all you want is a shortcut to a new appointment, might I recommend WM5NewMenu. It does what you want and a lot more. It is lightweight and by far the most useful program I have found for my phone.
I don't know where they came from (probably a side-effect of a ROM install) but I suddenly find myself with a bunch of Internet Push links that I don't want. Looked around the web and can find info on how to edit/remove these links. Lots of people seem to have advice on disabling Push Internet, but that is the last thing I want.
How do you get rid of of Push Internet link once it's created? Can't find anything in registry or a Manila folder in Application Data.
Thanks!
bump. Someone must know.
Bump....I'm really searching for this too !!
another bump
I'm too new to post links but look at thread number 548770 and see if that solves your problem.

Unfortunately on Sprint devices (or at least on mine) there is no \Application Data\Manila\InternetPortal-en-us.xml file to edit In fact the \Application Data\Manila\ folder doesn't even exist, and that particular xml file is nowhere to be found on the entire device (doing a search with Resco Explorer, and making sure I have Hide Hidden Files unchecked)
When you are on the internet tab there should be a 'Menu' softkey. In there is a remove option to remove them I think.
Unfortunately no. I have a Bookmarks softkey and a Browser softkey. Neither brings up a menu.
I put a file called short.html on my new HTC Desire 816 phone. If I click on the file in either of my two file managers (ES File Explorer and OI File Manager), I'm presented with a list of 6 possible apps to open the file (both file managers offer the same list), but the list does not include the possibilities I'd prefer. Is there a way to either expand the list or replace some of the listed ones with those I'd prefer?
Thanks in advance for your help.
What app are you trying to open it with?
There is no way to expand the list as the file explorers only suggest apps that they know can open said file, and are 99% of the time correct in there choosings, especially with a common file type like html.

Ideally, I would like to open it with the Last Pass browser (which I have on my phone and my tablet). I've found that it formats web pages better on small tablets and on phones than most other browsers, including Dolphin, which is the browser the file managers list. However, after reading your message, I took yet another look at Dolphin and found some features that might work well for me. So thanks both for your quick reply and for saving me from beating my head against a stone wall.
you can checkout "CompleteActionPlus" module in Xposed too if you're rooted. it lets you customize items in Open/Share menus
Hello. Coming from Touchwiz I like the ZenUI quite enough, but...
Is there a way to create folders (with a custom name) in the app drawer and put inside them the apps I do will, not based upon the approximate built-in categorization, which put almost all of them together ?
Stuff like AppZorter for TW would be sci-fi on this kind of UI, isn't it ?
Thanks for any trick
Easy, in the apps menu up on the right site, touch the edit option.

And how could I create custom folders, this way ?
I see the "smart folder" (automatic) option only, which isn't too smart, as I said above
Thanks
You have to choose edit and creat manually over posted.

Sorry but I can't get your point.
If I choose "Edit" in the top-right menu, the drawer automatically switches to "custom mode", with those self-distributed smart folders.
How could I create new custom folders or move apps between them ?
I can only rename the existing ones, but they stay as before and all the apps come back to them soon
Thank you
Ok, I'm answering myself if someone else could be interested in the OP question solution:
to create a custom folder, both on the home or drawer (edit mode) layers, you should drag an app icon above another: a folder containing both of them would be created.
Then you can edit/change the folder name tapping over it
Done.
Thanks for putting on right way
