Samsung note 2 after root cant update

Hello after i have rooted my note2 i cant use the update on my phone ... any thoughts ??

- Flash the stock ROM
- Perform a wipe
- Set up your phone
- Do the update

This is known that on some root procedures it kills any official update options

Unroot device...
Install stock rom via odin ...
Rom: CodeBox 1.4.0 Unofficial
Kernel: Horsepower 3.1 by fuss

I Have the same problem too...after root cannot update...but this does not happen to my note I ....any suggestions to help this issue?? Please share, thanks.

Depending on the root method there will never be a fix for this as the official OTA will only work on fully stock recovery and roms

I was just wondering if you can root after taking the multiwindow OTA or you have to root before the OTA .

Hi there, thanks for the help. I tried it and it failed. I also tried mskip's note2 all in one toolkit. It would only work on android v4.1.1, I have the latest ota for v4.1.2. I was going to look at devs thread to see if anyone else has had this same problem. Thanks again.

Download a 4.1.2 stock ROM and root it.

Hey guys I have done all the updates of samsung till now..n now I want to root my phone..should I go for the nrml procedure of root or is there some other way for those who have done all the updates till now..plzz help me..thank you

Chainfire`s CF-Auto Root is the easiest way imo link http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.zip, unzip and flash with Odin in PDA. Or flash a pre-rooted stock rom.

Strongly recommend refer to *Dr.ketan method* it has 3 options to root your devices.
