Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of live wallpapers. I love the idea, but in practice I've never found one that suits my taste and is compelling enough to stay on my device for more than a few minutes. That changed today with Cypher Cove's release of Audio Glow to the Play Store.
Audio Glow is actually a stand-alone app with a similarly named LWP companion which also launched today. The app is a music visualizer, which in itself is not so exciting. What makes this app exciting is that it isn't just a music visualizer – it's one that's beautiful, functional, and extremely customizable.
Basically, the app (or LWP, as the case may be) reacts to sound from any other app on your device (though its main target is music). It does this with colorful bars and little glowing particle specks that float around and can react to your touch. The app is simple in concept, and executed brilliantly with a ton of customization options. (Don't believe me? Just look at the screenshot on the far right below.) Users can change bar shape, color, particle density, whether bars and particles react to touch, the app's zoom level, its default music app target, and so much more.
In use, the colored bars bounce up and down as you'd expect, the particles drift lazily through the screen, and the artist name and song title smoothly slide together and apart.

This is a fun app, and an even better live wallpaper – one that can stand on its own even when no music is playing. Did I mention that Tasker and Locale users can use their saved visualizer themes and set them to trigger in response "to almost anything you can imagine"?

superb find sir! im a Dj so this is right up my alley
This live wallpaper is fantastic. Only issue I am having is with song metadata constantly being on so I turned it off. Thanks for posting it up!
Ummm, thats really cool. I might have to give this a try tonight! Thanks
I have been using this for about 4 days now and I do like it a lot! Only problems I have is when I unlock the device then it says whatever song I had playing (even if it isn't playing at the moment) and when I have music playing and go to the lock screen, the wallpaper doesn't show up. I just have a black background. I am on the newest aokp build (11/7) thanks in advance to any help and thanks to OP. For posting this awesome app!

Nice music app. Some of my album art is missing but I will fix it with the itag app. App is real fast and real loud curious to see what the future updates will be. Definitely a nice find. Would like to see a better widget.

Not working very nice together with CM9 player. Makes it force close.
Very nice and cool player. Thanks man.
Love this player!!! if its 2 dollars or lesser im paying for it sure!
Pretty sweet UI, certainly unique. I'm not a fan of the font used but if the font is all I can complain about that's saying something. Will certainly give this a few rounds round the block.
Thanks for the heads up.
i always thought playerpro with the pure white skin looked the cleanest. it also now has support for the native ICS lockscreen controls.
but now after uploading my library to google music, not bothering with third party players
This app reads personal information and sensitive log data. Why does this music player need that?
Poweramp and others music players do not ask for this permission!
I got a question
What is the difference between this player and the original player??
looks interesting.. i just don't see the point. spotify and stock music synced with cloud is solid.
Tried this player on both my Gnex & Razr - It's not as good as Poweramp on either phone.
This is a pretty good player, the lock screen is pretty cool. That being I am having problems with the lock screen when I want to access the phone. I turn on the screen, then select unlock. After that it takes me to facial recognition only to fail but not let me enter my pattern. I have to reboot my phone so I could get into it. Because of this I had to uninstall. The lock screen problems seems to happen when playing music, but I have always been able to find a way around it. Not this time.
looking forward to more development on this. already using it and i like it.
bk
Edit: working nicely now

I havnt started on widgets yet but everything else is pretty much done. This is for AOKP Roms only. I have no intentions of supporting other roms at this time. I just dont have the time for it. sorry..
Credit to the AOKP team and all there hard work for one sick ass ROM!
thanks to Locomain for his awsome mod found here ive incorporated it in to my theme. looks really nice.
I try to keep the Milistones and whatever the latest release is up to day. Any issues or problems. please let me know.

Yes. Each shade of red was based on visibility. The main red hex700000 is to dark for some areas and difficult to see.

Congratulations Zathus!
Can anybody port this theme for Galaxy S2?
S2 I have, and I love this theme!
Please!!!!!
yes ! the theme is aweSOME !!!!
However, found some places where the theme did not cover and are a bit annoying not deal breaker though
1) folders background for nova is black and apps name is also in black ( now rely on purely icon haha)
2) the navi key area, whenever the system decides to turn the navigation keys into dots, the original black background comes up. This includes video, gallery viewing and also when receiving a call. Possibly all instances where system change the nav keys to dots , this will happen
apart from that, thanks for giving me a new phone !!!!

Both issues are being fixed for my next release. The dot issue has been the bane of me. I can't figure out a way to make it go black when things like the camera and the phone is docked.

I really like NotifierPro Plus, so I thought I'd share. For $2.63 this app is a must have imo, I've been using it for a couple days now and absolutely love it. There is a free version available as well. It's very customizable and works great on my Galaxy Nexus. It has a bunch of themes, most are free, but for an extra $1.30 you can get this really sweet ICS theme. Hope you enjoy the app as much as I do.
I have it.. but $1.30 is a lil steep for just a theme.. I love it too
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
But when it's something you use every day and you get to keep forever its really not steep. You pay that much or more for a 20oz drink that you don't enjoy for more than an hour. I mean, if it's not a theme your into I understand, but I couldnt ask for a better one.
I have the paid version and its great check out my review

I have enough with a company iPhone that I have to carry everyday day. The worst phone, the worst os, all is bad with apple. So if it remember me iOs I pass on this one.
To me its not about if it looks like Android or iOS. When I am wearing my glasses I can usually read whats in my notif bar just fine, but when I am not I have a hard time doing that. So making the text bigger for a few seconds is a big advantage for me. Throw some sweet looking themes and complete customization per app and I'm sold. It may be a feature similar or even adapted from iOS, but you can tell from my screenshot it looks much better than iOS and to me it just feels like it should have been there all along..

It seems the banner is cut off for Samsung Note and S2. It falls behind any wallpaper. Any idea?
I'd use this if the technology was there to allow it to remove the notifications from the status bar. But alas, it isn't possible. =/

Is there any way to disable the default notification for missed calls? This would make NotifierPro perfect!
Right now I disabled default notifications for all apps I use (SMS, Mail, PlayStore, GMail, G+, ...), but it seems the Phone app doesn't have any options to disable notifications, or did I miss something?

Hello Nexus 7 users!
I'm searching for some active users in xda (post+thanks), and with experience in using UCCW (about 3 people) to test my theme.
The feedback that I need is mostly a screenshot of how it looks on your screen using the default settings (in DPI and other areas)
and with/without statusbar(not the nav bar). Note that you should not post any screenshots(or any files) in this thread or anywhere outside my inbox.
Just post here if you're interested.
Thank you very much

Ill send you some details about it tomorrow, the problem still remains but I was fortune to be able to select the black color text without having to use the pro version.
Otherwise the orange area (music player) would have been green, and the text would been light green, like the widget below.
I can test it if you want but I don't have much experience in UCCW
I'm a quick learner though

I would like to be a tester!
but it's my first time to use UCCW.
before I only used Glaeja.
PS.My device is Nexus 7.
I'm going to change my ROM.
I'll tell you if I get any FC with UCCW after I change
I'd be happy to help test it out.
another volunteer is here i would try to spend some time on this testing
HTC ONE X ,custom rom
Thanks for offering your help you guys! The last tester before the release is already picked so if all go wells it should be out VERY soon
even got the promo picture done at 8am xD
I'm on CleanROM 3.0
No FCs, working great
Alright, so since I had an HTC One M8 lying around after upgrading to this bad boy I decided to go ahead and change the RUU on the M8 to the GPE edition and load the new Lollipop 5.0.1 and fell in love with the new launcher. The animations are beautiful along with the design changes, so here it is. I have went through and tested everything on here to make sure it looks and acts just like it does on the GPE edition. Of course you won't have Google Now to the far left (which also got a nice little UI overhaul in lollipop) but, that's what the long press on the home button is for. For best settings you will need the prime, but this will still look pretty dead on without it. Steps are simple:
-Download the file below
-Using root explorer, (or whatever file browser you prefer) place the file in /storage/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/backup
-Open Nova
-Long press open spot -> settings -> backup and import -> restore or manage backups -> lollipop replica -> yes
-Enjoy having Lollipop home screen

The Google now launcher does not have the animations, the correct grid sizes in the app drawer, or the same looks as this does. But, if you want a 3x4 grid that looks like the DPI is extremely too high, be my guest.
No need to get ugly. I didn't realize that the GNL didn't meet your needs. It doesn't look near as good on this phone as Nova, but it does have the great google now integration.

Nova is awesome. I just switched from Apex Pro, and I'm so glad I spent the $4 to get Nova. So much smoother and faster animations. I've got the Google now widget on one of my home screens. Not as seamless as the GNL, but it gets the job done.
