How can I flash the 4.2 Keyboard with ADB? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I've got a rooted device.. stock gnex otherwise. How can I get the 4.2 ZIP flashed?
Thanks!

Download mod. Install cwm or twrp and flash not too hard
Also there are tons of ROMs with all 4.2 modifications I suggest you try some out

I suggest before doing anything, read the stickies found in general and q&a by efrant, for example. How to return to stock and android 101.
Unlock bootloader. Then wait for the source for 4.2 to drop, you can count hours after that till someone posts a build.

[HELP][SOLVED] back to Gingerbread. Thanks

Admin Please Delete the thread.
Sorry if I'm posting in wrong section.
Today I successfully installed Leaked OTA ICS update IMM26 on my NS4G. It's great but to my disappointment Flash based apps are not working properly. Some Flash based apps are working fine (e.g. Veetle) but many others, especially browsers, are not handling it well at all. The reason perhaps is that many apps haven't yet been optimized for ICS. I'm addicted to all these apps.
Please tell me if there is a way to downgrade to Stock Gingerbread.
NOTE: I have unlocked bootloader but unsuccessful in getting root because SU works up to 4.0.3 only.
Thanks everyone.

This belongs in questions and answers.
But there's a one click (not really one) restore to stock in this forum. I believe its using Odin.
Just look thru the threads and you'll find the instructions.

not sure why you thought this was development...
But yes you can... Just wipe (everything) then install a gb rom. That is if you just did a cwm install of ics.

[Q] How could I download JB ROM images which were given away on Google I/O?

I don't want a modified version which are available in Android Development section.
I wan't a stock.
Is it available?
Can it be flashed via CWM recovery as I normally flash ROMs?

Yes. I thought the Cyanogen team put up a clean, I/O-derived JB rom that can be flashed in recovery.

i made all the updates and i suppose i must downgrade now to recovery the boot menu, right?
before the s3 i had an lg eve with CM7 so i know a little bit how to flash but s3 seems realy different.
help me please
thank you in advice
Read the stickies in development. Flashing is the same. Go to recovery and flash the ROM. Flashing recovery and rooting are obviously different but not hard if you read the stickies in development.

How to install aosp rom

Hello, very noob question here
I just ordered a lg optimus g and want to sell my galaxy nexus
I've rooted, and been using minco v7 Rom. Should I unroot to sell my phone?
I actually would just want to install stock rom, since right now,I don't get updates unless I flash myself. Most buyers don't seem to care, so I want them to get future updates.
Is there a link on how to flash stock Rom? Is it same procedure? Put in download folder, reboot in bootloader, wipe and flash it?

i guess reading the stickies in this same forum is hard?
Please read the stickies before you actually do something to your phone. The one's by efrant on general are very good.

Going from 4.1 to 4.4?

I have an old AT&T Galaxy 3 with 4.1 with a custom ROM
I would like to bring it to 4.4
What is the process?
Can I go straight to stock 4.4 or do I need to go to 4.3 first?
(Some of the ROMs I see posted say I need 4.3 boot loaders)
I was thinking to go to 4.3 stock then 4.4 stock then root?
All through Odin.
Thanks for your help

Howdy - I've moved your thread to the Q&A section, where it belonged in the first place. The development section is strictly for things "that you made" - questions go in Q&A. Please familiarize yourself with the rules link in my signature & take this as your warning to only post in development when it's appropriate.
Thanks.

This is in the wrong forum. I've asked one of the mods to move it but you can not get to 4.4 through odin at the moment. If you use a custom recovery you should update to its latest version using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.recoverytools&hl=en
Select your device then pick recovery. If you use CWM I would suggest using the latest philz recovery. Or if you use TWRP upgrade to the latest version of it.
Next you want to goto this thread and grab the firmware for your device. This should save you having to reroot it as well. Flash the firmware then the rom you want to use.
