Can't turn off keyboard haptic touch on CM10 nightly? - HTC One X

Running CM10 11/07 nightly and can't turn off the haptic touch when using the keyboard. I've turned it off system wide, but it still comes on using the keyboard.
Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Go to settings, language and input, in keyboard and input methods portion, click settings icon on the right of your selected keyboard, uncheck vibrate on key press.

keyboard vibration

Hi guys
I cant remember if I had this done before but isnt it possible to turn the vibration off when the keys are pressed in the dialer? I do have the KB Mod but all options for the keyboard feedback are switched off, but it still does it
any ideas
Press and hold Menu until the keyboard comes up, tap the settings icon. Now select Text Input and uncheck the Vibrate when typing option.

Ah yes you are correct, it only turns off vibration for the Keypad and not the dialer, i shall keep looking
EDIT: Yep, that kinda sucks... even by turning off the Haptic feedback and Vibrate on keypress only affects when you use literally the keyboard like typing messages even if the description of the Haptic feedback feature says that it is also applicable to certain UI interactions. It would have been good if the dialer were included in the interactions. But the truth is the dialer seems like an another story, which I think it is a bit weird.
Once full root access is available, hopefully we can install an app like Wysie's Contacts app (available on Nexus) which allows you to disable the feedback function on the dialer.

Aye, it's a little annoying though and I too would like to find a way to have it's function disabled
As mentioned above, I think once full root access is available hopefully, and if it is made available for the Desire, we can install an app like Wysie's Contacts app (available on Nexus) which allows you to disable the feedback function on the dialer.

Did you reboot?
Sometimes it doesn't work immediately, after a reboot it should work

Settings>sounds>At bottom-Haptic Feedback or something like that
There are 2 menus that you need to enter and disable the function.
1st: Sound > disable vibrate
2nd: Language and keyboard > Touch Input > Text Input > disable vibrate when typing.
Very easy to miss one, particulary the 2nd.

4.2 Keyboard Voice button

Does anyone know what happened to the voice input button in the new 4.2 keyboard? Seems to be gone and I can't find a way to bring it back in the settings.

There is no voice input key option in neither Google voice typing settings nor in the Swype keyboard settings.
I'm talking about the actuall android keyboard settings above the Google voice typing

These are the settings I have on Language and Input
"Google Voice Typing" Only settings in here are "Blocking offensive words" and for downloading speech recognition for when offline.
"Samsung Keyboard" Here I can check off "Voice Input" to "Show voice entry button on keyboard" but I am not using the Samsung Keyboard
"Swype" No settings here to enable Voice button.
Above these settings I can set Default keyboard and Language. Just went through the rest and didn't see a voice input button. Do you have the 4.2 keyboard with the button on it?
I believe that you tap/hold the setting button next to the space bar. I was also able to get to it by pressing the Settings button next to the Android Keyboard in Settings>Language and input. You might have to select Show settings key there first.

You need to make sure you have Android Keyboard installed. None of those you mentioned are exactly the same.

When the keyboard is on screen, go to notifications area and tap the `select keyboard ` option. On the top of the box that pops up, you should see a toggle to use of not use the soft keyboard. At least it works for me on JB 4.2.2.
I hope of helps!
