[APP] sgs2 tasks

i have sgs2 email app and there is option to sync tasks with exchange, but it fails, there is no task app. i extracted tasks app form sgs2 system dump. can someone make it work on deodexed JVH rom ? using tweaky jvh rom. thanks
tasks extracted from sgs2:tasks.zip
I don't use that option, so i'm not really sure, but if it worked with original email.apk, i guess you could use the email.apk from jvh
I'm going to create a zip that does that.
i need to use this with sgs2 email app , original jvh email app has no option to sync tasks.

I took the email.apk from the sgs ii rom, so if it doesn't work, it's probably a compatibility issue, does it work on other gingerbread roms with the sgs ii email app?
no gb rom have sgs2 tasks app so no, that's why i extracted tasks app from sgs2 dump, but i dont know i f i can just copy them to my system/app on your deodexed rom, will it work ?

You can try and post with results...
ok, it's working you can add files form zip to your next realease, so we have now full exchange sync support with new sgs2 email app
EDIT: tasks app is not localized (email app is, i use chzech) it's in english so there must be localization in sgs2 dump for that , but dont know where to look.
For some reason the tasks.zip link has been deleted. Would it be possible for someone to upload this? I would love to have my exchange tasks on my phone. I have searched around the forums and googled it to no avail. The only place it seems you can download it is with Tweaky's ROM, and not individually the app by itself. I'm sure tweaky's rom is great, but I would prefer to just install the app onto the darky ROM I am already using.
can you please extract video player and camera .apk from sg2 dump ang get it on sg1 so that we can have 1080p recording and playback..

I'm not sure but you can extract the messaging app from any ICS rom which do not using HTC Sense and install normally. Then if it works, you can remove HTC Messaging app.

Which version of jellysandwich ?
If you have just installed version 8.0 of jellysandwich, it asks you in the AROMA installation if you want to use g -mail , and e-mail did you pick them?

download this one. unzip it. find mail.apk
you can put in on your sd card and copy it manualy in /system/app or install using the .apk installer in flashtool.
also in this fix here a mail app is intergrated to. don't know if they are the same.
EDIT: there also is an exchangeservices.apk (or something like that.) you will have to copy that to if you want to use exchange.

version 5 mail client

The z1, while it runs the same OS 4.2.2 it has a 5.0 email client. Is it possible to run on the ZL? It looks to have many improvements.
You may try and post a new thread on the Z1 forum and request for the email client 5.0 apk there so you can try it but your phone need to be rooted to put in system/app folder.
Here to upload Eamil client 5.0 from Z1

Thanks! I got the apk and dropped it in system/app. I renamed it so as not to overwrite the native but I don't suppose it will allow me to run that way? is it safe to overwrite the apk? Will I lose data?

Further, tried over-writing the native apk and re-setting permissions. Could not get it to run and got mail errors. Replaced the original apk and then things were ok so not stranded....what am I missing?
Tried it myself, does not work so unfortunately just have and wait and see if Sony have create one for other version such as our ZL in upcoming 4.3 update in December or 4.4 Kit Kat update or maybe not.
