[Q] How do i install official new keyboards to my GS3? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I got the new JB update and i am loving it! Now, if i remember correctly with the JB update you can install 20 different custom keyboards one of them being the US PC keyboard. I keep looking in Language and Input. But i don't see an advanced button anywhere!
Since this is sprint did they remove this feature? If so i'll be mildly sad as i hopped over to sprint just so that the OS wouldn't be gutted that much (and their awesome unlimited data).
Am i missing something?

[Q] Picking up a new 3g slide

getting a new 3g (had one a while back) wondering if theres a way to disable or uninstall the tmobile custom UI (outlined icons, apps in drop down box)? thats the only real deal breaker for me on this phone, and actually why i got rid of it before...Im really hoping its possible to get a more vanilla experience out of it
whether I have to root it, or miss out on some of the key tmobile features, i dont really care...i just cant stand the custom UI
Thanks
download Launcher Pro. or look it up before you buy it. It's so much better than the original UI.
Just curious, why are you getting this phone?
Or you could root the phone and install cyanogenmod or something, doesn't get much more vanilla than AOSP.

Official Jellybean text app has no autocorrect???

I can't find the setting anywhere. I refuse to believe that there is no option for autocorrect in Official Jellybean. Am I overlooking something?
it got ruined with the new update. I suggest a different app altogether. someone might be nice enough to pull the apk from an old ICS rom and you may be able to install it like a normal apk, though it might not since it thinks it is a system app, so it might fail. I hate that also.
Do a search for latinime.apk. I just installed it on my note 2 and the keyboard is amazing, autocorrect is sweet again coming from fruit phone for the last 4 yrs.

[Q] Where can I find the 4.2 keyboard to be used with 4.1.2

Used 4.2 stock for a few days, it was absolutely terrible, so I re-flashed back to stock 4.1.2, and my phone works beautifully again.
However I now cannot live without the 4.2 gesture swiping keyboard that came with the new update.
I have searched high and low for this keyboard but all that comes up is an "early version" of the 4.2 keyboard from late oct, and it turns out its quite different from the actual 4.2 keyboard that google put out..
The 4.2 keyboard that is easily available is not nearly as accurate and has this large cartoon looking bubble text that hovers over your swiping. I have this installed now, but its just not as accurate. The official one is substantially better in this regard.
Does anyone know where to find the "actual" 4.2 keyboard that came as part of the official update?
I am running 4.1.2 yakju stock, unlocked and unrooted.

[Q] Suggesting contacts when typing in phone numpad

Hey guys, I hope you can help me out.
I just got the Galaxy Nexus and upgraded to the stock 4.2. I am very happy with it but there is one small snag.
I previously had the HTC hero and it had an option to intuitively search your contacts when you are typing stuff in the dialing pad. I don't see this in the vanilla Jellybean. It's really strange as this seems to me like a must-have function and I can't think why they would have omitted it.
I searched all the options over and over and found nothing. A friend of mine has a custom jelly and it has it.
Please tell me if I am doing something wrong or if this is by design for the vanilla version.
Thanks in advance!
yes, vanilla JB doesn't have that unfortunately. but, if you are rooted you could try replacing the stock dialer with the one with T9 capabilities - you could find it floating around the board, though i haven't tried yet,
or you could use custom ROM, that's what i did.
Download an app from play store.
I personally like DW contacts.
Swype'ed on my CM10 Galaxy Nexus
You can also use exdialer from play store. Great dialer with themes. No root required.

By Design who needs T9 when you have Google Now? Just swipe up from Navbar and say call Contact X. Just about every custom rom features a T9 dialer so that is worth consideration.

I need it because I'm bulgarian and naturally my contacts all have names that Google Now has a pretty hard time recognizing when said aloud.
I'm thinking about a custom rom but for now I'll go with the dialers suggested in previous posts.
I still think that this option is something that any dialer should have and find it pretty puzzling that they should omit it in the stock one. My guess would be patent issues.
Anyways, thanks to all of you for your suggestions, you've been extremely helpful!
Cheers,

[Q] Android 4.2.2 Keyboard AOSP

Hey All,
Jelly Beer's 4.2.2 update worked great on my Samsung S3. However, I went out and purchased a new Note 2 GT-N7100 T-Mobile T889. I love the phone. The only problem is that I got used to the keyboard that the guys included in with Jelly Beer 4.2.2 update. In the Input settings, the keyboard is listed as Android keyboard (AOSP). That's the keyboard that I want.
The one that came with the Note 2 is Samsung's own and it's awful. Yes, yes, yes, I've installed just about every other keyboard out there. I've purchased the paid versions and all. Still, nothing does the job as well as the keyboard AOSP. I was literally going to toss the phone because I can't type on it. Then I started to use the gesture part of it, and I'm getting used to that. However, I still want the AOSP one. I've looked all over in the Play store and nothing.
Does anyone have the direct link or the actual .apk that I can download?
Would really appreciate it.

I am wanting the same thing.
yes, there is a google keyboard in the app store. but its not the same as AOSP, AOSP has the symbols as long hold on the letter keys. and you can long press the "." and slide to choose ?! and others.
I tried pulling out the aosp keyboard from carbon rom, if I just install it, it works, but no sliding to type (like swype) and if I move it to system/app and set permissions, then reset, it just force closes... so... it kind of works... but I would really like to be able to slide type.
