Requesting a mod for unlimited apps for the multiwindow feature! I can try to provide whatever is needed if someone knows how to create the mod. I am stock non rooted with the new update
I think this is already available for international version. You need to be rooted and with a deodexed rom

Has anyone made a stripped, stock rom yet? The stock rom, rooted, and all carrier bloat removed. Possibly even de-sensed too.
I'm on virgin mobile by the way (CDMA).

Does anyone know how to do this? I hate my status bar icons currently. My phone set-up currently is as follows:
Note 2 Root Toolbox (I believe this is odin)
Stock Rom
TWRP Recovery
Custom Boot Animation and Audio
Beats Audio Drivers
A few other things are done but they are not worth mentioning. I am opening to anything from changing the icons one by one to changing the whole theme. Thank you very much in advance for all of your help.

I believe that you need a deodexed ROM to do any theme mods to the top status bar. If you're unsure, look in the system/app directory, and if you have .odex files, you are not "deodexed". Once you're running a deodexed ROM, you can apply any number of status bar mods that are available for your particular ROM-base (ie LJC, LK8,MA5). I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can give you more specific information on how to build those mods yourself if you want. Hope this helps a little

Thanks, I am not deoxed yet, hopefully someone could help me with that. I want ro be able to use ota updates still though. Will I be able to?

You need the stock recovery to receive OTA updates, and you've already flashed TWRP. If you like the stock ROM and are only looking to theme it, I suggest you download an appropriate deodexed version from the development forum. Stock deodexed ROMs for LJ1, LJC, LK8, and MA5 are all available. Once you flash the new ROM, you can apply flashable themes from the themes forum.

Are they any ROMs that have touchwiz but do not have multi window intergrated into them?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
if you want an up to date rom, then no... touchwiz roms come with all features that the original build has... so unless you go for an older rom, your stuck... however you can disable the feature by going into settings, then into display, and then uncheck multiwindow. and btw, why wouldnt you want multi window? i find the feature to be awesome... also you can disable multi-window in any MD4 TW rom as far as i know
All the TW roms that are up to date probably have multiwindow. This one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121042 hasn't been updated in awhile and doesn't have it but I don't know if you can us it if you have the latest firmware since it wasn't built for it.

Firmware has nothing to do with the rom. You can run any firmware you want with any rom. The firmware or modem is completely independent of whatever rom. So you can run an LJ7 rom with md4 firmware or visa versa, it makes no difference.

Thanks for clearing that up edfunkycold
I'm looking to debloat my stock rooted 4.1.2 ROM but am unsure of what can be safely removed. In the past there have been issues with removing certain apps. Can anyone provide a list of apps that can. Be safely deleted and all of the pieces that have to be deleted for an app to be completely gone?
Thanks in advance!

I just came from the Galaxy S3 to the Note2. I want to just root my stock rom just to put a hotspot mod on it but I can't seem to find any info on this for a 4.3 rom with MK4. Can someone direct me to a link to a hotspot mod for a stock rom?

Will I need to flash this rom to get tether to work again? Can you post the link
Okay... I've been searching the forums and internet for a Native Hotspot mod for MK4. I have found a hotspot hack for the Note 3 and the S4 but nothing for the Note 2. Not really understand this because the Note 2 is older but yet theres not many roms and hacks out for it as the S3. Is there a reason for this? It seems the Note 2 doesn't get the love as other Samsung devices.
I want to kept my stock rom...just want to add a native hotspot mod. I found something for Deodex MK4 roms but not for Odex. I found roms with working hotspot hack build in it, but not a standalone. Can someone provide information.

Not sure...but I like the native hotspot better. I guess I have no choice but to flash a rom with a working hotspot hack in it.
