[Q] Factory Reset Bootloop - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, all. I've had this problem for about a year, but I just kind of put the KF away once I got it replaced instead of fixing it.
Last year, I put my KF into a softbrick, factory reset bootloop. On boot, the KF warns:
Your Kindle has detected a problem and must clear App storage. The recovery process will erase some apps and data from your device.

The rest is the generic factory reset info. Press power to proceed. This looks like it goes through the process, restarts, and just boots back up into this message. Thus, bootloop. I've tried looking up others with the same problem, but no one has had the same one I mention. I don't have a custom bootloader or TWRP.
As for what caused this, if i can remember correctly I was having trouble with google apps permissions and changed a folder in /system/ to something else. The fire freaked out and I rebooted it. The above has happened ever since. So the only modification is being rooted. I've tried getting access to adb, but it hasn't listed the device. Maybe I installed the drivers wrong or something, but I didn't mess with it for long because I don't like being in Windows if I can help it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not in too big of a hurry, though, as I have a Nexus 7 currently. ^.^

Get a factory cable to force it into fastboot so you can flash a new bootloader and twrp , then flash a new rom. You can also attempt to race it to factory reset and reset it some have success.

I knew about fastboot, I should have mentioned. I just don't have the money to spend on one currently. What do you mean by attempt to race it to factory reset and reset it?

Just what I said you have just a little time to race to settings and factory reset it before it fc`s and shuts down some people manage to pull it off.

Galaxy Neuxs Encryption woes!!!

Hey All,
New to XDA but been using this site years so my level of Android knowledge is not bad.
I am currently having a huge problem with my Nexus. I used Google Apps encryption on it recently and that seems to have bricked my phone. I am unable to reset to factory settings to wipe the encryption as recommended by Google and I am stuck now with a bricked Nexus.
I also tried flashing stock roms with Odin which appears to work but the encryption still remains. All I am trying to do is put the stock back on my phone and re-root but I am having no joy. When using CWM to flash a new rom the system does not mount in recovery mode so I can't load any other roms. I have also tried the fastboot method but it stalls on waiting for device all the time.
If anyone has seen this and can help or if anyone just knows how to fix it please help me! I am stuck now with a useless Nexus. I should have just left it alone but as usual I couldn't.
Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you.
By some chance is your phone both rooted with CWM?
Hey, yeah it was so when I did a factory reset it could'nt use the stock bootloader so it didn't know how to wipe it. Unfortunetly once you apply encryption from a Google Apps the only way to remove is to factory reset.
I got around it by fastbooting the stock bootloader, radio and image from Google. Then I completed a manual reset using the original bootloader.
A world of hurt really! I have learned a lot but never going near Google Apps encryption again. It also slowed down the phone too.
Anyhow all sorted now, re rooted and running revolution rom now.
theres another thread with a guy who had the same problem. I wonder if vzw nexus has an issue with encrypting...
If the phone wasn't rooted I would have had no issues. It is simply a problem when it comes to loading roms. In CWM the recovery cant mount the data/system so you can't flash anything. Also doing a factory reset from settings doesnt work because the phone is looking for a stock bootloader which it doesn't have once you root. So I ended up in a loop and could do nothing. Fortunetly I learned all about adb and fastboot this morning, never heard of them before and that allowed me to reload stock and unroot. I still had to wipe the phone using the bootloader as I couldn't get into the phone or past the encryption.
If anyone is having issues with this I will gladly help as I really thought that my phone was bricked and was very frustrated. The only way I got help was from a guy on this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392037&page=3

[Q] CM10 m2 Encryption Issue

Ok. I foolishly enabled encryption on my i711 and after putting in the password, the volumes unlock and the system starts. The problem is that if the screen goes off for any reason, the phone reboots. Tried all sorts of things to correct and decided I no longer wanted the phone encrypted. There is no way back. Ok, so I thought I could do a factory reset... No dice. The phone reboots and all is still encrypted and there.
Next I tried clockworkmod but couldn't do ANYTHING there because the encrypted volumes aren't mountable. I couldn't factory reset, install a new rom, etc.
Next I went to ODIN and tried to repartition. No luck there either. I flashed clockworkmod again for good measure and even tried Nand Erase All.
After this I booted into the phone and tried to repartition... Now I have a phone that displays the lovely CM10 boot screen but never gets passed that. I can still get into recovery.
Any thoughts on how to undo the encryption and reflash a rom?

I have some very bad news for you.... Encryption is a one way street. Once encrypted the only way back is to flash stock via fastboot.
I can't even start to explain how to use fastboot as I have never been in a situation where I have needed it.
recoveries lose all access on encrypted devices so this is the only way.
Here is some links to get you started... Please do research before you begin the process and make sure you've obtained the appropriate files. I will take no responsibility for bricking your device.

Stuck on splash screen - cant reset

Hoping someone can help with this. I was having problems with my Zenwatch yesterday (a lot of force closes of various apps) and decided to reset the watch through settings to see if this fixed the problem. Was able to do that, the watch seemed to reset but now hangs at the initial Asus splash screen. I can get into fastboot or recovery (and tried resetting again and wiping cache through recovery) but the problem remains. I do not believe I had enabled USB debugging (and not sure it matters) but cannot seem to get my laptop to recognize the watch so I cannot push new firmware through ADB. Any suggestions?
same here................ please help

[Q] LG G4 H811 Stuck in Recovery (TWRP) Loop

I was running the latest version of TWRP and a rooted version of the LG G6 port. Everything was stable and worked fine. So I was ready to give it back to its owner who I had modded it for. I went into the settings menu of the phone and did a standard factory reset to remove my account that was logged in so I could test the phone out before giving it to the owner. well when it finished resetting and rebooted, its been stuck in a boot loop ever since.
Tried just clearing both Dalvik Cache and Cache, to no avail. Tried Reflashing the rom and starting over. Still nothing. Tried flashing a different rom. Still nothing.
So what else can I try? and also if its the only thing I can do, rest it all the way back to stock factory everything. How do I do that on this phone. What program do I need and what files. and whats the steps to complete the process.
Thank you in advance for all help that is given
i factory reset in twrp and turned on developers options after first boot then reflashed twrp i always forget backup lol or delete it or use kdz you flashed before anyway i can help i will if you still need
if you have tried to flash the same custom rom or another is still not working, flashes with the program "lg up", you will need a kdz file, and the corresponding drivers. if with that you can not watch this tutorial before doing anything.
if you have a backup made with twrp, it flashes again.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/unbrick-lg-g4-brick-hs-usb-qdloader-t3542785
during this process you will have to disassemble the back of the phone, (plastic) you do not need to remove the motherboard completely from the phone, anyway if you can enter download mode try with lg up tool.
if you need help around here we are.
Well now in the process of trying to fix it. The phone bricked and will no longer turn on at all. Is there anyway to fix this ?

Can you get into download mode?
Also, it's possible you have been hit by the bootloop

Weird recovery of a crashed 8 pro.

Popping in to give some feedback as always with my stuff.
Last night while using lucky patcher something must have happened it didn't like because I lost my wallpaper and my call history, at that point I figured she needed a restart. This brought me too a boot that would crash 40 seconds later and boot into whatever it was explaining boot issues
I tried clearing cache in the stock recovery but that didn't help
So I wiped the system settings only
Phone restarted as a fresh phone and is running great! First thing I did was look for and launch majisk, it needed to install some stuff but the damn think came back fully rooted!!!
So if all else fails wipe system in factory recovery.
It saved me a good bit of time unlocking bootloader and all that jazz
Hope it helps someone else when they get to a loop
Merry Christmas all

You can do a full Factory Reset and remain rooted. Since the boot.img is patched and flashed to your device. A full reset wont lock your bootloader too.
Only if you use MSM Tool or relock the bootloader manually (and flash a non rooted boot img beforehand) you relock your device.
