{ROM} [Sprint][CDMA][EXT4] Samsung Galaxy Tab (SPH-P100) 1n1tia|C0ntact_V_1_6

Alright all you XDA SGT users I humbly submit my custom ROM!
This is the first release of the AlienInc Roms rightly named 1n1tia|C0ntact. Inside you will find themed UI, wallpaper (please note the new live wallpaper "Node Battle"), some of my favorite apks, debloated and ready to roll. Oh yeah you will also notice in the screen shots the Over Clocked/Under Volted kernel. I baked in a super stable and very snappy kernel built by Rodderik called LiquidTab. I'm very sure you will enjoy that!

Ok so here's the lowdown:
1)visit Rodderik's thread and get your tab in flashing order LINK: [SPRINT][CDMA]Samsung Galaxy Tab (SPH-P100) Mega Development Starter Thread - best case scenario would be to walk through his thread completely first then flash my ROM over top. I recommend you convert to EXT4 to get your speed on
2) download my ROM Mirror or MAIN DOWNLOAD
3) flash via your newly installed CWM
a) you know the drill on the 2 finger boot into recovery(volume up and power; hold volume up until you see CWM).
b) wipe cache x3, wipe data x3, wipe dalvik cache x3 ( no reason to worry about losing any info because you just followed Rodderik's install process, right?)
c) select install zip from sd and choose the file
4) ROM will reboot and you will be off to a fresh start
5) tell your friends about how fun and fast this ROM is
ENJOY!

Heyy no worries. it flashed with success. Will be reporting back after a few hours. So far, so good. My real test consists of opening PDFs and other ebooks.

I did...or so i think i did, via option 2 on the prereq page (Mega starter etc etc).
I ended up using the kernel with EXT4 and CWM. I checked to see if CWM was installed, which it was...so as far as EXT4 being converted, would their be a real test or for me to know for sure?

So if you read through this post you will see the cwm flashable conversion tools. You can do it anytime. You will notice a difference. Things will be noticably snappy.

Ahh don't worry. After I remanded everything came up.
Ext4 =snappy & launcher pro prompt came up.
It threw me off, as your screen shot looked like mine initially, but now launcher pro came up

I've never tried it on a verizon tab, but I've heard you can flash cdma roms across those carriers. 3g works on sprint on this rom. If you flash it on your verizon the 3g won't work, your tab will be wifi only. Again, I've not tested it personally. Give it a shot and report back to us if you want.

New to the tablet end of android. But does theme chooser work on tablet roms? I know it need to be baked in. But just curious to know if the app would even work on a tablet, let alone the themes?

What's so special about the stock email apk? I always thought opensource k-9 was loads better.. you doing something mod-dish with it?

Because it's touch wiz and I love touchwiz seriously. Plus I can pinch to zoom out with the Samsung one where as the crappy stock one u can't also the aestheics and also has split screen mode. Some people actually like oem skins don't think we all automatically love stock cuz its pure android. Yea stock is nice but it lacks features in some areas
Also not doing any modding just trying to install a simple apk but the stupid things is not letting me. Also for some reason in cwm or through rom manager its not letting me fix the permissions its says "there was a problem running the command" or something like that.. Weird

i think i know why it wasnt sticking cuz i was trying to set up both email apps stock and samsung for the same account. i flashed a new rom that had the stock samsung email and i set it up was working then cleared everything and got the stock ics working but then i couldnt set up the samsung one it did the same as my old rom where it opened and immediately just closed. im an idiot i didnt know it wouldnt let u pull emails from one account with 2 email apps . also my permissions are working again

btw the only app that was able to sync with my corporate exchange server was the stock ics mail app for samsung

First attempt at flashing failed it had a symlink error. Downloading again to retry.
Got it to work after a second full wipe.
There is no gapps. touchwiz launcher force closes often. looks like the touch wiz launcher over stock 4.1.2. It is fast for the most part though.

After flashing AOKP's gapps the weather widget works and no more force close on the touchwiz launcher

no its stock 4.1.2 with a touchwiz launcher running over it.

im working on a second version with more of what you want in it if that is something you other guys are interested in i can do.

does it come with S-voice and other samsung apps

I tried both Chrome and Firefox on my computer...got farther with Firefox, but it is still stalling at around 60%. I hate Hotfile!

This is version 0.6.4. The Brid website says an update to 1.0 is available. Does anyone have and apk for 1.0?

It actually sort of works on Rootbox release today...some fc's but thats to be expected on 4.2.2/AOSP...

Over at the original note themes and apps thread. The 7000. There is a bunch of other note 8 apps. Most are apk swaps with some sort of root explorer. There is a couple of flash able zips as well. You have to use xposed framework to change dpi for it to work well. All the instructions are there. The only things I can't get to work is the video player and tw home. The rest work and look good. Especially the message app. Just giving you guys a heads up about it.

ok. decided to give this a try.. seems to be decent.. still learning it. one "bug" i have ran into that wanted to see if any others had was i installed and it imported my events from my calendar ... i noticed that some of the dates got messed up.. for instance, i have an event set for may 31st on my calendar and when it imported it put it on the 30th. it shows on the label as 30th but when i go in to edit the event, it says its teh 31st. So, the information is all correct, but it is not putting on the calendar properly.
any others noticed this happening or know of fix?

hey i couldnt find any instructions for correct dpi to make the awesome note work better.. do you know what the correct settings are??

This ROM was originally developed by Lemonboi5, and development is being continued by talkingmonkeys, nyfl2004, ¿Will-it-Blend?, enewman17 and myself.

REQUIREMENTS
As with our other TW 4.4.2 ROMs, you MUST be running on 4.3 or newer firmware. This will not boot on anything older.
This includes the KT747 kernel by ktoonsez , and is currently the ONLY kernel that will work with this ROM.
Again, YOU MUST BE RUNNING 4.3 OR NEWER FIRMWARE!!!!

I've tried this ROM for the whole day , it's stable and never reboot/freezing.
This is the best Kitkat ROM i've seen so far.

I've never done any work with themes so I can't say for sure, but I imagine it could be done. Someone like @talkingmonkeys would probably know better than me though.

Anyone else seeing this? Appears to be working fine for me when switching between 15s, 30s and 1m. (I always set mine to 1 min anyway and haven't noticed any issues during normal use)

This Rom is effing amazing man .. smooth performance, no freezing what so ever seriously great work. and loving the s5 style. 5/5 stars.. also we can flash any other kernals right? and thanks a ton for this rom.

This is what I'd try for both of you. Factory reset first, then flash the rom, reboot and let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Then test it out.
I used to always do my factory resets right after flashing a rom, so in case you are doing that like I generally like to do, don't. If you factory reset after flashing it will cause a number of issues, including problems with Google apps. There are important apps on the data partition that are needed for the rom to function correctly. So only do the reset BEFORE the rom flash.
Hopefully that will help you both. Let me know!

I agree with you factory reset is vital to flashing a new ROM .
