Hi guys, need help here. Is it possible to disable the vibration when typing?

Sometimes it doesn't work immediately, after a reboot it should work

Settings>sounds>At bottom-Haptic Feedback or something like that

There are 2 menus that you need to enter and disable the function.
1st: Sound > disable vibrate
2nd: Language and keyboard > Touch Input > Text Input > disable vibrate when typing.
Very easy to miss one, particulary the 2nd.

Ah yes you are correct, it only turns off vibration for the Keypad and not the dialer, i shall keep looking
EDIT: Yep, that kinda sucks... even by turning off the Haptic feedback and Vibrate on keypress only affects when you use literally the keyboard like typing messages even if the description of the Haptic feedback feature says that it is also applicable to certain UI interactions. It would have been good if the dialer were included in the interactions. But the truth is the dialer seems like an another story, which I think it is a bit weird.
Once full root access is available, hopefully we can install an app like Wysie's Contacts app (available on Nexus) which allows you to disable the feedback function on the dialer.

Aye, it's a little annoying though and I too would like to find a way to have it's function disabled

turn off vibration

Hi everybody,
Is it possible to turn off the vibrate feature that occours during startup and other actions like typeing etc.?
Thank you.
Language & keyboard > touch input > text input > vibrate when typing will turn off vibrating when using the keyboard. Not too sure how or of you can turn off the vibration during startup.

[Q] How to completely disable microphone button in the keyboard?

I disabled google voice typing in the settings, but that checkbox just keeps turning on by itself after a hour or so. How to completely disable that annoying icon?

Not trying to hijack the thread but do you also know of a way to disable the smiley face button on the stock jellybean keyboard? I always hit it by accident.

The only way I know of would be to use a custom messaging app. For instance, I'm currently using an inverted Mms.apk that lets me choose between the smiley key, send, or enter for new line for that button. However, I don't know if that's what you want since it still doesn't let me disable that button.

Can't turn off keyboard haptic touch on CM10 nightly?

Running CM10 11/07 nightly and can't turn off the haptic touch when using the keyboard. I've turned it off system wide, but it still comes on using the keyboard.
Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
Go to settings, language and input, in keyboard and input methods portion, click settings icon on the right of your selected keyboard, uncheck vibrate on key press.
