Will there be a cm 9 for the Inc? Because there is a lot of supported phones but not the Inc
I just need to flash something

Try kushdeck's ROM, I'm running it and it works great.

Kushdecks rom is pretty great. I ran the latest build for several days with no problem.
You guys both didn't answer the question, lmfao Are we getting dropped?
Technically there are no truly supported device for CM9 as they haven't even made any nightly releases. With that said, according to the official statement, QSD8250 devices (Nexus One, Inc, Evo4g) should be supported. That is planned but not definite.
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cm9-progress-update
Above is the official statement from CM. If you want CM9 support, CUViper is the CM maintainer for the Inc. Coming from a Galaxy Nexus user using AOSP, AOKP is a great ROM based on stock. CM9 is not really even ready on the GNex so I'd say they're still working on it. It's not as simple as a transition from froyo to gingerbread.
Evervolv ICS rom preview is better than omx and INC-Deck imo. I have a post on rootzwiki with everything you need, link to the rom, gapps and the exchange.apk fix

Haha, maybe I should just follow you around apophis and keep giving a +1 to Evervolv ICS p5
But seriously, best ICS rom out there right now IMHO
Hey a good rom is a good rom. Im not bashing other devs but the rom is the most complete at the moment. Since he only post updates on twitter i post everything everywhere i can so more people can have this awesome rom
I used to be a hard core cyanogenmod user and I recently switched over to MIUI which will be coming out with v4 soon
I am much happier with MIUI.. give it a try..
jss24,
Is MIUI v4 based upon ICS? Is there some place that gives info about what can be expected out it. I would like see what they are cooking up.
yes there is a CM9 in the works. most of the ICS builds that are out now for the phone are repo'ed from CM source.
I don't know if CM9 will get inc support but the kushdeck alpha 5 has the camera working now; so feel free to FLASH AWAY!! eh, eh, see what he did there?
There is already a CM9 release out for the INC, but I'm assuming it's very buggy and it is missing some important apps.
Here's the link:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/10750-romunofficialcm9-with-working-hardware-acceleration/
Be sure to check further down the page for another download that's required in order to boot it up.
Not really a release more along the lines of a port. I dont believe it will have any more support
nope R2 pulled repo from cm so its not a port. they are work on it. we still have one maintainer left. CUViper. i have faith in him.
First line in r2s post says , so i ported cm9 to the inc earlier to see if hardware acceleration worked
Why would he say that if it wasnt a port?
Likely to be a port only, but that's where most of our great ROMs come from. These are called AOSP for a reason...
On another note, CCM7 (V10) is a great ROM to hold you off until ICS hits us in February, oops did I drop dates?
Oh well, I was going to post pictures of my setup, but I guess I am too new.
What is ccm7 v10? Where can it be found
Condemned cm7, ill pass
Hi,
I'm on AOKP Milestone 4, due the my lazyness to update.
Since august there is an official JB build , is anyone using it ? Is it stable ?
Thanks !
Yeah, it's good to go, I haven't had any problems with it. So, I'd say it's stable.

Are there any features of the previous release you miss ?
It's stable, and most of the features are included already.
aokp build 1has been stable for me. I miss the custom lock screen targets, but they should be arriving soon.
Hey,
I've been reading xda for quite a while now and I thought I would register and say hey. Then once I have done 10 posts, start contributing.
I have a 2 year old HTC desire, rooted, stock HBOOT, S-off.
I originally rooted so that I could save apps to the SD card (fed up of not enough space)
however I finally plucked up the courage to flash a new rom and I haven't looked back!
Roms tried so far:
Sandvold 0.18.2.1 (and a few earlier revisions)
Runny Rom 7.0.2
MIUI (short lived - missed the app drawer)
JB Paranoid Hybrid UI
HTC Desire AOKP Milestone 6
Unofficial AOKP Jelly Bean v1.4 - my personal favorite so far although a few niggles which mean I can't use it as my everyday rom. (niggles I would like to help out with, when I have my 10 posts)
Current:
Insert coin rom A2SD+ stable v1.14 - purely because of the stability and lack of niggles.
I'm stuck with my Desire until my contract renewal (May 2013). and then I will be upgrading (possibly a Nexus, maybe something else). Until then I will be milking my desire for all its worth with new roms just to keep my interest in it.
I really like what you guys are doing here and the developers are incredible. I would like to help where I can, but being a noob and highly de-motivated by the instructional video means I might need help helping you....
Thats about it,
Thanks

Hey there.
You should try lee droid's and cool's.

Hey, I had a look at leedroid and cool, and I might give them a go, but they don't seem too different to the insertcoin Rom I'm using at the moment, plus I like the plain sense3 lockscreen
I'm more excited about finding a jellybean or ics Rom that is stable and doesnt tell me that 'my device is not compatible' with my Natwest app or vouchercloud

Hey,
Which Runnymede rom do you mean?
Cool 3D?
Runnymedemod007?
Runnymede AOI?
etc,
I have tried Runny Rom, and I agree it is stable, but it was also quite slow and jumpy for me, I don't know if I was using the right Kernel, but I think I was. I even OC'd to 1132 MHz, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
I'm now trying runnymede aio as suggested and so far I'm quite impressed, seems to be stable and smooth, except the weather, but its livable with.

Might want to try Paranoid Android 4.11 Jelly Bean. From my experience it's the most stable Jelly Bean rom for Desire. The currently most stable ICS is this.

I personally would not recommend any ics/jb rom for everyday use.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
Well, yeah, ICS/JB roms are not too stable, but they are gradually getting better and better. I haven't had any major problems with any of the roms, except some occassional reboots or freezes - so far zero of them with this rom. And to be honest, I'd say that the ICS/Jellybean features and HWA are worth some discomfort. If you need to use the phone for work I wouldn't suggest them too much. But if your phone is mostly a "toy"/tinkering machine, go for it.
Also just noticed that OP had already tested the Paranoid Android JB rom... My bad. No problems for me with it so far. I didn't even know that my Desire could be this smooth :l.
I agree, I have tried most of the ics/jb roms now, and for a daily Rom I would stick with gingerbread, I'm getting back to sense at the moment, seriously considering a oneX+ when I can upgrade, although the Motorola maxx HD looks promising...

Just wanted to ask, maybe someone got one or tried one.
Pop Corn..
Mate, hi, till now there is no 4.2 android, well you have a buggy one. Right now, HTC is working fixing JB 4.1 bugs in the ota, so it would be impossible to find Sense htc 4.1....but... You only salvation is that you port Android 4.2 from LG nexus so we can use it. I bet on YOU bro. I know you can.
SkyDragon Sense Rom V1
CyanogenMod just made a bunch of announcements regarding 4.2 overnight.
Work is well underway.
For now you can install the 4.2 GAPPS package to enjoy the new widgets and apps. Camera is buggy though.
Hi all,
I hope the developers read this also.
I dont get it, there are so manny different roms here, why are those people not working together for one stable rom?
I abused my Phone the last weeks with alot of roms found in development but all had issues, the issues dint resolve but the developer is paying attention to other version of android.?
Dont see this as a big flame to all of you,, i really love the fact that people put time in a old Phone like mine and make a nice rom for it.
But still... why so manny different roms? i see dev's having 3 threads with 3 different roms and there all apha beta, but no stables?
Is it a who's got the biggest brain idea here? or do i see it complete wrong?
Because 4.1.2 isnt stable but all the time goes in 4.2? then why even bother to make 4.1.2 if its Always stays in apha...
isnt that just a waste of time? isnt it alot better if the dev's working as 1 team?
My question is:
What rom is 4.1.2 or 4.04 and stable?
For now i'm using nikez lente 3.1P1 ? (the latest for 4.1.2) with nightly
but its crashing to much
But i really would like to see a stable 4.04 / 4.1.2 because it looks great!
Again dont see the evil in this post, its really something i just dont get and like to know why...
And yes big typing mistakes sorry

Tim

There are no stable ICS or JB ROMs for the Desire. Period.
And in all probability there won't be one too because our phone hardware just doesn't support these newer versions.
There are many stable and fully functioning GB ROMs.

They are stable. You just cannot call anybody from time to time and sometimes you get black screen and you cannot receive sms and camera does not work. And sometimes the phone hangs on incoming calls....
But apart from all that, they are very stable...

just my point. When i look @ cynagogen site or evervolv you see alot of work in custom roms, but none are stable as in works like you buy it from the shop.
Ofcourse Custom roms need alot of developing, bugs are easy to make, but i just dont get it why you make alot of time en effort into a rom like 4.1.2 and then suddenly you drop it and lets do 4.2 now...
The saddest part is that alot of you people donate a bit monny for the time they put into the rom but then at the end you got a bug Phone and a new rom 4.2 thats crashes 90% of your time... oo yes cool 4.2 lets donate spend time on it until where alpha / beta en then we spend time for android 5!
i just dont get that...
I dont like gingerbread or 2.1 2.2 2.3 etc i want 4.0.4 or 4.1 / 4.1.2 specialy the last on from nikez lente works for a alpha pretty good so you should think where almost there but then you can read where spending or time in 4.2... pffff
Well maybe its just me but i never seen this way of working before.
I dont have the monny to buy me a 4.1 android Phone. So i would like to have a stable rom and wanna put time it in but why not all the developers at the same time. i really think you can get a good rom in 1 month then.
Make a irc channel and go.
but then again everybody thinks different.

Sandvold's ICS was very stable when I used to use it. Some odd FC were an issue but it was so rare that it never bothered me. Maybe give that a try even though it hasn't been updated for a while, it's still ICS on a Desire.

just my point also, readed the 1600X pages and there still bugs in there that I think is alpha instead of beta..
installed the The fastest/stable CM10 VJ Jelly Bean 4.1.2 v2.9.1
works great... will see after some weeks, but lots of updates thats how i like to see it.
AOKP V2.2 is pretty stable .
i have it for 2 months now
Just curious...what does ICS or JB so great on Desire when for example MildWinds 2.3.7 based ROM (5.7) is working flawless and it is stable?

What you need to understand is that developers are trying to bring the latest and the greatest of Android to Desire. Stable GB updates for Desire were released when even HTC had given up on official GB update.
To use ICS or JB on Desire, you need to accept that it will never be as fast a SIII or OneX simply due to hardware limitations. Still there are ICS & JB ROMs available stable enough to be used on a daily basis quite comfortably. Multiple devs working on the same problem is not the solution.
If you can't upgrade to a JB phone, install a good JB ROM like Vijendra's CM10 JB and enjoy the new features with occasional restarts. But if photo and video recording is important to you even with the poor old 5 MP camera on our Desire, stick to GB.
I like vijndra's cm10 JB - rom based in evervolv. It is fast and very stable.

@Tim
You've got it totally wrong. The devs here aren't miracle workers. They just slightly edit from the resources they gain, to make it their own.
Just because a rom is titled alpha, doesn't mean it in no way can be a finalized rom.
If the resource from start isn't even beta, don't think the devs are god and can change this. You should adjust your expectations.
However I get you're frustrations about donating.
