[Q] OverSkreen browser on Galaxy Note II - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi, I like using the OverSkreen browser on my Galaxy Note I which curently has ICS. The browser is nice to use because it can open multiple floating windows. I've heard that it might not work on Jelly Bean. Has anyone had success using OverSkreen on the Galaxy Note II?
Thanks!

Was interested in trying this out. But it seems like it may not be compatible with our phones yet as i cannot find it in the play store from the phone.

I had overskree on my note 1 and worked great. Tried prying it on my note 2 and shows not compatable. So I tried the apk from the note 1 and it installed but the keyboard was cut off. Interesting thing is that the note 1 is no longer shown as a compatable device. I really like the note 1 setup with 5 icons wideon the home screen instead of 4 like the note 2 allows. This may be due to different android versions

Just went back to check compatability and note 1 is showing comparable again but the other day wasn't oh well hippie they get note2 soon was pretty handy addition

it's because OverSkreen doesn't work on JB
So any device (including Note 1) that updated to JB won't be able to use it.

Samsung SuperNote and/or S-Note on our Nexus 7

Hey!
I like Supernote and S-Note on Samsung-Devices, its a smart and fast way to memo or write something.
It's possible that Supernote and SNote works well on the Nexus 7?
Is somewhere working on Nexus 7-versions of Supernote and SNote?
Thanks and a nice evening. :good:
Hi,
that would be very nice. I hope, anybody is able, to port this App to the Nexus 7
Tim
Would presume that apps like that will need the touchwiz framework for it to run.
So I think that only a full touchwiz port will work.
hm, okay. I hope, it will run without...
Tim
use supernote from asus transforrmer
i upload 2 versions,try them all

The second one works for me fine. Thanks alot! Now I need a stylus
Does it support mathematic funktions, like the SNote?
i don't think, but you can try and delete if you don't like
OK, first I try it in my DesireHD, because, I get my Nexus at the end of the month I will report, if that works, or not
Tim
It would be soo great if somebody could bring the SNote on the Nexus7.
I have tested Supernote. But this app has no math plugin.
i don't think of.surely it requires tw frameworks and dependencies, but also if a working port of touchwiz is available, inside that i didn't find anything related to spen..if it was possible,i think users like madphone could already done that..but it isn't so..!
but why does it needs Touchwiz? I think, Touchwiz is the UI of Samsungdevices. I hope, anybody can explain that

Because Samsung makes great hardware but their software division likes to make things as complicated as possible so they are more in control of their builds then the user is.. Samsungs stupid qmg boot animation format is a perfect example.

Touchwiz is more than the ui, it encompasses all the internal OS changes as well. For example, you can't just rip out the "Pop up Play" feature out of the Galaxy Note II, as it relies on some of the internal OS tweaks to function. Same with some proprietary apps like S-Note, they may need the internal changes present only on Touchwiz ROMs.
Still no possibility to install S Note on Nexus 7???
Is there really no possibility to install Samsung S Note on the Nexus 7?
I even flashed a custom rom, which is said to port Touchwiz on the Nexus 7, but I still can´t install the S Note apk.
(I am prevented to post outside links -.- You have to search mrmad.net CodenameSammy 1.2, there you will find the rom)

yeah man,it's famous, but it's only a cna based rom with some touchwiz touches(TWframeworks,APKs,etc)
it's a well known fact that the tw dependencies limit the port.being closed sorce,tw ui need rewritten code for working on others non touchwiz dependent phones.i don't say that it's impossibile, but very hard and long.doubt we will ever see anything related
You should use Myscript Calculator. It does the match functionality perfectly.
Lecture note is better then snote
I hardly ever use s-note on my note 10.1. there is a- note hd for the note that you guys might like better I dont have a link but its available in the note 10.1 forum ...I do not really use it but it looks kewl..
I use lecture note and Franklin planner for the note 10.1 ..s note is useless without the S- pen in my opinion ...
I wish myscript would release and enhance their notes program. Its fantastic just for the handwriting recognition same with the samsung keyboard handwriting recognition. Have been wondering if the 7notes keyboard is worth just getting

Now which note are you transfering to?
Your title states Note 8, yet you ask Note 8.0... they are two diff devices, with two diff Androids.
I see a few Note 8 guys are messing up our forum threads with Note 8 questions.
Action memo was never introduced to Kitkat on the Note 8.0.
There are a few action memos plucked from Kitkat versions of phones and ported, but have odd formatting without using framework app settings.
You can modify your build prop to reflect the Kitkat tab and clear your Samsung apps data and cache to use Galaxy Apps to download a copy. Can't say if it will work or format properly to our screen dpi. I did do one update from Samsung so my Action menu is a bit newer than the ones floating around the S2 note II threads.

[Q] Galaxy Note II Emojis

Good day.
So, I have a Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100). It is not locked to any operator and it has stock Android 4.3 installed via Kies a few days ago. I heard that there should be support for emojis in this Android version. My gf has a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.3 and she has the iWnn keyboard with all the colored emojis. When I try to find that keyboard on my Note II I can't. There is no keyb with that name. I can see some emojis in apps and messages but no color and no posibility to type emoji without using Google keyboard (installed as an APK). The Google keyboard has only a few emojis.
How come everyone else with a Note II has this iWnn keyboard installed but not my phone? If it was locket to an operator I would understand, but since it's bought not locked to an operator I don't. Could anyone help me with this?
And also, how come the S4 range has the colored emojis and not the Note II/other models? Isn't the version of Android the same?

S4 is newer than Note 2 after all. (And both phones aren't stock android after all) so Samsung can still stuff new stuff into the s4, so download a third party keyboard (I use go keyboard) or grab the apk from your girlfriend's phone and hope it works on your note 2.
Smack that thanks button If I helped!

Well, I didn't have time for that, however I will try it some day. Thanks to all for the tip.
Instead I got myself a SM-N9005 (Note 3). And, if possible, I love this more than the Note 2! :cyclops:

Looking for s-note and other app updates

Anyone found and been able to install the Note 5 version of apps such as S-Note on their Note 4?
I downloaded a couple apk's but they don't install normally and I'm missing the folder in \system that I'm supposed to copy them to.
Editted to add that I also found the S6 version as well, but I'm nervous about installing that one since the S6 doesn't have the S-Pen and I might lose that functionality.
Did you happen to find the soundalive.apk the updated 1

I am not sure if you are interested or not, but you could install this [ROM] [5.1.1] Kyubi Note 5 Port Final [N910VVRU2BPA1] [2/23/16] and have a Note 5 with a Note 4 hardware. I have been running it for a lil over a week now and I think it's the best so far IMO. Hope this helps ya out.
These are the nougat beta apps ported by chevywoods for his note 7 edge ROM https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224400907. The sbrowser i s sweet . has plugin support

Gonna run into issues trying to run apps designed for edge on note 4 without edge ROM port . some may work most won't . they redid multi window for edge (sucks)

s note nerfed ?

coming from a note 4 it seems that s note had a lot more features than the current one.
the one i used most was insert photo note, where u could correct the skew of the photo so that presentation slides would appear straight even if you didnt sit dead on straight to take a picture of the slide on screen.
other functions eg insert chart, pie chart, map, sketch etc are all missing
anyone have a apk version of that s note that has these functions ??
thanks
Hey you want the 1st apk released by apkmirror.com
Most of samsung apps are gonna be pushed eventually by google play store. You want version 5.1.00-95 (the oldest version). It has actiom memo in it with the kunk to action stuff etc.
In the versions after that 5.2.00-13 and now 5.2.00-23 (the latest) , i know at least action memo is removed. Not totally sure about the areas you want but I would try that version.
Most likelt your Note 7 doesnt have the S Note apk instalped but rather just the Samsung Notes. Like I said go over the apkmirror.com and search S Note then look for the version i stated which will be from like May or something. Then after install , of this is corrct version you wanted, go into play store and search s notes then select 3 dots and unclick auto update.
Hope I helped

The only crappy part is that screen off memo's (which I use the heck out of ) go into that junky Samsung Memo. I truly hope that Samsung looks at it and makes some changes.
Someone in another thread posted version 5.1.02-18/4.1.61 apk (he doesnt say they version #., just says SNote (Action Memo)
I understand what you are saying. The action memo woth link to action was Great. I would show people the feature. Some who had Note ohones 4 or 5 didnt even realize it was there. Once I showed, they loved it.
